Not gonna lie, I'm using the quest overpriced hand straps, I like them a lot but when Kiwi Design releases their extended grip with battery door I'll probably swap over to that because I have rechargable Batteries witha USB-C Connector so I can just charge them while they stay in the touch controllers and they last a hell of a lot longer then the charging dock batteries.

Does't alcohol damage the lenses? I saw on quest 3 lenses sticker "do not use liquid cleaners to clean lenses" (or somthing like that). @@Charlie_Fucsard
Currently using the Kiwi Quest 3 controller grips, they're really good. I have the same tracking issues on Beat Saber as you described, doesn't happen all the time but can be annoying. I need a battery head strap but I'm torn between the BoboVR and the Kiwi headstrap.....
This pair does have one more hole for the low sensor. You can see that spot in the thumbnail and I think we showed it off in the video too. Some of the early grips didn't know about the low light but more I'm seeing this extra option.
I have both types also, I prefer the silicone ones feel better after I got used to the top strap buckle. My issue with both however isn't the strap but the controller alignment. The straps force you to hold the controller 'properly' and for some reason the Q3 tracking is not coming from the front of the controller, instead it comes out slightly outward and up. Not having a strap on I can just hold the controller slightly slanted to fix this, but then I can't really interact with the buttons or stick well. Meta needs to fix this, or at least make it adjustable in settings as it makes things a bit awkward.
Ive been using the meta grips since release, havent seen a set i like yet. Im picky and dont like when they have a rivet or something at the top of the strap that digs into your hand and is uncomfortable. I am eagerly awaiting a release of a grip that extends the length of the controler a bit. I ended up with kiwis on my Q1 and Q2 and was happy with both. The Q1 version extended the controller very little, and the Q2 version quite a bit. Right in the middle would be perfect. Hopefully kiwi will release one soon, and they're just taking their time to get it right. I never bought a headset on release. I didn’t realize the waiting game that was accessories.
Brand new quest 3. Played the first night a little. Charged the headset and left the controllers on the table. next night put headset on and LOST TRACKING and controllers seemed dead. clicked the button on the headset which put a selector on the screen and tried to continue clicking the button but couldnt do anything. Seems like batteries would last longer than that right? need to find out how to factory reset this dang thing next.
The one with the red rim is really bad. Sometimes when you swing your hands quickly and don't grip tightly, it can pull the cover off and the controller can fall out of your hand. It happened to me twice and I had to change to silicone grips.
Would you be able to review a few dock options for the quest 3? You've only really reviewed the meta charging dock, your custom acrylic one, and the cyber core most of which are pretty pricy
I supposedly have a couple more coming but the only one that arrived they messaged me and said they found a system defect so they're swapping parts and sending new ones... in my experience when that happens the new one never arrives but I'll at least email them again and look at some other docks I can buy on Amazon

I have bigger hands and while I did grab some kiwi grips the controller still feels small. Waiting for the kiwi grips that extend q3 controllers and hoping they come soon.
Have you tried the amvr grips without the silicone that just replaces the battery door. I got it to work with the charging dock by dremmeling some plastic where the battery is flush. I followed a picture. Y someone on Reddit. I would post a picture of it but idk where to. Is there a discord ?
@@jaybratt im talking about the amvr grips that don’t have the silicone cover. The ones that just replace the battery door. They don’t work on the meta dock natively without some sanding but they r what I rock and I love the best imo
@@xXParrallaxXx I know I tried those at one point and same issue they didn't work on the dock. I'll have to look into the sanding down option though. Amvr could list them as slight modification required.

I do feel like the thumbsticks feel a bit insignificant too. When you use a PS5 or Xbox a lot and then jump on Quest they feel tiny and harder to keep your thumb on.

I love the AMVR ones. They have the nice silicone with ridges which fixes the biggest problem with the controllers but a bit more expensive

I use a microfiber cloth with rubbing alcohol to clean them. Never use tissues or normal cloth is my understanding.

There is a sensor on the side of the base of the handle that these will cover, I had a similar pair that caused some issuses.
