12 year old me with my dad in Electronic Boutique games asked the clerk if this game was any good, he said he liked it but was probably the only one who did. my dad and i bonded over this game helping me to not be such a scaredy cat and beat the game solo and learn to love rock music via the games introduction of Breaking Benjamin before they started to hit it big. that was over 18 years ago. and now I think about the memories shared with my late father from back then. wish time would slow down some now but this brought back good memories, thanks for the upload!

I remember being super young and my whole family liked to play video games, so we picked this up and sat around our small Tv at the time and played it, all of us taking turns. I was probably too young to be playing it though hahaha but it was some good memories.
All I remember was walking around Gamestop looking for something cool to play. I must have been as young as 10 years old. I can NEVER forget the Cover Art. Shiny, just recently polished metal with the Brute's face. RLH cut through. The small figure of Cap running. This game terrified me with excitement and looking back I did not know that there were soooo many Voice Talents involved. And damn, the music. I had the PS2 copy. I love this game with all my being because the 90's to early 2000's made games with cool ideas/concepts and not so much risk. They just had an idea and went with it.
More people used to actually try to make good games with more competition on them and more consumers willing to pay for good content and not micro transactions

When I was 6, my dad bought me a Original Xbox he found at a garage sale with about 40+ games. This was 2006. All the games were xbox except ONE. Run Like Hell. It always sat on my shelf as the one Playstation game I never played. It just randomly came up as a thought and wanted to look up some gameplay footage of this game. I'm glad I didn't play it, I would have been horrified.
I played the demo for this when I was a little kid and showed it to my dad so he would go buy it and instead I got my ass beat and never got to see what happened after the first boss. So thanks guy👍
I still have this game in his box since 2012, maybe I never played the known Horror games of the mythic PS2 like Silent Hill 2 or Fatal Frame, but I am happy of the good infancy that I get with this game 😢

And how archaic it is now. Omg the response on the controllers is completely awful. Those mini games seem almost impossible to complete nowadays.
Those insect things at 3:55:06 are horribly cheap. I was vibing with this game up to this point where I died like 3 times in seconds... They made such out there enemies like grossly over powered and nasty when no enemy has ever killed you this fast... there is no chance to even see them before they fall on you and you're dead for the 3rd time in a row and you can't even heal in time before you fully process... Yeah thanks devs
i was 13 or 14 when i played this game and it's unfortunate that i wasn't able to understand the game's story very well given my english were very poor back then. It's a shame that i didn't know those chip were meant to upgrade the rifle so i literally was using a shitty rifle with no upgrade until almost the end of the game XD
ah yes copyrighted music in game making content difficult to make. use the bursts they make the damage higher, space it out over tapping. it feels counterintuitive but it IS better. 4:46:00 you go in the room get the space suit and i think you miss possibly the best gun... or that's in a room similar to that one.
while anthropoid its nice to see all the sophonts in this game (sophont meaning sapient alien species) looks drastically different from one another while also looking drastically different from humans outside of vague body shape. Especially the large insectoid alien scientist, the went all out on that one.
Not particularly relevant to this video, but I just wanted to give a memorial to the 100% walkthrough of this game done by another UA-camr. I was just watching it under a week ago, it was done by this guy who was really thorough and knowledgeable about the game, and he even managed to find the extra Xbox Live content from some demo disc since Xbox Live has been shut down. I took a break from watching the walkthrough for a bit, but now that I decided to search it out I’ve discovered that it’s been wiped away from existence. I’ve been searching everywhere, I searched through my watch history, I thought I subscribed to the guy, but everywhere I look it seems that the walkthrough and the UA-camr himself has been erased without a trace. It’s one thing for a huge UA-camr or a popular video to disappear only for the content to be archived by a dedicated channel or on another site, but it’s a tragedy for a small let’s player to disappear and not be popular enough to have anything archived, nothing left but a faded memory. This comment is the sole proof that this one UA-camr and his 100% walkthrough for Run Like Hell on the Xbox existed at one point, as sad as I am to say it. Screw UA-cam for making a good small UA-camr and his hard work spanning over years into nothing, making it the ultimate lost media that no one could possibly recover.

The DLC includes two lazy levels; the first is an Arena where hordes of enemies (mostly Scouts and Cutters) spawn every round in a giant open ended room and a Shooting Gallery level that just you sitting on a laser cannon shooting at enemies (mostly Scouts and Cutters again) in a barren long hallway until it’s over. I wouldn’t be surprised if these rooms for the two levels were stripped and reworked from the base game but I can’t bother confirming that. As for the character skins, outside of Samantha there are three more; a Cyber skin where he gets metallic body armor and white eyes, the Eightball skin where you play as a Black man with a jacket that has an eightball symbol on shoulders, and a Zombie skin where you’re completely skinless, your spine is sticking out of your back, and you’re wearing an ugly neon orange jacket. Nothing terribly too interesting all things considered. What’s much more interesting is that while the let’s play I referred to has since been taken down, I believe the creator (who I believe is MachineDJP) did reupload a remake of that let’s play. Unfortunately, he opted to have no commentary at all (which I usually prefer, but I found his commentary had a kind of homely charm to it), and even worse he disabled all comments so most of the videos don’t even reach the 100 view mark. It’s a bittersweet ending but a sweet one nonetheless.

I played this as a kid. Now I am 31. I thought I was half way through it. Guess I was only 1/6th of the way through it.

IMO it's rated just right. It was certainly not terrible, but all the criticism it got back in the day was, and still is, well deserved.
