PLEASE NOTE: The sound mixing is not great. Most of the in-game cutscenes have a lot of background noise which makes it difficult to hear the dialogue. There is a slider for sound effects, but it also controls the volume for the pre-rendered scenes.
Here is what the volume levels are like: imgur.com/a/hrYm8 I have increased the volume of the pre-rendered scenes in my editing program and I made an attempt to have them be at around the same level as the rest of the video.
There are no subtitles.

It's been over a decade since I last played this great game. I hope there will be a sequel or remastered version of this game soon.
Neither is likely to happen. Reception to the game was terrible, and I don't think it sold well either.

Kelvin T Yeah, it had a lot of potential. It was a decent game that felt very unpolished. That would probably be my biggest, if not only criticism. Had they spent more time on it and refined the gameplay, it could have been amazing. Maybe we can get a remake/reboot at some point. I'm not holding my breath for anything, though. The game will probably remain in obscurity.
@@SlasherIncorporated You know what I'd love to make, a spiritual successor. Dead Space was too different to carry on as one, but I really want to see a game like this. So maybe after I am done with my current game, something that really tributes this game would be glorious.

Just came back to this game in 2019 after like 10 years.
Found it kind of cool that the game featured Fallouts "pip boy" and learned that interplay actually made this game. Was kinda neat, little me never paid attention to things like that.
Can´t believe I never heard about this game. Last time I really loved (and cared) about main cast was Mass Effect series. I agree with Bushman007 - this is MORE than criminally underrated! This should have a sequel.

Thanks for this well put together edit of the scenes, was like 12 when my cuz and I used to trade this game back and forth beating it, it was a ton of fun for us back in the day. Lance Henrikson has been my favorite voice actor ever since

I played this game as a kid and It scared the shit outta me but I loved it and it took me a year to find this but HOLY SHIT IT WAS WORTH IT!!!! Praying for a remaster or sequal!!!🙏🙏🙏

It came up a few times while I was recording it. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this game was partially the inspiration for Dead Space but the concept of "body snatchers" and being trapped somewhere with something that wants you dead isn't exactly original.

@@LookBackGaming Well it's not original but it was done pretty damn well. I even would argue that this game did some things better than Dead Space, especially regarding the body snatcher concept. But I kinda wished there was a sequel, to clean up the gameplay.

I feel like the makers of dead space got some of their ideas from this game. The growth on the walls, the cutters, brutes.
I had a demo for this game when it came out on Dreamcast. Never got to play it though. I'm loving these cutscenes and I'm only 30 minutes in.

Yes, and the Commander is Michael Ironside. This game to me was/is a legend from my childhood. It introduced me not only to my first ever favorite storyline told in a game, but Bawls energy drink and most importantly one of my all time favorite bands- Breaking Benjamin. Their 4 songs from their first album debuted in this game, Polyamorous, Home, Water, and Shallow Bay. SO much of this game I absolutely loved. Will always be the craziest, luckiest little $12 bin find that meant so much more for much longer to me than near any other game to date. Only other game franchise whoes story got me has been the Red Dead franchise.
Also Admiral Hackett from Mass Effect.

This game had a susperstar lineup of VA's, and the soundtrack itself was legendary. They spent the money on the goods with this game.
Definitely one of the best and creepiest games of the PS2 era

When I was a kid my older cousin gave this game to me, probably knowing it would scare the crap out of a youngster like me. I would play it and then take long breaks just to build up the courage to play it again. What an OG game. HIGHLY UNDERRATED
This game is one of the reasons we bought our 1st Xbox. It is amazing and was a blast to play. Also turned us on to Breaking Benjamin over 20 years ago. Wish they would create a sequel or a remake. Played this not too many years back with my son. He loves it as much as I do. TY for this video. Memories - unlocked.
I find it ironic that this is an alien invasion game yet one of the heroes himself is an alien.
Well it was a parasite invasion game. Best way to describe the bad guys in this game.

Whatever happened to this game .. This was one of the first horror shooters I'd ever played that allowed an actual rotational and movable character I played that wasn't like Resident Evil or Silent Hill .. In all honesty I would love to see this revamped remade or give us the part 2 that was shown at the ending ...
