Best Maid Sour Pickles are the best sour pickles on the market! My mouth is watering as I’m typing this out lol 😂 🤤. It’s so good they even gave a Best Maid pickle beer and it’s delicious. My runner up are the Vlasic Zesty Dill spears. I highly recommend both!

As eat alone pickles they are just too much for me. As additions to any sort of salad, though (tuna, chicken, potato) they are perfect. Deets and Watson are my favorite stand alone pickles and they didn't even garner a mention in this taste test, so ymmv.

My next favorite is the Kroger Brand, also in the refrigerated section.. Not sure if this one is reviewed.. I tend to buy the Mt Olive pickles for the size. They pair well on a burger and sanwiches that are served with mustard. The one gallon jars I buy them in are popular with crafts people for Teraniums.
Although I do also like Bread and Butter Pickles for sandwiches that don't pair well with mustard. Like seafood.

  • @brianczuhai8909

My choice is Safe Way. Plus, they are cheap and Krogers sells them. The key is a uniform crunch and bite thru the skin and pickle with no mushiness or harder skin. Mt. Olive is 2nd. My favorite brine is Vlasic Sweet Heat.
I grow and make my own pickles. Fermenting is a must. It gives me that uniform crunch and bite thru the skin and pickle. Brine flavor you can control and spice it how you like.
Buy a couple of brands. Compare and contrast. More expensive ones aren’t necessarily worth the cost.
