only apply to dusk, not the main boos of the chapter 4, because you can beat it and come back later. Don´t beat the Dusk until you beat the Scorpion and the masked guy
Use medicine and prioritize getting in as many light attacks when your strands are fighting with you. Each hit = more time they are helping. I got him one hit in the first 40 seconds of the fight then waiting for immobilize him so u can get the last hit. Fight took me 3 tries . Very easy just need to make sure you hit hard and hit fast. Also use your transformation also when decoys are out, free extra light hits and then the big heavy jump slash ( I use the fire sword guy). This fight wasn’t bad at all
Thanks for putting this video together! After viewing his move patterns a few times, I started to memorize his attacks better and dodge according. Before long, I got him down to 15% health and had no magic to immobilize him one more time. So just kept cool, remembered how many attacks he does in phase 2 and finally got him!!!
Excellent analysis i think you are the only one who reads and explains the enemy moves with precision instead of just instructing use this, have this build and do this... I came in search of the chapter 4 end boss, hope you will make a video on him
OMG you helped sooo much! i took some tries to just learn his move set in the beginning, and i normally use pillar stance, and when he does his triple tail whip im able to just stand up there and wait it out, but it took some serious learning so i could time it right! i fought him normally on the first phase and then on the second phase i was able to really chunk his health bar down enough that once i use my transformation i was able to kill em ! tysmmm,, without this video i felt so lost and had no plan!
i was too tired to have a fair fight with him so i got him to lose some 30% health and applied your trick (the spell routine) - worked perfectly. thank you
Yeah it’s nice that he went to the effort of braking down the animations. It also teaches you to watch bosses more, which is a handy side effect. I jumped into this game without any previous experience in this type of game and it forces you to get better pretty quick lol.
It’s not even that this boss is legit dog water and not fun. It’s not even challenging either just pure dumb. Bro switches up his attacks like the game wants us to just spam our dodge button hoping this dude doesn’t do an extra attack. No patterns at all
@@sonicjaxon8107 tbh I don’t mind that aspect cuz the few endgame bosses do that a lot but still remain really fun hard bosses, my problem is largely the camera, and how deceptively fast some moves to boot make this boss some of the worst in the game

Superbe guide. That boss is quite evil but he is nothing compared to the ending boss of that level. But weirdly, I feel I’m beating the enemies faster than at the beginning now. I guess we get better as we play.
This is an excellent boss analysis Instant subscription. I've wanted to get into using clones, but they cost so much and take so long to cast, I can never figure out how to use them effectively
whats the whole point of rock solid, literally most strong bosses always have a counter attack after it lands which kinda ruins the point of rock solid. Literally cloud step always stuns all bosses.
I just want to say your build recommendations HELPED! I took him down in 4-5 tries, after trying for about a week and some days to defeat this guy. All heroes don’t wear capes 😭😭😭😭 The only thing I used diff was the Golden Embroidered Shirt and its armor (wouldn’t have matted). I don’t have the 3 curios yet, so I just used the Jade Moon Rabbit and Gold Sun Crow. Used the Chitlin Staff. And Wondering Wright. Overall the re-spec is what did the job
I know people will say get good but to me quite a few of these bosses seem bullshit. They have so much stuff in their arsenal it’s kind of frustrating. Not to mention they are these anthropomorphic creatures with wired hit boxes and with Wukong being short, I’d say a good 10%+ of your attacks will not land due to the height disparity. Don’t get me started on the unrealistic tracking of the player especially when coming out of immobilization. They turn on a dime. Never felt this way when playing games like sekiro. Maybe it’s just me.
The idea is to respec for every boss. stances are easy: low aoe sweeps -> pillar. slow walking like yellow loong -> thrush. Yellow loong lots of def. for others it is a curio that helps. often the curio you find in a chapter tends to be good for the mandatory bosses (or at least the end chapter boss). Most 2 hp bar enemies you need to do the 1st bar with normal attacks. They all also have tells (as explained in this video for scorpio)
Sekiro still has camera BS and 1 fight for me in sekiro was also BS against demon of hatred cause this boss has been disigned to be in dark soul not in sekiro and that was bs and the camera angle was also bs against some bosses. Sekiro is very good tho 😊 ( in case dont make me say what i didnt said )
That's why I laugh when people compare games to sekiro. Sekiro's combat has never been recreated and it is on a level no other game you can come close to. In my opinion, elden ring took a massive step backwards. Sekiro parry system is so well done. Boss fights are balanced so well. The game is optimized phenomenally.Yeah, even when it's running at thirty f.P s. There is a blueprint for making great games built around a structure of boss fights, and it amazes meHow many developers still miss the mark
@RobK-rl6sn There's no parry system in sekiro, it's a reflective system a bit like lies p. In games, a parry is intended to allow the player to counter-attack right afterwards, in sekiro, you can't parry, but you can deflect the attack, which is very different from a parry.
I watched tips on how to beat this guy. Went in with 430 mana for pluck and 650 health. Played around for a bit to get used to his moves, confident that I would own him. Finally was ready to mess him up. I dodged first attack, cast pluck, cast immobilized....he shot out of immobilized without being hit? Went into cloud step ...and..and he hit me with a grab, a freaking grab while I waz in cloud step. This dude waz definitely buffed since the launch. I think alot of the bosses were. Either way got him after 5 serious attempts, but it was close.
Thanks man! Tried this technique got him first try after well over 50 attempts. I did the combo from the start to test how to do it and I got lucky with some staggers in the end!
A reliable way to start the fight I have found to get him to half without pretty much any buff is to 1. Go left a bit until you run into the tree, charge up 1 focus then run towards his spawn, run in with a full charged heavy and slam as he pose with his opening dialogue you will knock him into the house (invisible wall) or the corner with the tree 2. run forward do 2 light attack (he will start a random attack if you do 3 and some attacks will massively reduce the immobilize time), immobilize, continue with 3rd and 4th light attack string (depend on your damage, you can reset with 1st light attack as long as you dont break the immobilize) after the last hit of the 4th light attack string, big head head butt which will knock him down then finish your 5th light attack finish which will stagger him out of the knockdown. 3. you can do a full light attack combo (5 strings), he will always do the tail attack combo at 1:50 next, if you perfect dodge at least 2 hits you will have 4 focus (assuming you get all the focus related talents) and he is already 50-60% health depending on your head butt/charged attack crit or not, if you land the 4 focus hit he is already 40%, now you can cloud step for more damage or save it for when you need it
This is literally the ONLY helpful guide on the internet, I swear. Everything just basically says "buff and use spells." Well I do use spells and I'm out of buffs because I can't beat this boss. Thanks for breaking down the dodge timings and how to counter after. I feel like for how big he is, he's always just out of reach cuz he moves so much and I just can't HIT him.
I got him today. A good, but cheap amount of damage can be done by run charging into overhead smash to start the match. Then dash forward followed by a jump heavy. It’ll push him into the shrub and rocks to the left of his shed. I also like to follow up with lots of Red Tide light attacks while he’s trapped in that area.
Thrust stance charged heavy attack is the key to victory. The boss will walk up to you slowly a lot, giving you plenty of time to charge the attack which has awesome range. Rock Solid is also important for this fight to block the bosses charged attacks and underground attack. Mostly though, keep your distance and charge that thrust. Immobilize the boss when you can and attack for more focus.
Killed it with my 2nd attempt using this strat: 1st tested with going all out but it left a large gap where it was too aggressive; 2nd I started going all out at around 50-60%; it had about 5% left and almost died. Had a couple of well timed dodge for me to get a final cloud step and a stun. The bat is a serious game changer.
This was the hardest Boss so far. Thank you for the very good explanation and strategy. But still I needed a lot of attempts....got him often down to 10% or close and with 3 fast combos he killed.me. this nightmare boss has a no mercy with the weak 😂😂
Excellent guide! Your method didn't work very well for me, but I was able to defeat the boss thanks to your analysis. For those great at dodging and has spell binder, you can try using that. Here's how I defeated him: 1. I invested my celestial medicines in mana and poison resistance 2. I used the Non-pure armour set. This also gives some poison resistance. 3. I used thunderflame seal curios for mana and Cuo jin-yin belt hook for an extra poison resistance, but if you have antimiasma powder, it is also fine. 4. I used Chitin staff as my weapon for the extra crit chance, but the chu-bai spear is also good if you're using thrust stance. 5. I didn't have enhanced tiger pellets so I used the regular one, but if you have enhanced, that's obviously better. 6. I maxed out spell binder and invested the rest in martial arts and the fundamentals, sjnce I wasn't planning on using any other spells I reallocated the sparks. 7. I used apramana bat like suggested at the start of the fight, immediately followed by my transformation. I personally used red tides due to his fast attacks, and this is just to reduce his health a bit. Immediately, the transformation is over, and I cast spell binder. I used thrust stance and tactical retreat helped me a lot to gain the upperhand in certain scenarios. After switching to this strat, I defeated him in my second attempt. Hope this helps anyone who wants to try it
I reclaimed all my mindcores and made the celestial defence increasing pill and i put all my sparks into defence attack and mana. I upgraded my immobilise and cloud step to the max and used a special gourd which replenishes ur mana and a soak that does extra unveiling strike damage. I took the tiger subduing pills and the evil repellent medicaments and entered the arena. I charged my heavy to three focus points and attacked him first. He staggered and falls back so i get close to him and use my wandering wight spirit on him. Then i do the light attack combo and the moment hes about to hit me i immobilise him. After the spell breaks he immediately tries to attack so i activate cloud step. I drink from the gourd inorder to increase the unveiling strike damage and charge my focus upto three points and does an unveiling heavy attack on him. I immediately use wind tamer and attack him. If he gets up i do immobilise again and when the cloud stwp charges up again i do the same thing. It was still kinda hard as i had to dogde somewhat frequently
there's no way I can remember all of this he does these comobos so quicky I very hard to guess what he's gonna do next, I can just hope to kill him in in some atampt
Use medicine and prioritize getting in as many light attacks when your strands are fighting with you. Each hit = more time they are helping. Had him down to one inch of energy then he madly spammed attacks so fast it was impossible to keep rolling. At times I think the bosses glitch. Also had him down to 2 inches and got stuck in the ground with another glitch and he beat me.
I've noticed if my PS5 controller batteries are low, I can't seem to dodge for shit. Once it's charged, I can. Maybe it's just in my head but same got him down to one hit and he just went crazy and of course those camera angles don't help 😂😂
Thank you for this guide, it's a really good one on a very difficult fight. Would you be willing to do a guide on the normal final boss (Stone + Great)? Or the secret final boss? Currently they are both beating me up 😅
I absolutely will but probably not in time for you sorry. I'm only a small, casual content creator so it takes me time, wish I had more to play games haha. I'm doing Duskveil and Hundred Eye now so I'm getting there
@@WilstormGaming No problems, you helped me finally get past Yin Tiger and I appreciate it hugely 😁 plus, it'll be helpful when your guides out regardless because in NG+ the scaling makes those bosses end up hitting crazy hard so I'll need to know all the actual moves by then and can't power through it lol
Beat him fourth try after almost breaking a controller lol. Ite so what I did was first run with three focus point heavy attack. Then as your do dodges like in the video, once he finishes his combo he takes a slight pause. That’s when I would deal damage with light attack to build focus. Once he’s 3/4 or half then once he does the running charge attack stun him with 3 focus point thrust heavy attack. When he falls down immobilize him and then use pluck of many. Once activated you have to stay consistently attacking which deal a lot of damage. Once you have him at what ever health you have him at use cloud step on what ever attack you want that he does and once he’s stun I used the spirit which is a bat that freezes the enemy. Once he’s frozen I used red times since his heavy attack is a fast slash. I picked red tides because literally every other spirit couldn’t dodge his attacks and didn’t in 3 hits. That’s how I did, but you can try that with what ever stats you want.
I never got bored fighting bosses over and over again in the souls games, in Wu kong I can fight a boss 3 or 4 times and get insanely bored and not play for a week or two
This boss feels like it came out of a hack and slash game on hard difficulty and feels outta place. Because you need to spam dodge hoping he doesn’t hit you but my god do his combos go on for a long time.
Anyone having a real hard time with this boss: Use the Transformation you get from the Loong in the same chapter. You can stun lock the ToxiScorp down to about 50% health, but then you are on your own. I found maxing Crit % with the cloudstep unveiling strike very useful to stay alive between transformations. He’s still a pain in the ass regardless. gl
This boss has no downtime between his combos whatsoever. His abilities are easy to dodge once you get used to it, but its literally so hard to get any attacks in.
That guy is unbeatable. Every time he´s homeing in on me, his attacks lands EXACTLY where I try to dodge. His shining claw attack? Impossible to dodge, I am always getting hit by it. His tailattacks? At LEAST his last attack always hit. More than half his HP is the most I can get away from him IF I AM VERY LUCKY! -.- Homeming seems to be what every boss since chapter 4 does. Yellow Loong does it too and I can´t beat him either.
Got him first try. Legendary pilgrim wear (all 4), chitin staff. Smash stance, fully maced out pluck of many, tiger subduing pellets, immobility. That's all it took. It was wayyyyyy too easy than I has built it up in my head!
I don't think my console is reading my controller inputs right when I do them. I know I'm not the best at dodging, but damn, when there's no Spider/Batman sense, I really suck at it, lmao.
How in the hell are y'all beating this? I got as close as one hit and I dodged a hit and somehow he spammed a combo right away. Haven't gotten as close again. I am no all out of pills. I am doing my best to time the dodges and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I need someone to beat this for me. This is the only boss ive had trouble with. Ive beaten everyone else in 2-3 attempts, and this is the only one that doesn't register my hits or dodges
He keeps getting me with his claw where he pins me into to ground and his tail that pins me and rips me a new one. I usually get one shotted from these and i cant figure out how to dodge it.
I think I know which one you mean. At about 3:08 I talk about the tail whip that pins you into a grab attack and then he jabs you with it, very lethal. At about 3:16 I show you what it looks like.
Something weird happened today. So i entered the arena of the duskwell boss and saw Scorpion lord attacking the duskwell. I decided to help out the scorpion but it got killed by the duskwell. Is it a bug or something?
Doesn't sound like a bug, sounds like a subtle/secret side quest or sequence of bosses that has triggered this. Very interesting. Did you do Hundred Eyed guy before these two?
That happens if you don´t defeat the Scorpion and go to fight Dusk. If you want the rewards, have to fight the Scorpion and the masked guy before fighting Duskveil.
Tip: Don't face the chapter boss before killing this boss. It will not show up again.
Good to know, I didn't know that. Annoying when you miss bosses like that
And finish the side quest given by the person with a mask before killing the hidden boss or he’ll disappear too. It seems to be a thing in that game.
Yeah killed the main guy then went back and he’s gone 😔
It’s not true i fought with main boss already and he is still there
only apply to dusk, not the main boos of the chapter 4, because you can beat it and come back later. Don´t beat the Dusk until you beat the Scorpion and the masked guy

Though I wish you explained that arm ground slam combo at around 5:02. Having a hard time perfect dodging all of them

If you have the Ebon Flow transformation I highly recommend it, the damage output is insane!!
there's no way I can remember all of this he does these comobos so quicky I very hard to guess what he's gonna do next, I can just hope to kill him in in some atampt
Use medicine and prioritize getting in as many light attacks when your strands are fighting with you. Each hit = more time they are helping. This fight wasn’t bad at all
Yo 1st try after build thx so much 🎉🎉. Recorded it for proof 😅
Nicely done! Glad it worked for you!
This is one if those where you need tons tenacity enhancements, or otherwise he'll just keep knocking you out of your finishers.
Great video, a few if yours have helped me now.. Got this one on maybe 3rd try after using your technique!
The hardest part about this boss is that you can’t attack from the back at all
thank you for this video.
Finally beat him with this strategy!
Being stuck in chapter 4 and having the Choice between two garbage bosses. Great!
Bro I jus want to thank you for the video I was able to beat him in 5 tries
I never got bored fighting bosses over and over again in the souls games, in Wu kong I can fight a boss 3 or 4 times and get insanely bored and not play for a week or two
Did they buff this boss? This is insane I’ve tried this exact method it just doesn’t do it for me lol
I believe so.., he is far more aggressive for me.
This boss feels like it came out of a hack and slash game on hard difficulty and feels outta place. Because you need to spam dodge hoping he doesn’t hit you but my god do his combos go on for a long time.
Yellow loong save me on this boss fight. Love that transformation.
He’s still a pain in the ass regardless. gl
ol’ Scorpy is a mean drunk
Thank you!!!❤
This boss has no downtime between his combos whatsoever.
Actually this boss can be defeated with no-damage.~ People always eager to attack without carefully analyzing the boss's attack mode.
i died so much to this boss it dissappeared
I liked the guy. He helped me fight the dusk. Not sure why and how he wanted to avenge his wife with this.
Fun fact: I tried using Chu Bai spear, against this guy, and apparently a lot of the hits wouldnt connect! Frustrating.
Bro same I had to switch to one of my staffs I’m fighting him right now and he is a pain 🤦🏾♂️
The worst thing about this boss for me is lock on.
Some of my hits just seem to completely miss him.
Got him first try. Legendary pilgrim wear (all 4), chitin staff. Smash stance, fully maced out pluck of many, tiger subduing pellets, immobility. That's all it took. It was wayyyyyy too easy than I has built it up in my head!
Great video. This boss was bullshit in a lot of ways. I finally beat him but it really felt like luck at the end lol
I don't think my console is reading my controller inputs right when I do them. I know I'm not the best at dodging, but damn, when there's no Spider/Batman sense, I really suck at it, lmao.
Forward dodges seem to be better for most of his hits. At least that’s how I managed to survive this BS.
This guy helped me beat Duskveil
How in the hell are y'all beating this? I got as close as one hit and I dodged a hit and somehow he spammed a combo right away. Haven't gotten as close again. I am no all out of pills. I am doing my best to time the dodges and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Does anyone knows how do our character automatically moves in cinematic manner .what are the ps5 buttons to enable that movement
Lo máximo Gracias, me costo bastante 😊
I need someone to beat this for me. This is the only boss ive had trouble with. Ive beaten everyone else in 2-3 attempts, and this is the only one that doesn't register my hits or dodges
i wil try this, but i wonder how you can have 3 curios. i only can use 2.
Challenge and defeat Yin Tiger then once you beat him speak to him again for dialogue option
Camera f'd me, he f'd me. I got there in the end but no question my worst boss exp thus far
I’m so pissed I missed this guy I accidentally went to the dusk veil boss😭
They expect you to remember all this guys randoms attacks?
How do I get him to some making me T pose on rolls???? He also just won’t stop attacking
How many hrs somebody need to play against the lord scorpio to memorize all the combos 😑
This is why no one except fromsoft should make souls games
Something weird happened today. So i entered the arena of the duskwell boss and saw Scorpion lord attacking the duskwell. I decided to help out the scorpion but it got killed by the duskwell. Is it a bug or something?
Doesn't sound like a bug, sounds like a subtle/secret side quest or sequence of bosses that has triggered this. Very interesting. Did you do Hundred Eyed guy before these two?
@@WilstormGaming I still haven’t defeated the hundred eyed boss yet. It could be the secret side quests that triggered it just like in chapter 2.
Yeah not sure, very strange, did you skip scorpion and go straight to Duskveil? Very interesting cool find!
Same 😂
That happens if you don´t defeat the Scorpion and go to fight Dusk. If you want the rewards, have to fight the Scorpion and the masked guy before fighting Duskveil.
2 tries. Got unbelievably luck and finished with no gourd juice and like 8% health, died on the way to the shrine from poison 😂
Finally defeated this guy took me about 20 try’s annoying boss ever defo recommend using yellow loong takes more damage 😊
Okay again explain about if u fight duskdevil he don't show
