The fly away cost of a B2 and probably the B21 airframe plus engines and basic flight control software is about the same as a 747. Considering the the special nature of this aircraft with military grade systems for an aircraft that is key to the defense of our country is not much of an increase over a domestic aircraft. The big issue that drives up the cost is that you buy 1000+ 747 whereas you buy 22 B-2 or 100+ B-21 and the development cost for the 747 evens out over 1000+ whereas the military bombers are much more pricey, This goes for new car/truck models = if they do not sell 100,000 of then the 30k drive of the lot cost goes up to 100k if they only sell 30000 cars/trucks.

I got be at one of the b2 unveilings in the 90s as a kid w my cousin bc my uncle (his dad) was on the project and the test pilot gave me and my cousin a 24x24 signed photo which i have on my wall still n im 37..as a kid that might as well been the long wingspan plane i ever seen in my life i could not believe how large that plane was in person..and then i moved to florida and saw two flyovers out of macdill with f16s flanking and they looked like little insects next to it
