Movies, games, and the occasional editorial.
From A-Z list films, video games, and other overlooked goodness.
It's about time someone had the balls to stand up to Big Peanut.
Someone has to do it!
Love this channel. Been watching for like 10 years or something. 😊
"And then there was nun..." Bravo, Cecil. Bravo.
I do these things for the folks who I know will notice. :)
@@GoodBadFlicks /me puts hand up, giggling
Incredible. Schlocky early 90s action films are my favorite thing ever.
"We'll let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes." , cold man.
:)
I remember this from late night TV when I was a kid, possibly a USA Up All Night staple. Watching this video, I suddenly remembered it beat by beat. A really fun B-movie that I’ll have to track down again all these decades later. Thanks for the memories, Cecil!
Thanks for watching!
Maybe George is the developer of the game and we're seeing one of his fantasies. The woman could be an ex that he put into the game because he can't forget her.
Ah, the old evil Big Peanut axis. A tale as old as time.
Lynette Walden could be perfectly cast in Twin Peaks.
She would fit right in next to Mädchen Amick and Sherilyn Fenn.
I always think of Predator 2 when I see Morton Downey JR.
Excellent Ina Tales From the Crypt episode.
Fatal Flaw: Tough redheads
I feel called out by this awesome movie.
Personally attacked! 😮
I feel a lot of people fall into this
@@GoodBadFlicks I think you're right. Hell, just the latter more generally. Haha
What the hell. I'm used to this channel finding obscure stuff but I have NEVER heard of this movie and it's so ahead of its time it might as well have had blast processing.
This isn't even the most obscure! I can go deeper!
@@GoodBadFlicks Emperor Palaptine voice: "Do it*
Cant say how happy i am that you keep making videos man, i was there when you started. To be able to come to your channel and watch a good old Good Bad Flick is amazing. Much love to you and your family, Cheers from Brazil!
Thanks so much! I appreciate you being here from the start. Hello to Brazil from PA!
Okay, that kill in the nun costume is a kill you can do in Hitman Blood Money. Curtains down when you kill the opera singer. You replace a prop gun with a real one.
Someone on the Hitman team saw this movie
This is the perfect movie to watch in the middle of night while munching on a frozen pizza and spacing out about your fantasy football games. Thanks, Cecil!
I recommend you give the frozen pizza a short heating before eating it.
But live your life the way you like.
@@lakrids-pibe On the south side of Chicago, frozen pizza gives our teeth a workout.
@@lakrids-pibe On the plus side frozen pizza is alot easier to cut with Scissors (this is a Cobra reference).
@@NN-pe6ip
That was room temp pizza, in Cobra. That’s why it was easy to cut. That was his breakfast.
He eats that, then he criticizes his buddy and Bridgette Nielsen for eating crap. 😆
@@NN-pe6ipWonder where that idea came from, became an unforgettable scene
Well, Richard Grieco is a name I hadn't heard in quite a while. Booker!
How did I go my whole early teens and not see this movie. it looks awesome. You'd think I would have caught it on late night with movies like "In The Cold of the Night"(1990), "Tropical Heat" (1993) and "Out of the Dark"(1988). Oh man, Cecil, you HAVE to do a review of "Out of the Dark". It is right up your alley. All these movies are actually.
:)
Such a good bad flick! 😅 And Lynette Walden..😍
Damn, this movie screams the 90s all over the place and I love it.
Do you know how many CRT televisions were killed by being blasted by teenagers watching HBO at 2am? Damn you, Lynette Walden.
I have that very same Explosive Cinema film pack; I got it so I could watch Top Cop again since the old different collection someone once gave me is missing.
And I don't think I ever saw this on late-night TV as a kid, but I definitely would have enjoyed the heroine's too-tight clothing (although her as a killer nun is definitely appealing as well). I will also admit that, as confusing as it all is, it has ambition and some creativity, and it actually reminds me of the old Street Fighter cartoon from the USA Channel, where the heroes always got messages from the shadowy-yet-omnipresent Street Fighter organization to alert them to various enemy plots.
Oh man I laughed my drink out my nose with the “Terminator” reference and music that kicked in at 8:41 - this video made my day 😂
:)
Cecil I never thought you would sell out to Big Peanut
lol
Basil, parsley. Baby you got a stew going!
Put that bone in the water!
So it's like cyberpunk Red Shoe Diaries. I need to see this.
Alright, there's your dinner, eat up. 😂 that got me good. I've been watching you for years and your comedy chops have come a long way brother. I'm glad the channel seems to be doing well cuz this is one of the best on the platform in my honest opinion.
Thank you so much!
Dan Cortez reference, Richard Grieco reference, Morton Downey Jr appearance, HOMERUN Cecil 🙂
:)
I looked it up. To match the amount of protein in an 8oz steak, it's about 3 pb&j's So she's not too far off
How much is Big Peanut paying you?
I'll bet the proteins are not the same
Looks like SOMEONE is being manipulated by Big Peanut. Or, IS BIG PEANUT!
Yeah but how much is digestible protein, that's the question. If your turds are full of nut fragments then that's protein going to waste right there.
Cecil can't silence his enjoyment of this nice movie.
lol
I just logged on to yt to see what to watch.... found it!
Excellent choice, Cecil!
:)
Definitely classic banger I haven't seen this in while
This movie feels like it was sponsored by Trojan and Durex. 🤣
You had me at “Pretty Girls” lol
I haven't seen this one in decades, but it used to be an occasional favorite.
Vinegar Syndrome has acquired so many Crown International titles. Maybe this will eventually be on their radar, cause it’s been out of print for over a decade.
I would love it if VS started releasing more stuff from Crown. They have plenty to pull from.
@@GoodBadFlicks if you go through the list of the 200 titles in that Mill Creek, Drive In Cult Cinema Collection, it’s surprising how many Crown titles VS has acquired.
When i first saw this movie back in the stone age, i think i interpreted they guy playing the game as another assassin, and the arcade actually being a "delivery mechanism" for assignments that the assassin's "guild" uses.
Sounds awesome.
I rewatched this a few weeks ago. I bought the DVD a long time ago at Media Play.
Keep the grind going flicks, I'm try to always comment on ur vids :)
Thanks!
11:56 "But then there's none for the rest of the film" while showing nuns. I see what you did there. 😉😂🤣 But seriously, sounds like an interesting movie, and was able to find it on shall we say certain websites, so bookmark it to check it out. Thank you for this.
Glad a few people picked up on the "nun" line. Hope you can find the movie (its not currently streaming) and enjoy it!
I have a vague recollection of this movie from HBO (I think). Should tell you that I've seen 100s of flicks on HBO alone, mostly in the 90s. The first couple of movies that I saw included Interceptor starring Andrew Divoff in a rare good guy role. (Never saw the OG with Clint Eastwood, but based on what little I know about it, I think that it's a lower budget Firefox.)
Also, an early film for me on HBO was The Punisher with my favorite portrayal of Frank Castle to this day, Dolph Lundgren. Sorry I'm rambling, but I don't have much to say about today's topic, except I love the namecheck of The Hidden (one of my top 10 films ever).
90s movies with video games subplots were weird, indeed.
*cough*Nirvana*cough*
Never heard of this one. Wow.
Looks like something you would find on CDi or Amiga CD32
Nice! Thanks for making Monday closing shift better!
You are welcome!
Weird, this flick was already on my IMDB to watch list and I dont even remember adding it. Which means its been there a LONG time.
11:57 Heeeey, I see what you did there! 😏
The Kindred (1987) is a great little creature feature that really needs more love. Still waiting on that video for The Kindred. Hoping it's coming soon?
o my. i rented this on laserdisc back then!
If this movie was anymore Meta, it might attract random Deadpool cameos.
lol
For a moment I thought you were going to talk about a Dean Martin's movie "The Silencers" 😂
Your riffs are on point 😂😂😂😂
Thanks!
So now we let the sauce simmer, for 3 to 5 minutes 😂 classic
hehehe
Thats the most 90s movie I have seen.
I feel like I just mainlined pure uncut 90s! What a rush
It is one of the most 90s action movies out there.
I would like to recommend you two movies, both of which have unusual storytelling.
Look from 2007 (and also a series from 2010) was shot exclusively from the perspective of security cameras, industrial cameras, ATM cameras, etc. basically telling a story only the Big Brother could see.
Eleven Fourteen from 2003 is telling five independent but intertwined stories, which happen at the same time. The result: 2 accidents, 2 deaths and a random guy getting arrested.
I'll check em out!
“Ow, ow, ow, ow” BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Those things were flying!
Wow the Silencer is a goddess, i gotta see her red shoe diaries episode
Yo is that Tony Pope, live with Hardcore!?
Love the Richard Grieco & Liam Neeson slander. 😉
She looks very nice. Great outfit throughout.
She may be The Silencer, but still has a couple of peaks.
(Bad audio edit joke, but I'm really just trying to boost the algorithm.)
There is a Chilean film from 2012 called: Bring Me The Head of The Machine Gun Woman -- that is very much inspired by The Silencer.
I'm going to track this one down!
@@GoodBadFlicks I think you'll find it interesting, similar concepts; its a video game world with points awarded for killing top criminals, the protagonist is also a leather wearing hot chick that doesnt take any shit.
Hah, Zipperhead shout-out
I am a simple man. when I see these thumbnails....
I know who I am targeting with these lol
Oh hell yeah!!! This is one of my favorite movies!!!!
Thank for another great video!!!!
Said no one ever!
2:41 (Liam Neeson's confused anger)
ohey it’s hank from twin peaks
There must be something very meta we are missing
I've seen it multiple times now and I still have no idea
Sadly this film is not available for streaming not even on Tubi which is where I can usually find these hidden gems
So, is George played by the same guy who played Hank in Twin Peaks? And the guy who abducted the girl was played by the guy who played Windom Earl?
Yes
7:58 DAMN!! I thought you was going to Cecil😆😆😆😆
10:02 I thought that was Kim Delaney from "NYPD Blue?"
This film seems like a confusing mess of a film IMHO. Another awesome installment Cecil👍👍
:)
Remember seeing this one Sunday afternoon back in the late 90's on what was the local CW. Wish back then there was a way to find out what other movie/roles Lynette Walden had been in because I did want to see more of her.
The IMDB can help
@@GoodBadFlicks Didn't have the Internet till 99. A few years after seeing this movie.
Reminds me of 🎬 🎞 🎥 🎦 📽 🎟 🎬 The Assassin: Point of No Return starring Bridget Fonda 😅
I thought Richard Greico was Dollar Store Richard Greico.
lol
She was defanebtly good to look at, so was the girl she shot at the gun range. I'll have to check this out.
Lt. Dangle makes everything better.
7:58 Thats a shame. She had a bold winning game so far.
Front loaded indeed.
huh, who knew Sam Kinison played accordion?
Awesome!
The director directed an action movie??? Oh yes! Do it! There should be more female directors directing action flicks!🙂
“I am……..the pants sniffer!!!”
man... seems like without sex scenes the plot can't move forward at all, it's hilariously well explained
I'm guessing that the accordion player was their boss and that neither were in the video game, that the game is just how they assign targets and monitor agents. Maybe?
If I can ever get a hold of the director, I'll ask. I have so many questions.
Big Peanut was my nickname in high school.
Love your videos Man... We need a Cynthia Rothrock series from you. Shes a Baddie!!
Thanks! She is indeed
CECIL RULES !!!
Thank you!
@@GoodBadFlicks Watching your superb channel even helped me through some pretty tough times crowned in the end by the Pandemic
Lynette Walden was born in Metropolis Illinois home of Superman?!?! She would have made an amazing Lois Lane!
Oh wow, she would have been great
Lynette Walden would make a nice addition to Dead Or Alive DLC.
I'd buy that
Hello Cecil, this film sounds & looks alot of fun. I hope its on Tubi or gets a blu ray release. :)
:)
Damn. What a shame Achievements and Trophies weren’t around in the 90s.
sold
for the record on the video game thing. streets of rage was 1991. so thats about the period.
Streets of Rage had one of the best soundtracks in game history
The way she hide behind that pole was so Tom & Jerry-ish lmao
Very much so!
I had a brain aneurysm just looking at this video. Thank God I didn't just play the movie!
they know chefs
10:44 Damnit, Michelle!
Have you ever done a video on Lorenzo Lamas "Snake Eater", it is such a Horribly good , bad movie. The acting was so bad and the storyline was all over. Def loved it and would love to hear what you think of the trilogy.
My understanding is that they are not all in a game, he's using the game to watch her as if its via hidden cameras, and his phasing into the game at the end was implying that he was always another mark and going to be killed. A really bad attempt to be meta and imply he was the end boss.
That sounds fairly accurate
