NorGamer 2013 finals is better than 2016 come on Ray Allen made a 3 pointer to force overtime in game 6 that was an iconic moment and it feature 6 future hall of famers with great coaches
2016 was the best for multiple reasons... It was a test for lebrons legacy, everyone thought it was going to be impossible for him to come back from 3-1. The way they destroyed golden state the last three games was legendary considering it was a rematch from last year, first 73-9 team, and first unamimous mvp vs the kings legacy in bringing a championship to a city that hasn't won in half a century
So glad to see Barkely-Jordan '93 on here. that was a epic battle between the top guys of the 90s.. I wasn't even born yet. but they played it the whole summer of 2011
1. 2013 (Heat-Spurs I) (Jesus Shuttlesworth for the win) 2. 2010 (Lakers-Celtics II Kobe era) (Another good back and forth match up) 3. 1994 (Rockets-Knicks) (Another good back and forth match up) 4. 1998(Jazz-Bulls) (Good performance on both teams, but black jesus has spoke at the end with the shot) 5. 2005 (Spurs-Pistons)(This finals is more underrated could of easily been back-to back titles for the pistons) 6. 1985 (Lakers-Celtics II) (Lakers finally beating the celtics in the finals) 7. 1988 (Pistons-Lakers I) (Issiah Thomas' performance with one ankle) 8. 2004 (Pistons-Lakers III)(Pistons team shows that chemistry matters at the end of the day without an all-star) 9. 1984 (Celtics-Lakers I) (Bird finally beating Magic in the playoffs) 10.2016 (Warriors-Cavaliers II) (Lebron James showed his dominance on a 73-9 team with a 1-3 deficit comeback)
I'm not even a Lebron and I like the Spurs. I said those were the worst because the first one was a sweep and Spurs pretty much dominated the Heat in 2014.
Thanks for this! Great selections! But I have comments: - The 1966 NBA Finals between the Celtics and the Lakers went 7 games but I think the 1962 Finals was better as the 7th game in 1962 went to overtime. Lakers should have won in regulation but Laker Frank Selvy missed an open shot at the end of regulation with the score tied. Then Celtics won in overtime, with Bob Cousy famously dribbling away the final seconds as the Lakers couldn't steal the ball from him. This may have been Bill Russell's best performance in an NBA Finals game, getting 30 points and 40 rebounds in the deciding Game 7. - 2016 Cavaliers- Warriors Finals certainly should be higher than #9. First time a team came back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals. And the team which had the all-time best regular season record in history actually lost. - What you missed: 1. 1957 NBA Finals between the then St. Louis Hawks and the Boston Celtics in what was Bill Russell's rookie year. There were two games which went to double OT, including the deciding Game 7, won by the Celtics by two points. This set the tone for Russell's career of winning title after title. THIS MAY BE THE GREATEST NBA FINALS EVER. 2. 1974 Celtics-Bucks. This series also went to Game 7 and though Kareem was great, Celtic legend John Havlicek was even better. 5 of the 7 games (including the last 3) were won by the road team! Something almost unheard of then. Game 6 in Boston featured a scoring duel between Havlicek and Jabbar, who won the game with a skyhook with seconds left, in double overtime. Then Boston regrouped and beat the Bucks in Milwaukee in the deciding Game 7, in what was to be Oscar Robertson's final game. 3. Certainly we should have included any of the 1997 or 1998 Finals between the Chicago Bulls and the Utah Jazz. The 1997 series was particularly tremendous, with MJ winning Game 1 on buzzer beater, scoring 38 with the flu in Game 5, and Steve Kerr making his famous winning shot in the clinching Game 6. Utah also had a great performance by Karl Malone in Game 3 and in Game 4. John Stockton made his famous court-to-court pass over MJ's flailing arms to Karl Malone for the winning basket as the Jazz tied the series at 2-2. Of course, the 1998 series featured the famous last game of Jordan in a Chicago uniform, with his play in the final 40 seconds leading the Bulls to the win from a 3-point deficit. THANKS!
Much truth about 1994. That series could have gone ether way. One shot less by Sam Cassel and one shot more by John Starks would have changed the series.
How is 2013 heat spurs only did anyone see game six, the missed free throw by kahwi, the shot to go into ot, and where Lebron James had one of the best game of his life
I think you should've replaced the 1993 Bulls-Suns NBA Finals with another Jordan Finals, the 1998 NBA Finals Bulls-Jazz. I think if your going to pick a Jordan NBA Finals on the list it has to be the 1998 NBA Finals between the Bulls and Jazz with Jordan's GW being his last shot as a Bull.
2008 Celtics-lakers rivalry is renewed, 2009 kobe wins his first without Shaq, 2004 underdog pistons win without a superstar, 1998 Michael Jordan's last games as a bull,

Man.... In about 10 years we'll say the 2016 finals was one of the best ever, number 9? That's just wrong...
NorGamer the first 6 games were blowouts. game 7 was the only one that was entertaining.
NorGamer 2013 finals is better than 2016 come on Ray Allen made a 3 pointer to force overtime in game 6 that was an iconic moment and it feature 6 future hall of famers with great coaches
Nathaniel Levesque Fair enough, but a 3-1 comeback against a team with the best season record of all time deserves more than a 9th place
NorGamer No, I think the 2011 Mavs series win was the best ever
Michael Jordan yeah 2013 should be way higher
2016 was the best for multiple reasons... It was a test for lebrons legacy, everyone thought it was going to be impossible for him to come back from 3-1. The way they destroyed golden state the last three games was legendary considering it was a rematch from last year, first 73-9 team, and first unamimous mvp vs the kings legacy in bringing a championship to a city that hasn't won in half a century
Grant agree 100%
but Draymond was suspended for game 5 and Bogut was injured for games 6 and 7 + it was KYRIE with the game winning 3
Trx 1136 actually, LeBron was the last person to score and prevent a possible game tying shot. But nice try

Pleasantly surprised you included the 1994 NBA Finals Rockets v. Knicks. Probably one of the most underrated Finals series.

Mr Buckets yes that game 6 shot is the second best sports play/moment I have seen in my lifetime. The first is the Pats comeback.
2016 finals should've been first
Anthony Bawden There was only one game and was game 7, all the other games were blowouts it was boring.
You gotta think about the story behind it
I think it should've at least gotten 6th place
Facts that 2016 finals I would never forget period and plus that game 7 is classic
It was rigged asf
1. 2013 (Heat-Spurs I) (Jesus Shuttlesworth for the win)
2. 2010 (Lakers-Celtics II Kobe era) (Another good back and forth match up)
3. 1994 (Rockets-Knicks) (Another good back and forth match up)
4. 1998(Jazz-Bulls) (Good performance on both teams, but black jesus has spoke at the end with the shot)
5. 2005 (Spurs-Pistons)(This finals is more underrated could of easily been back-to back titles for the pistons)
6. 1985 (Lakers-Celtics II) (Lakers finally beating the celtics in the finals)
7. 1988 (Pistons-Lakers I) (Issiah Thomas' performance with one ankle)
8. 2004 (Pistons-Lakers III)(Pistons team shows that chemistry matters at the end of the day without an all-star)
9. 1984 (Celtics-Lakers I) (Bird finally beating Magic in the playoffs)
10.2016 (Warriors-Cavaliers II) (Lebron James showed his dominance on a 73-9 team with a 1-3 deficit comeback)
