He did such a good job of showing how disgusted by the prospect of this woman being lumped in with what he's doing on his show. You could see that he wanted to jab that pen into her for saying that.

I miss this wonderful show... It was damn smart and also great about the relationship between the characters (Will & Mac forever !! But Don & Sloane were so great & funny too).

It's clips like these that realize what I've been missing from HBO. I originally got it for the Sopranos and Game of Thrones, but now I can add another show from this excellent channel to my watch list.
I feel like after every time Will says something I need to say Amen. The Newsroom is on fire Emmy coming their way for sure.
Great scene, even if I can't remember the full context. It has the same vibe as Sloan interviewing the ACNgage guy ( s3e05)

and TMZ is owned by Time Warner, which owns CNN, and unfortunately CNN is nothing like ACN. Ironically, Time Warner also owns HBO :)

She actually rethinks her career ethics and gives Will and McKenzie a heads up about very damaging evidence she has against them, and holds off writing about as long as she can. She later destroys said evidence after the scoop is thrown out so it can never be used again.

Leona tolerated ACN losing money, because she thought that they were doing the right thing. If ACN turned into the Will McAvoy revenge hour, his ass would be gone.
@@alexh8613 He might go down, but not right away and with his wits, intelligence, charisma and stellar news crew, he will dragged that blond woman with him to hell and then some before the end of him. We are talking about a first-list news anchor deciding to focus only and only on one person and to continuously bash her, her reputation, professionalism, basically every aspect of her, if I'm the woman, I would not consider them as empty threats.
