Hey man, great tutorial, I have a question on the Top Clear coat. Are you using plasti dip clear coat or a lacquer clear coat? If I use a lacquer clear coat, can I still remove the plasti dip?
the jeffster of awesomeness lacquer clear coat will give you better results on the looks but I wouldn't recommend it on Plastidip. This is because it hardens and it takes away the rubber properties of the dip preventing you from peeling it all off. You will have to use a chemical like a paint thinner to remove it. Glosifier allows for you to completely peel it if you have enough thick coats. If it's hard you can spray some Goo Gone on the wheels and let it sit for about 20 minutes, spray them down with another layer of Goo Gone and let it sit for 5 minutes and it will come back up. I'm doing this project again because after 2 years one of my wheels is beginning to peel bad and Plastidip looks better starting over versus patching it up.
MrPlasm0 thanks! You don’t have to mask your lug nuts. You can peel the dip off after if you don’t want those dipped. Valve stem definitely needs to be masked if you don’t have caps for it. Plasti dipped will most likely need to be touched up when you get tire changes, not when you just take the wheels off car.
@@ManpackedPOV you do a light dusting coat #1 and continue the more coats the better. as for drying the warmer the temp the faster it dries so if your in Florida summer 10 mins or so between coats sould be fine

@@SeanDoll ....... ain't that a bitch.....I thought you'd get loads of work to keep you busy?.... maybe make you rich.
good vid man! thank you
If i will do my rims glossy should i get aresol black or black matte.
David King there’s just one black from plasti Dip just get the regular one
can yu still smell the paint with the mask on
Is glossifier the same as clear coat?
Greg K it makes the dip shiny aswell as protect it, it is clear
I was hoping now that you made a new video... you would have masked off the surrounding areas such as the bumper, fender/quarter panel, door, etc... PlastiDip is a pain in the ass when you spray outside. Even with mild breeze, you will wind up with "overspray" (little specks of paint that blew around) and then you gotta sit there with claybar and let it pull out all the bits of vinyl out of your car's paint...
Please include info on the products you use👍🏽
lol... he used plastidip. the black one and the glossifier.
Where did you buy the spray
Lol, you know that thumb is tired as fuck after this
