I personally own a Springfield Armory Echelon non-comp!! I absolutely love it!!! Me personally I am not going to buy another 600 Echelon just for the comp!! Great video!!!
Lately the development of firearms makes me so excited for cz. I'm a massive cz fan and i like a lot of the things Springfield (hs produkt) and s&w are doing. In the next year or so we will probably have a new line of cz, and i want to see what cz brings to the market.
I really like the SA XDM Elite OSP line. This new line looks very nice. I did notice this week that SA has offered the non comp’d version with a manual safety option. That was what I have been waiting for. Two more to go… bring us a compact version w/ comp. and manual safety and I’m in. I am not looking for another full size 9 mm.
I loved the Echelon when I had mine, it was a huge upgrade over the XDM I hade before that. If Springfield offered a Comp with the manual safety and in OD Green I’d jump all over it. 👍🏻
💯🔥 Love the Echelon I shot well and it feels awesome for me. Wish they made it a micro or even a subcompact. Hellcat is great but feels like a 2x4 for me just doesn’t feel as good in my hand like the shield plus or this Echelon!
The sights are a bit different than others. The key is to put the target on top of the front dot; don't cover the target with the dot. I have the non-comp version with an aftermarket comp. I haven't actually seen this factory comped version myself in person. Kinda sexxxy tho
These would probably be good for anyone needing a firearm and recoil sensitive cause in 9mm and with that huge comp this thing is prolly a dream to shoot.
That has to be a dream to shoot Those ledges with the comp give a lot of control over muzzle rise. The p80 frames (RIP) offered a version of that they called gas pedals
Would be a nice video if you compare it to the sig sauer fuse! Also I notice you have many firearms with upgrades I’m not sure if u have an up to date video showing which websites you use to purchase upgrades for your firearms
If you already own an echelon it would probably be a better option to get the threaded barrel and a aftermarket comp but I will say this the echelon and m&p 2.0 are the only guns I’ve ever considered and most likely will have doubles of if I just love my echelon so damn much and I love the smith too just need the full size haha
That's how it was when I got the og went n brought a gene5 g17 then a week later echelon came out I sold that mf 😅 and got the echelon 48mos got sold for a hellcat pro went in since I had a running prodigy I had faith in Springfield and it was like sending my glocks off for custom work
I just added the Echelon to my SA stable ( have the XDM Elite 3.8 and EMP 3”). The Echelon is great except for the takedown lever. Almost impossible to move, takes tremendous effort. Great review. Different content is welcome.
Hey SPN! I know this isn’t directly related to the video, but I’m going to get a Springfield armory hellcat and I was wondering, what finish is the best? In terms of wear, protection from rust or corrosion, elements like rain and snow, etc. in these respects, should I get a black, stainless, or fde hellcat??
I hate that they are calling a ported slide and barrel job a compensator. Compensators thread onto a threaded barrel and are tightened with a set screw or they self index.
The 17c was flatter between me and 3 other shooters, the echelon comp shoots great, but that billet slide has more reciprocating mass than a Glock 17c and has more muzzle flip. Great gun but factory ported Glock still out shot it. Also there's a soft spot on the frame of the echelon where when pressed with a firm grip you lose audible and tactile reset of trigger. And all that BS in the comments about blinding you at night, it doesn't, I regularly go night shooting with ported guns.
I picked up a non-comp model the other day and I cannot find a good OWB holster for this gun not even on Safariland if someone who has one knows where to look that would be super helpful
Bro-does it shoot like a hell cat. I’ve never shot an echelon ? I was looking at the S & W comp pistol 🔫. Sounds like you would go with the echelon comp over the S & W comp, is that right ?! 👊
Very cool slide on this one. I don’t like the grip though it’s just not for me. You know what’s funny is my girlfriend has small hands and she likes this firearm. Shot lights out too so I’m impressed.
It’s a massive full sized duty gun. Unless you are LE or military good luck carrying this “concealed”! They need to start dropping different sized grips and magazines.
Since it's a modular system like with the Sig 365's fcu, then don't you expect Springfield to do the same as Sig and release different variations, slides, grip modules, etc etc for it?
@@copper178yeah but is been like a year and all they’ve released are FDE and OD frames, if you call them up they refuse to sell you an individual slide assembly, and their support for the XD series wasn’t so great.
I’m curious to see if it really shoots flatter than the non comp version? At 240 pounds and a pistol shooter since 1991 for a living I can split fast with any 9mm . Want to see a head to head…
I'm on the fence between the echelon and the m&p 2.0 carry comp. Now Icirus make a pretty sweet metal frame for the echelon I just can't make up my mind think I may just get the polymer m&p then save up and get the echelon next
I’ve seen the new m&p comp reviews have issues with slide lock with full mags. The echelon has been out with proven durability with properly installed magazines - I have one and it also made 2023’s handgun of the year.
Glock relies on companies to provide aftermarket products. Glock produces a firearm that is known for their reliability. So if any issues were to occur, it's the aftermarket upgrade at fault.
This is why Glock is at the top of the throne. Tired of the comparisons every gun company trying to compete with the Glock obviously it's a reason why.
I know how much you Love the "GRIP ZONE" , you gotta check out the new XD9 4inch Mod. "3" new upgrades and for 300$ new, doesn't sound bad. Check it out.
I have over 300 handguns only one with a comp the hellcat pro comp . I noticed a marginal difference between that and my hellcat . With the echelon a have a couple of those it shoots so flat and virtually no recoil the comp is just a fad . Won’t be buying any more comps hope every gun company’s does not keep this trend up
Check out the best gun safes here: steelheadoutdoors.com/?sld=spnfirearms respect and thank you!
I personally own a Springfield Armory Echelon non-comp!! I absolutely love it!!! Me personally I am not going to buy another 600 Echelon just for the comp!! Great video!!!
Same, & agreed RCR on top
Not a pickup I expected you to get. Respect.
I don’t know if he bought it, but yeah I thought that too. If he did that’s cool and kind of surprising
He LOVES Springfield his Hellcat is right there with his Glock.
They sent that to him probably. I’m just jealous 😂
That's a massive comp. Springfield is killing it! Nice review brother keep grinding 💯
Thanks man, I appreciate ya. They really are! Respect
Thanks for a great review. Very informative. I hope your wife and kids are doing well. Family is everything!
SPN, I’m going to have to break from your videos till I get my student loans paid back haha. Respect brother!
You pay those back???
Those sights are my favorite. 👍

Can’t wait till they start making some more grip modules for these.
Might opt for the threaded barrel in case it ends up in my nightstand. Damn comp will blind you in a dark hallway, no thanks.

I like a manual safety too. Why do you like to have one? Most people dislike it
@@dean7673 I just like the extra security of a manual safety tbh.
this and the smith and wesson full size metal comp are the best handguns with intergraded comps out of the box hands down
How you you feel about the PDP vs Echelon? I got a PDP pro compact but the Echelon has really got my eye.
Man wish I would have waited picked up the none comped version. Hopefully Springfield will make slide and barrel available for purchase!
It’s a great day I just had my can delivered to my door today (Griffin Armament Silencers to your door program)
How does this compare to the Canik mete SFT?
💯🔥
Love the Echelon I shot well and it feels awesome for me. Wish they made it a micro or even a subcompact. Hellcat is great but feels like a 2x4 for me just doesn’t feel as good in my hand like the shield plus or this Echelon!
Hopefully they’ll have a compact grip frame available soon.
I would love the comp trend if it was for calibers that actually need it like 10mm/40s&w 357mag etc..
Look up S&W model 19 carry comp
The sights are a bit different than others. The key is to put the target on top of the front dot; don't cover the target with the dot.
I have the non-comp version with an aftermarket comp. I haven't actually seen this factory comped version myself in person. Kinda sexxxy tho
So you prefer the Springfield over the Cz P10c ? Thank you
Would like to see a different grip angle more of a 1911/2011 angle , I believe it would be an improvement
If you’re getting full size handguns now might as well get the Cz p10f and complete the family!❤
I have one on the way. Pumped
These would probably be good for anyone needing a firearm and recoil sensitive cause in 9mm and with that huge comp this thing is prolly a dream to shoot.
F me, i was set on my next purchase being a MP 2.0 carry comp, then Walther came out with PDP pro PMM, and now this thing just came out.....im torn!
I want the ODGreen echelon
NO NO NO NO NO,,,,,,,,MY CREDIT CARD IS CALLING
I’ve been holding off on the echelon hoping they would do something similar. They answered my call ima have to grab one when I can
That has to be a dream to shoot

I got the original Echelon 4 weeks ago with the gear up bundle…wish the comp version was out then 😭
That’s why it was a good deal haha
That's how it was when I got the og went n brought a gene5 g17 then a week later echelon came out I sold that mf 😅 and got the echelon 48mos got sold for a hellcat pro went in since I had a running prodigy I had faith in Springfield and it was like sending my glocks off for custom work
Nice looking pistol!

Who started the barrel comp slide cut? Was that taurus? Lakeline llc? Sig with the axg?
SPN correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t Glock release the some of their models with ports on the barrel and cuts on the slide.
Another good review!
Chassis guns seem to be smooth to rack ..this is sharp looking

As far as I know, there is also option to buy gun with three dot sights from factory.?
Springfield make a compact version with comp and take my money already.
I bought the hell cat pro and echelon before the comp versions were out
I’m jelly
I want a compact version without a comp

Blacksmith Tactical! That’s what I use with other handguns. Code: spn for 10% off. They are legit. Respect
@@spnfirearms Thank you!
No problem! Enjoy and respect
Past compact, like it
The comp is huge, is great, the greatest, you're gonna shoot so flat you're gonna get tired of shooting flat.
Bro-does it shoot like a hell cat. I’ve never shot an echelon ?
I was looking at the S & W comp pistol 🔫. Sounds like you would go with the echelon comp over the S & W comp, is that right ?!
👊
Def doesn’t shoot like a hc. I run both at the range and the echelon is smooth, barely feel any recoil at all on it
In Glocks defense, they do have the C models...but they NEED to come out with gen5 C-models.
Very cool slide on this one. I don’t like the grip though it’s just not for me. You know what’s funny is my girlfriend has small hands and she likes this firearm. Shot lights out too so I’m impressed.

Only thing, it would have been nice to see the fcu taken out. Just to get a visual. You didn't mention that 1 feature.
You have to careful on UA-cam with assembly and disassembly videos.

I think Justin opinion has a video out between the 2.
How does it do with combat loads? 124 fmj plus p?

Question. I pocket carry and find myself flagging people when I sit, especially my kids that love to run up to me. How do you deal with this?
By using a kydex pocket holster and a quality pocket pistol, you have nothing to ever worry about! Respect
All firearms should be married to a quality holster. You should not be carrying without a holster in your pocket.
I use a good jaded holster and when I’m sitting I angle it down.

When is California getting the regular one !!😢😢
I keep waiting, hoping they'll release it with the stainless steel slide.
They better offer the slide and barrel to existing owners of the Echelon!
I don't feel it necessary! Never really felt it kick enough! The hellcats different story it will rack if locked open when slamming a mag in !
Glock, Smith and Wesson and Beretta is at the top of the throne anything else is just a comparison.
What Glock should be
Exactly why I don’t understand why people love Glock so much they spend 5-700$ on the gun just to upgrade it to the echelon 😂 absolute insanity to me
@MoistSmok well glocks are great bucket guns, I have a few buried around the property in 7 gallon buckets😂😂😂
@@dawhiteman7033 lol but not for that price better off getting 2-3 daggers
This is why Glock is at the top of the throne. Tired of the comparisons every gun company trying to compete with the Glock obviously it's a reason why.
@MoistSmok that's why I use a 7 gallon bucket, cause glock ain't da only tool in dem buckets dude!

Opinions on shadow systems?
Very nice
Beat it with the comp fad on a full size gun that does not need it or . How about a 3.5 inch echelon or a slim edc echelon I will 10 of them
Tbh I said Glock should start making they gun comp but then I forgot Glock been doing this years ago with their C models people must’ve forgot
Echelon vs m&p 2.0
🤤
Got my fingers crossed the echelon comp or s&w carry comp come to california, respect 🤘
So Californians might be able to get those 2 you mentioned?
@buddah5107 one could hope...

Why? As long as they have comped and non comped you get choices for everyone.
Nice can't have that in the shity state of ny
Glock 19c came out 20’years ago.
That gun is honestly ugly asf with that comp😂
