This is great context for deciding what I eventually want to work in as a college student. Also cool to see your career move forward and grow. That being said your other non career related videos are also enjoyable.
Thanks so much for your feedback! Happy to hear this video was helpful. And glad to know you’ve been enjoying the other content as well - I hope to keep up the career content but hopefully branch out into other areas I find interesting as well.
You have a great ability to break down the finance field in general, especially the risk management side. could you stick to that but at a macro level and not so specific to your current role? All the best!
I'm a junior at a non-target school and I just got into a risk management internship with a large asset manager for this upcoming summer. I wasn't always going to do risk, but this is what I ended up getting, so now I'm trying to figure out if I want to do this for my career. In any case, are you still doing risk at the hedge fund? Is the pay as good? P.S - I have the same glow up cat :D
Hmmm about as hard as any new skill really - lots of trial and error, frustration, and just a lot of time. But there's no way around hard work sometimes!

May I ask you a thing, how did you get to your great English level?
Born in abroad or ?
Awesome place Aaron. I too have been considering leaving the city. Not sure how much longer i can drink the NYC Kool-aid with these prices.
Thanks! And yeah I drank the Kool aid too until it turned bitter 🤔

Ayy. I'm Namibian. Hope you enjoyed your trip 👌
I most certainly did - one of the most, if not most magnificent place I've ever visited.

Yes, I’m still in a risk role and I’d say it pays about the same as the market rate 😅. Adequate for my current lifestyle at least haha
Maybe do a feature of what your GF does for a living/a day in the life of.
sound like you work at Bridgewater Associates
Not exactly haha
What is the worklife balance like a your hedge fund?
Prolly non existent
For Risk Analyst, he should be working on average 40-50 hours. Depends on the size of the HF though.
Id say 50 hours on average so pretty good balance overall!
Was python hard to learn for you?
