- In this video, I talk about the roughly 4.5 year journey I took from working odd jobs at a college student, since I couldn't get any internships, to becoming a hedge fund analyst. And my hope is that if you're in a similar situation to where I once was, you might be able to pick up some tips and strategies on how you can leverage your current situation and make significant progress in your career goals. Or if you're not and are just curious, I hope this provides some additional context on my career path and where I came from. Regardless, this is just the first leg of what I hope to be a long career so if you're interested in joining me on my journey or in anything else I have to share, then be sure to subscribe!

Thank you! I'm glad I was able to offer an alternative perspective!
Oh my God, "the excruciating pain of working in a warehouse + vision of one day being a PM" seems so much like my story as well. Thanks for sharing your story, it gave me a sense of confidence and motivation that my journey and sacrifices can be rewarding as well. I hope a few months down the line, I can post a similar video as well :)
Facts bro working in a warehouse is like stepping into the hyperbolic time chamber ya whole life will fly by if you gotta plan fr

Absolutely! As time passes, I realize the only regret I have is having not worked harder haha
Aaron, do you have any advice for working professionals looking to make a career change in finance? What career paths would you recommend for those who are currently in a non-finance field?
Really nice and inspiring video !! You mentioned that you self studied finance, how did you do it? Did you follow a certain course or through books?
bro which website do you to do fundamental analysis for stock
I am a finance & economics major and have been looking for internships that are remote where i can gain some experience in finance but I have no idea where to look because everywhere i look and including at my university, there are not many opportunities for people who have no graduated yet. Most internships are for graduates or final year students which i am neither. If anyone has any information that could help me please let me know. 😀🙏

Stay tuned for future videos!
Do you have any idea about pace university's financial risk management program.
Don't have much information besides my own university experience - but I will say risk management coursework is often the most difficult since it deals with financial derivatives.
Did you ever take the SIE and the other corresponding exams?
I haven't had to yet since I don't trade - perhaps in the future though.
@@aaron_yao I figured, thanks!
what was the internship program called
?
I believe it was called EUSA - it was done through my school though.
Hii Sir Do you looking for video editor ? I can help you to save your crucial time throught my editing skills
Not currently looking for one, but I appreciate the offer!
wow visiting Slovakia that was a suprise haha, I am from Slovakia currently woking in backoffice as securities settlement analyst. I would like to move to frontoffice or be data analyst in finance. At the same time I have seconds though if I have what it takes to make it.
You'll always have doubt but success is inevitable if you keep going at it! Also, Slovakia was a beautiful country, and Kosice was a lovely city.
Can we privately chat with you to get more advice?
Currently trying to set up a structure for this - in the meantime, feel free to shoot me a quick email and I'll try my best to answer!
This content is only for a specific group of people, but it's nice 😂 You literally have to be young to do this
What was the programme in london? Can anyone apply?
The program was provided by my college, UCONN, and they partnered with a company called EUSA. Not really sure how applications work outside of a college setting.
❤❤
Yeah but bro its still a bum salary under $150k
Lol
@@aaron_yao big swinging dicks are around $200k to $500k. Real ballers are at $1M plus a year
you need a math degree
The most boring job on earth
why would you go from a useful for society job to a useless for society job?
Are you stupid? Money obviously.
hahahahaha w comment
Just because his job doesn’t improve your life doesn’t mean it’s worthless.
Interesting take - I feel the opposite but there certainly are arguments for both. The finance industry does have many benefits to society, a lot of which are intangible, but nevertheless, keep the world going. As for myself, I believe we should all find the role in society that maximizes our full potential. Certainly an interesting discussion to be had though.
@@sweetwheat5999 haha good point
Yo @aaronyao u could buy a razer ornata v3 since it’s more silent keyboard than the black widow
