Unfortunately, there is a couple games besides cyberpunk, that can use more than like 4 threads.
That God of War experience, oof. I've been testing some V3 Xeons on Starfield recently and all of them go through the same thing. You can get somewhat decent FPS when the camera is still, but as soon as you move everything goes to shit.
Starfield doesn't seem to like being played on anything weaker than like a 12th gen i5 or ryzen 5000 series 6 core. I get CPU related drops to 58fps on my 13th gen i5 13400f in that game I've never known anything like it.
I'm actually just playing through it on an i5 10400f and rtx 3070. It runs great everything on ultra, 1440p.

Or just update timing on RAM and "update bios" with all core boost
Haha yeah modern DX12 games love lots of cores, fools like the good old gamer still push low core count CPUs thinking single threaded is still relevant.
They are not now you really want at least 8 core 16 threads but 16+ is fantastic.

Yes
It's basically game on game specific, but if u like simulation games more cores=playable.
