What is clear to me with your night time video is the X3 is good enough(for me) with nighttime shooting. It's my first 360 and I find its versatility easily outweighs any perceived limitations. Cheers.
Thanks for the video. I've had my x3 for a week and by sheer conincidence I've used it very low light three times. I knew that auto was going to have trouble in low light, plus moving by I dind't know the camera enough to going into manual and see the best results. Now I have a base from which to start.
Great video. I was a little frustrated with what I was getting out of the X3 in auto mode inside or at night. Actually thought my camera was faulty! This made a huge difference.
Thank you so much for the technique, setting up, I'm facing this problem with my Insta360 x3 and this clip made me understand how to shoot VIDEO in low light.
I've been "into" photography and videography since long before you were born, but this 360° vid is brand new to me, and maybe the most fun I've had in a while. I really appreciate these great hints as even though I NEVER use auto in my still photography, I've been almost exclusively in auto mode with the X3. I'll be using a lot more manual now. I do have to disagree a little with your advice to tighten up your muscles to get smoother moving videos. I've found by relaxing my muscles I've been able to move more smoothly. That's what works best for me.
I also prefer to put my muscles into smooth pan mode to be able to have smoothie shots especially when videoing motorcycles and cars . On the other hand , I got the X2 and thinking of upgrading to X3
my only critisism with this channel is I didnt find you sooner! I blame you for about 2 months of absolutely shocking low light footage I have made, only to watch this video and instantly (liteally just say in my room here) can see the MASSIVE quality improvements! DAMN YOU! At least it gives me the excuse to go and take it all again! haha. What a fantastic channel, I have subbed, between you and Best360 you guys rock! I start a channel myself in a few days walking across thailand with this bloody 360! Whenever you guys fancy a holiday, come to thailand and ill show you around dude! - Chris (Bristol)! Gonna recommend this video to a few mates! keep up the great work
Perfect! Short and concise! Just got mine, my first ever ... and I'm not photograph! Your video is a perfect starting point in my opinion! Thanks a bunch!
I should've watched this before I shot a 360 Christmas lights video in Lisbon ah ah Next time I'll try your settings. It really does make a *huge* difference in quality with the Insta360. Thanks so much for yet another great video!! Cheers from Lisbon, Portugal
A good summary with some fine examples. The electronic image stabilisation is chiefly why a faster shutter speed is needed in low light - if there's too much blur it can't keep the image stable and you get those annoying artifacts. Unless, as you indicate, the camera is on a tripod or otherwise in a stable position. The X3 is not alone in this respect - it affects all EIS cameras.
Can you turn off the image stabilization in X3 and use low shutter speed for low light, then perhaps use gimbal to stabilize? If possible, overall the picture quality will be better and image is still stabilized. Or perhaps image stabilization doesn't need to be turned off, and if using gimbal, it can remove those jitter?
I think one useful tip and to sum up the ISO thing: "at night make sure black is black..." This also goes for daytime as well, particularly on snow for the colour temperature (which should of course be white not 'blue-ish'!)
can I share one tips too? the way i mount the camera on my body, is that I first wear a harness with a standard GoPro clip mount in front, then have a converter to convert the GoPro clip mount to the 0.8mm screw, then mount my tripod on the screw, and then finally the camera on the top-end of the tripod. This way you (or more, your body) can hold on to the tripod + camera for a very very long time without getting tired, and the footage will be very stable. And finally, you will need to use one of your hands to hold on to the middle part of your tripod when it is in extension, to further reduce the vibration. hope it helps!
I just wanted to say thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to explain these settings in the situations you have, I found this video very interesting and helpful 👍🏻
Excellent share. I don't know if you checked your video on a computer. The focus of your studio camera seems to be shifting between your eyes and your ears.
Hopefully you will reply in time... After tomorrow I will be diving in a flooded mine, Pitch Black... I will use underwater lights of course... WB 6500? ISO max 400? What recipe you recommend me? 🙏
what about images ? are the same settings good for images ? i want to know what settings are good for taking 360 images in normal home light in doors (tours) other thing. is it possible to make tours with 10 sec 360 videos ?
Lol, literally laughing out loud after just screenshotting every single shot you took, then finally getting to the point where you say, "just screen shot my values." Yup! Way ahead of you! 😆 Thanks for the tips! Hoping to put them to good use on my honeymoon in Bali in 2 weeks!
Thanks for a very useful video. Do you have any thoughts of the difference between using a high iso in camera to give a correctly exposed shot vs using a low iso and boosting the exposure in post?
Deneyimlerinizi merak ediyorum. 🙏🏻
Hi, great video! Can you conform the fps used in these clips please? I think one was shown at 30 but lower would be better in these conditions, perhaps?
Hello, new subscriber here. I export most of my Insta360 videos in 360, not reframed. Is there a way to set up a pivot point? Seems to only roll right and left and not pan.
How well does the Insta360 X3 perform indoors for real estate videos? I'm interested in filming real estate agents and myself conducting a home showing. I would mount the X3 on a selfie stick to record us as we walk around the home. I would think the X3's multi-cam abilities would be great to reframe several angles and create B-roll. I would also attach a Rode Go II mic for audio. How good is the video quality indoors? Thanks :)
Which settings would you set if you were a runner recording in a very low light conditions (sunset o sunrise or even night)? These settings also apply to photo mode?
Hi 360 Guy, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your video. I found it to be entertaining ❤ helpful. I'm a regular viewer of your channel and I always look forward to your new videos.👍 Keep up the great work! Thanks, @mmtkoyes

Really, really, really, this is by far the best video about using the X3 at nighttime. Brilliant, made my day.

@@The360Guy what settings should I use indoor for Christmas morning? I was wondering if using 24fps would be best

@@hlau-hk I've never heard of a 360 camera being used on a gimbal - so there's probably no point in it.
Спасибо большое , долго искал видео где бы объясняли, какие нужны настройки для стоячей камеры.

if your camera lens scrached you have to pay 120 dollaer extra and your camera has to go to hongkong
Good info thank you from Texas
Спасибо за пояснения.
Твои видео при слабом освещении кажутся качественными. Попробую так у себя и надеюсь не разочаруюсь!
Удачи!
Awesome. Thanks!
Hi, I wanted to ask you. What are the best daytime settings in bright sunlight? Do you mention it in any video?
Hi! which are the best settings for the big live concerts at the stadium in the low light condition?

Great Video!! do you have any settings recommendations for shooting (while walking) in indoor settings? like inside a store or a shopping mall?
Excellent share. I don't know if you checked your video on a computer. The focus of your studio camera seems to be shifting between your eyes and your ears.
Great video. Thank you. Have you tried de-noising the video with Handbrake or Topaz Video Enhance AI?
Good tips, good video.
Hi there, just checking do I need to remove the battery from the camera if I’m not a frequent user
Love your video, do you know which gimble is good for insta360 X3?

question for you.. do you switch on the HDR for daylight shooting?
Cool !!!*
my very first shooting was in forest and it was a mixed, so probably would go manual.

Is there any way you can store these settings in the camera? I can't find a way of doing it?
Nice video. At single lense mode and using manual settitings can it be comparable with dji action 3 or even gopro 11?
Probably not the Hero 11 as that has some powerful features. May do a comparison soon though :)
what sharpness setting do you use?
What about sharpness
Would you go with a medium?
Wellsaid sir😊watching from the🇵🇭
What are the best settings for action mode on single lens? Thanks
The wide angle field of views
Does the x3 offer a max iso setting where you can allow the camera to auto select iso but it won't go beyond the max setting.
can i use this settings with insta 360 one rs ??
Your a dude!
Thanks man

What is the file size if you shoot 5.7K for 1 hour?
How did you managed the led/light flicker? Insta360 got a setting for that?
You mean, to avoid the flicker? Just record at the correct FPS: 25 (or 50) for UK/Europe and 30 (or 60) for USA. Just check PAL vs NTSC 😉
@@andres2392 Wow, thank you... God Bless!

Hello
Can you do this with a z1 ?
Yes but it is too complicated. Even z1 does not have stabilization
No mono automático estava melhor, você mexeu e ficou pior 😂
It's hard to record Christmas lights, there's always someone in the way.
