  • Over the past year many people have asked if we would replace the #windshield in our classic #mopar race car, the Junkyard Jet.
Well, we did, and managed to make a little #howto video out of it too.
Hope this qualifies as educational entertainment.

@@DaddysMoneyGarage just did you a Super Solid and clipped the Nitrous Express part out and sent it to my Bro JimmyDale who has a channel and works for NX. I'm a moderator for his channel. Hope something comes of it. Keep Grindin Boys 😎🏁🤘🇺🇲

Great video! I am currently replacing the front and rear windshield seal on my 73 Jag and this was helpful. Not exactly the same, but it definitely got me going in the right direction.

Well, well; just what one needed. If I can do it, there is a saving of $500 au, as that is the install price, with everything else supplied. The local wiz, said pay someone but we removed them without destruction. During the great non production era, just not long ago; Me ordered the new rubbers for a pickup A body or ute{ 1976 VJ ute }. One year later they sent two sets, that being the time to get back into the swing of things.

Good to know but our Valiant doesn't have a broken windshield. The Studebaker has no glass and the seals look about the same, so we'll be coming back to watch this again. Thanks!

As I have recently learned, most windshield shops won't touch old vehicles past mid 80's or sometimes even later 80's depending on how they feel. They mostly site rust on the windshield frame as why, if there is rust they send to a body shop for repair, warranty and safety, and they don't usually have techs that know how to work on the old stuff. Some moldings, the clips lay under the glue, and they can't get those clips etc...

Hey, do you think you might do a pre-1965 full size Mopar (forward look / wrap around) windshield? Dodge 880, Newport/300/New Yorker etc back to about 1957. There are simply zero videos on these. So many dudes are scared of them...

Unfortunately I do not have access to a Forward Look Mopar, but if the seal style is the same as the Jet's, then the process is the same.

Windshields are harder to get out, and then they always leak

Without a scoop on that bonnet your losing power as its drawing the air up and not forcing it down we’re it belongs . Your engine works like an air pump .💯👍🏻get her done or be left behind 🙀.
