AT this time, Cream was considered a Super Group, of top musicians. Eric Clapton on guitar, Ginger Baker on drums (considered best in world at this time). They were from Britian. Psychodelic rock. At concerts, people started holding up Huge signs, saying, Clapton is God!
I love how you found this humorous but still appreciated it... That's okay, keep it real! As a 56 year old retired drummer this song is very important and iconic but I get how you take it and you don't have to "love" every song you review or apologize for it... Just be authentic and respectful (as you do) and be yourselves.. we get it ❤
This song was inspired by Jimi Hendrix! You can hear Eric Clapton, the guitarist, does some very Jimi-like guitar in parts of it. Jimi actually came to the studio while they were recording this song & he complimented it. They told him to his face that he was the inspiration for the song! Clapton was onstage with Jimi the night in 1966, in a London music club, in front of many other big rockers, when Jimi changed music forever. Jimi's playing blew Clapton's mind & shook him & all the other guitarists who saw him. They all had to think about how to move forward with their music, now that Jimi had shown what could be done with guitar. Great reaction, guys!
You guys experience the song the way YOU WANT. But don’t play it up for us. Respect the song, but experience it the way you want. People that don’t like pausing can just listen to the goddam song at home.
I enjoy the sincere and fun reactions. Keep it up, gentlemen. I’m 55 and grew up with this music. Some of us old geezers can get a bit testy about what is said/not already known. Me? No worries. Glad y’all seem to be enjoying it in a real way.
And I’m sure no ganga or other party favors are involved in the making of these reaction videos. Wink. Wink. Like I wasn’t very often off my face listening back in the day too.
I subbed yesterday...today this video came up on my homepage as a survey asking my opinion of it. Yall got 5 stars. But I am telling you this because it might be helpful to know your video here has made the YT survey algorithm.
Seriously, how many great English bands are there?!🤘👏The Beatles, The Prodigy, The Who, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, The Animals, The Rolling Stones, Joy Division, Oasis, The Kinks, Radiohead, Roxy music, The Cure, T-Rex, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Genesis, Yes, Judas Priest, Dire Straits, King Crimson, Electric Light Orchestra(ELO), New Order, Depeche Mode, and The Sweet, and my favourite in the mighty Iron Maiden, Just to name a few🤘
You have this banging aroung any oldhead they will be tempted to buy you a beer I shit you not. My dad is 62 and this is what they jammed back in their days, Just straight bangers.
Shea Stadium either 1989 or 1990, he opened up with this song. i was on the second tier and I thought it was going to fucking crash, breakoff. i never surrendered my life to music in the moment like that moment....
From my own perspective, the reason I've been getting into these guys is because of their authenticity. If they try to act like you want them to act, I don't think I'll like it as much. I crave authentic reactions more than I crave a formula. I say be yourself, guys!
This reminds me of that old test where you personally describe 4 things: 1) your favorite color, 2) your favorite animal, 3) what it's like to be in your favorite recreational body of water, boat, or water park, 4) what it's like to be in a completely white, brightly-lit room ***DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING until you have written down your answers Your descriptions of the first 4 things will correlate to these 4 things: 1) how you want to be perceived by others, 2) the people you are attracted to, or want to be around, 3) how you feel about sex, 4) how you feel about death Perhaps this song was intended as a lyrical Rorschach test -- where the lyricist wanted to throw a boatload of symbolism into a song, just to see how many ways the listeners would interpret it. It would be a brilliant prank on the audience, by getting people to reveal their innermost secrets in how they perceive the song.
Guys, Cream was a monster that blew the doors off of music in America. Eric Clapton was the only guitarist in the world who could compare to Jimi Hendrix at the time. If you wanna hear what these guys could do. Check out "Spoonful" from the album "Wheels of Fire" - It's a live version without video. Even today almost 60 years later, it's hard to believe 3 guys could be this good. It will leave your chin on your chest.
Yes, British. Eric Clapton is the guitarist, largely of a blues background. Every player is a product of their environs, I've heard Eric's style described as the 'King's English' version of the Blues. Not so much for a reaction, but after a little more listening, Cream's 2005 live video performances from Royal Albert Hall of Crossroads, and We're going wrong (the alternate take version).
These guys are goats of their instruments. The dude on guitar is the original guitarist for the band that became led Zeppelin. The drummer imo is greatest ever. This music was in the evolution that eventually became heavy metal. These guys are fucking pros.
@jamesmcnaughton6884 I meant he was one of the original guitarists of the yardbirds. Not the first, the last. But I didn't want to overcomplicate it. I'm aware that Clapton was the first Yardbirds guitarist.
Check out Pink FLOYD,The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here, youll be sitting there with your mouth open in pure disbelief at what you just heard
They were only together like 3 years! Send groups like LED zepp, black sabbath, Rush...... Each individual pushed the group further and further together; they pushed excellence out of each other. Then there's cream;; who couldnt get away from their own egos! Sad but true. Kind of like Mustaine / Metallica At least we got Megadeth out of that though!
58 years fresh - I got a suggestion for you guys, BOSTON has what I consider the best DEBUT album ever. I challenge you to find one bad song on the album just pick a random one but FOREPLAY/LONGTIME is a mind bender. Hang on tight!! BTW the UFO's on the cover are guitars upside down and backwards.
Grats on 2k. The shades look cool and all, but the whole point for the viewer is to watch your face react, and the glasses block your eyes. Just a little tip.
@@R-EActsTV Right on man. Might try some fades or something lighter. I don't want to tell you your business or anything; just passing a tip along. I really dug what you guys have done so far. It was a fun hang.
I'm sorry but you guys are hurting yourselves on people wanting to watch you, they want your reaction not to watch you laughing and stopping the song every 5 seconds! I'll be watching other reactors in the future!
You can live for a billion years an you'll never be able to beat 1970s music.. you can't, it's impossible.. late 60s great also, but you can't beat the 70s

Let's not forget Jack Bruce, bass God.
This came out just before I entered junior high. It still impresses me to this day, and I'm 67. Cream rocks.

Just a reminder…3 guys. Three guys in that band and just put that in your head. A worthwhile rabbit hole.
1968, I was 14…….this album was epic❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
15.
Their song Sunshine of Your Love will ruin you. The drummer, Ginger Baker, rules.

I’m loving you guys. I’m going down the rabbit hole watching you react to awesome music I grew up with.
That was a hella funny reaction, that just cheered me up; and it's a good song; haha.
Not only is that part epic every time, it's actual musical history lol. You two are hilarious keep it up guy's.

Don't be those reaction guys that giggle through the whole song and stop it fifteen times. Those are the people with 200 likes.
how about they do what they want on their own channel friendo
@@maxwellstubbs2510 I know these guys are smart enough to take that advice.

Lads.... - Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles
Psychedelia at its finest - made in 1966 and still sounds as if its from tomorrow.
I loved “Politician” by Cream. Still do!

Just remember why they call it Psychedelic Rock - They were taking a lot of psychedelics.
The beat in this is relentless.
Eric Clapton is timeless.

The guitarist is Eric Clapton ( never a member of Zeppelin)….you have him confused with Jimmy Page
