This is the first video I've uploaded since hitting 1000 subscribers, so I'd like to give a BIG THANK YOU and FRIENDLY HELLO to all the new and returning folks who enjoy my content!
I've really been enjoying your painting and Gamma Wolves centric vidoes. It's really inspiring to see your process, and has helped me try to develop a unique style of my own. Thank you.
I started building gunpla about a year ago, and pretty quickly wanted to get into painting, so I'm new at both building and painting. While I feel really far away from you, I really enjoy watching your videos. They're fun, give me ideas for some things to try down the line when I've practiced and painted more, and you really show a great attitude to have while building and painting. I'm looking forward to the future videos, thanks for being an inspiration to continue into the hobby.
This Channel is such a hidden gem! Love this style of painting. I had a real bad case of building fatigue, but now I think I’ll start working on my backlog again.
You could always try pinning the feet of the model into the base with paper clips or a thick steel wire! That is the most stable way to keep a model on the base that big
Ooh, yay! I love that you showed all the forms (even if I'm a basic bitch and 4th is my favorite). OH MY GOD the little tiny Mika and Orga are just adorable. I'm tempted to buy those kits just for them alone. 😍😅 But man, the final result is so good! I always though Barbie was a sexy MS, but dayum, that red takes it to another level. Great vid! 😁 - Jessy
That was a cute moment with Mika and Orga~ Loving your Model Mayhem style! But what did you say about RX-78-2?!?! *Triggered* Awesome job you did, was really insightful on your process and looking forward to your next project!
Loved this one; another great backpack alternative is HG G-Bouncer (Gundam AGE); looks kinda similar to the Vidar's, but there are some extra flaps for a more 3D feel!
I own Barbatos and I want to get the Expansion pack and ALSO waiting of MG Bael and other Gundam frames to make my Barbatos into the Gundam Frame Strike Gundam
Wow! Your amazing work inspired me brush paint a couple of old (1988) gunpla I have in my stash. Being so old, the kits details are mostly molded in place and their size makes masking for airbrushing a titanic efort not ensuring a good result. Hand brushing seems the most logical (and fun) way to paint them! Thanks for the inspiration!
Absolutely gorgeous through-and-through. And I LOVE the way you do your bases. Can't wait to see more! Also...PLEASE paint Mika and Orga! And if you have spare cockpit-sitting pilots, I found they fit in the mobile worker, so you could even give a nice touch-up to make something wonderful ^_^
I want to see Epyon done in the stile of plague marines. Especially with added tidbits of gore, puss, rot, and mechanical bio tech thingies falling off epyon.
Awesome use of miniature painting technique. What is the difference between using glaze medium and say flow improver? Also do you know any examples of NMM on gunpla?
because of this video I tried doing glowing axe and sword for one my Wraithguard but instead of watching one of you're videos or looking it up, I just did it from memory, sadly it's not glowing, but It does look nice so I'm happy I tired, and I want to thank you for inspiring me X3
I'm really liking the idea to glue down a pose and paint gundams up like you do. I've been testing a bit, but i find that any polycap connections dont take either plastic cement or cyanoacrylate superglue. Some models (quite a lot actually) have only polycap connections between the feet and ankles. How did you deal with these situations? I still need to test which paints stick to polycap material. That rubbery stuff is nightmare material for modelling..😅
yeah polycaps are annoying like that, I've only ever used superglue, and it usually needs twice the amount as other pieces lol; painting usually isn't an issue because they're typically hidden from view and have enough primer/topcoat
Brooo, you need to upgrade your nippers! If you want a good upgrade on the cheap I would recommend the Stedi 4.7 inch nippers (~$17) or the VRC Hobbies 115mm plastic pliers (~$12) from Amazon.
This pack is seriously one of the best values Bandai has ever given us. My MG Barbatos was the most fun I've had so far. I went way too autistic on the inner frame detailing when I first got it, but all these form changes gave me a payoff when switching up the build. On another note, I really wanna look into gamma wolves. I know it's model agnostic, but is there a scale that makes more sense? HG is the obvious choice financially, but what looks right on the table in your experience?
That makes sense! I'm not super hung up on it, but for my taste I wouldn't wanna vary too wildly on the table from what else is being played for immersion sake, for whatever that's worth lol. That being said, when you had them in the lineup they looked great together. I should probably just look into the game instead of thinking about it.
Yes I've gone through many pots of nuln oil, it doesnt run into the recesses as well as the tamiya stuff, but it can still work! (Also the tamiya liner is enamel based)
Hey Question, I just got into Gunpla and was wondering whats a good pair of Hobby nippers to grab? or will any work? I got the HGUC RX-78-2 gundam, Ms-06S Chars Zaku II and the barbatos HG and want to get into it.
IIRC this is a 130mm games workshop base with plasticard on top; my LGS sells them individually at various sizes. The knight bases are oval, not sure what exact size, overall smaller than this though
There is no 'best paint' so get what your local hobby store recommends. Without an airbrush you can look into painting with spray cans, or gundam markers can work for some details
This is the first video I've uploaded since hitting 1000 subscribers, so I'd like to give a BIG THANK YOU and FRIENDLY HELLO to all the new and returning folks who enjoy my content!
I was actually planning to paint one of my Silver bullet suppresors in that style.
@@nofuxgivens2797 do it!
@@MMMayhem I gotta knock out these varghulfs and Zombie Dragon then its next
@@MMMayhem where can I get info for those rules again?
Just look up Gamma Wolves by Ash Barker (aka guerrilla miniature games)
Man,that's how demon should be,your works make it MUCH menacing, more badass,it feels like it was dragged from hell, and still living!
Damn that Heavyarms lookin' like fire!
What! The paint style is so dope! I gotta keep practicing my hand painting. So when you gonna show some of these tabletop matches? 👀
Tabletop games are so hard to make YT videos for XD, public health restrictions aren't quite at the point to allow gaming in my area yet...
@@MMMayhem Awh, well hopefully we can see some tutorials or short vids on how to set up our own mecha game board 😈
I've really been enjoying your painting and Gamma Wolves centric vidoes. It's really inspiring to see your process, and has helped me try to develop a unique style of my own. Thank you.
That's great to hear, glad you're enjoying the videos!
My husband and I stumbled upon your videos yesterday and we're in LOVE with your style for these figures.
Dude you killed it! I’m really happy about what you did with the paint job
That red looks unbelievably good.
really nice job...and its fun watching you fine-tune the technique on these kits.
Thanks, it's been fun developing my technique!
Your work's astounding! It's criminal that you've got so little subs.
(Fellow Barbie simp here too)
glad to have a fellow simp along for the ride
Simpatos
Awesome vid. Love your paint style & sense of humor. Plus I’m learning a lot. 👍

That's great to hear, thank you! I'm always learning how to improve my painting and building, and I'm glad I can inspire you to do the same!
This Channel is such a hidden gem! Love this style of painting. I had a real bad case of building fatigue, but now I think I’ll start working on my backlog again.
This paint job looks fricken awesome! the colors are amazing, and the style of painting looks almost comic book in nature, it's super cool!
Thanks Captain!
Congratulations on the 1k sub dude!!! Great work on the barbatos 💪💪 that RX-78-2 pew pew never gonna get a hit on your Barbie 😂
Thanks! No disrespect to grandaddy gundam, but maybe he should retire ha ha

Hi there. Really glad you can join me today. For the highlights on the backpack we're gonna use some titanium huwhite.
Me seeing the backpack painted at first:
"Its messy... "
When its finished:
"Its fuckin glowing!"
Just found you and bro your work is awesome! It really inspires me to try painting my models even though I just started
Your amazing! Thank you so much for sharing! Great job

Very awesome, thanks for showing the process. Working on a Zeon crew for Gamma Wolves too, useful to see how you did it!
I own Barbatos and I want to get the Expansion pack and ALSO waiting of MG Bael and other Gundam frames to make my Barbatos into the Gundam Frame Strike Gundam
Another awesome content. Well worth every minutes.

Your love for Barbatos is like mine for Exia and 00. I may have to paint my HG Exia and see what I can do
Yes you should!
As always a great a very well crafted video
Thanks
Currently imagining this with the Hazel's booster shield backpack
Great job and I love your philosophy

That is one awesome barbatos. Plenty of inspiration for when I get around to building my barby mg kit.
Barbatos do be looking a little bit like the hive from destiny.
Looks incredible! Can't wait to see more!
I personally simp for the HG Leo kit
Barbatos stomped that like button.
What size bases are you using?
130mm and 100mm
Awsome, awsome video. But, it just enforces the need for a true Gundam table top game. Keep up the great work sir
Mini painting style looks extra dope on gunpla :)
Awesome use of miniature painting technique. What is the difference between using glaze medium and say flow improver? Also do you know any examples of NMM on gunpla?
not sure about the flow improver... Check out Don Suratos for NMM!

Why does he almost sound like mr.popo from dbz abridged when he talks a little slower 😂
Love the videos. Gives me a ton of inspiration for my modelss
Love your paint style :). The Vallejo primer line is a bit tricky. If you can, try the mr surfacer line as primer next time :).
fellow barbatos simp here, good one bro
You never disappoint with your unique builds man! 🙂
I'm a simp of barbatos and all of setsuna's suits, and I sacrifice my vidar too😭
High Heels? You mean Battle Stompers?

Gunpla asides, I'm surprised to hear the Ace Online ost at the end. Overall, great color scheme and separation!
Glad to have found the content. I’m curious was that an orga figure? If so which kit was that?!?
Thanks for watching! The Orga figure came with the P-Bandai MG Barbatos expansion and is meant to go with the Mikazuki that comes with MG Barbatos ;)
Fucking great ! 👍
Another masterpiece!!! WOW!!!
thanks dude, couldn't have made it here without you ;)
Well shit, I thought the armor was a semi transparent red.
Paint skills: Lv 100
Bruh... 🤩🤩🤩
Man now I wanna learn how to do custom painting, what would you suggest I do to get started with customs
start small with stuff like gundam markers, learn one new thing at a time, and don't try to do too many customizations on one project!
@@MMMayhem Thank you, I can’t wait to start learning

I use MG for heavy frames and HG for medium frames, looks a little jank, but I like it that way I guess, I don't care that much about scale...
That makes sense! I'm not super hung up on it, but for my taste I wouldn't wanna vary too wildly on the table from what else is being played for immersion sake, for whatever that's worth lol. That being said, when you had them in the lineup they looked great together.

Ever use Nuln Oil - Citadel for panel lines?
Yes I've gone through many pots of nuln oil, it doesnt run into the recesses as well as the tamiya stuff, but it can still work! (Also the tamiya liner is enamel based)
Hey Question, I just got into Gunpla and was wondering whats a good pair of Hobby nippers to grab? or will any work? I got the HGUC RX-78-2 gundam, Ms-06S Chars Zaku II and the barbatos HG and want to get into it.

Maybe I missed it, but what size base are you using for them? Is it the base that comes with a GW knight or a smaller one?
IIRC this is a 130mm games workshop base with plasticard on top; my LGS sells them individually at various sizes. The knight bases are oval, not sure what exact size, overall smaller than this though
I have a question about painting gundam, what is the best paint to get? I can’t afford a airbrush
There is no 'best paint' so get what your local hobby store recommends. Without an airbrush you can look into painting with spray cans, or gundam markers can work for some details
