As soon as the chap starts playing, surely all sorts of echo, reverb or whatever has been added.
^ Yeah, I wish that these guys would stop doing stuff like this. Sure, it's showy; but if you're looking to buy one of these, and you just want to hear the instrument plainly, then it ultimately means that the video loses its value and usefulness.
I actually bought one of these from Amazon
Good luck =)
I just ordered a Clariphone from Sans Luthier. Can't wait to get my hands on it.❤️ Hälsningar från Finland!😄
Hope you enjoy it! 😊
Hur går det?
hello very good artist, where can I find and buy this beautiful instrument? Is it in B flat? I can't find it on the internet. Thank you very much
What kind of wood is?
Is it easy to learn? So beatiful sound!!!!
I am not sure but I think I chose Olive Wood. No it's very hard to learn proper embouchure on these, it's not like blowing air like a flute, it's a reed instrument like a clarinet or saxophone...but actually harder since it's smaller and the intonation is much trickier. But I LOVE the sound so it's worth all the practice time. =)
Nice sound and interesting mood you get as soon as you blow it. Which chalumeau did you buy ? They are kind of expensive versus a used clarinet. In which key is it ? bb ? Thank you
I love this instrument, even though I must say a higher pitch reed instrument is incredibly difficult to play in tune. This one is a soprano in C major (C4 is the lowest note concert pitch). I got it from a Spanish luthier called Sans Luthier.
I like the Clarineau of Kanuth.
Will you make a video about your duduk?
I will later, but I still struggle with it to be honest :P
Have You ever tryed a xaphoon? I hear them kinda similar
Hello Jeremias, I have not tried that yet. I believe the Xaphoon was made to be more of a "pocket saxophone" so it would be similar, but still different if that makes sense =)
I've tried one. An amazing instrument, inexpensive, two octaves, chromatic and no keys. Sounds like a sax or clarinet depending on the reeds you use. However, the higher tones require precise lip pressure for a correct intonation.
Where can i buy one?
I got mine from a Spanish maker called Sans Luthier. 😊
How is it compared to the xaphoon?
Not sure, haven not tried that instrument.
#521 scribe, great video. Could cut the reverb effect, just my thought.
Not possible, I love reverb haha 😃
This is a clariphone not a chalumeau

Neither is what you are holding a chalumeau nor is the real chalumeau the predecessor of the clarinet. The chalumeau was the chanter of the musette de cour and later developed into a cylindrical single reed instrument with two keys. The latter are essential because without them you can‘t play any chalumeau part. Also the real chalumeau had a very narrow bore and an integrated mouthpiece very different from the modern clarinet mp you are using.
Thank you for enlightening me. It was sold to me as a chalumeau, and from my Google search it was the predecessor of the clarinet, even to the point of the clarinet having a "chalumeau" register still to this day. But, I am by no means an expert, so I stand corrected. I will keep practicing though, since I truly love the sound of this instrument. =)
Duduk is not Armenian it's Turkish
I think in Turkey it's called Balaban?
@@learningmusic Balaban, Duduk, Mey almost the same instruments. The word duduk is a Turkish word. The original word is "Tutek" and over time it became Duduk. "Tut" means blowing sound, and Tutek means the thing that is blown or a thing like mouth. The word "Dudak" also the same origin, it means Lip.
Ah thank you so much for explaining. =)
