The last couple steps are the ones that REALLY are gonna impress your friends and family...
    Cheat sheet here: bestpianoclass.com/10chords
    00:00 Intro
    00:24 Beginner Chords & Patterns
    01:25 Playing the First Song!!
    01:47 Intermediate Chords & Patterns
04:18 Playing the Next Song (The ROMANTIC One)
    04:41 Step 3: Advanced Chords & Patterns
06:35 Playing MULTIPLE Songs Using Chords
Broke this one down so easy that even a kidnergardener could learn it (no, really...)
Oh, and by the end of the video you're going to be playing actual songs from the radio (no joke) that you can use to impress your friends / family / spouse or whatever else you want to do with them.
    Happy practicing!!
    -Zach

Three days ago I never played the piano in my life. I Am 55 years old. I've always dreamed of playing the piano. Day 1 I found your first beginner video 4 notes, GCCE, I spent day one practising until I could do with my eyes closed and I got my speed up. Day 2 your video of 4 chord progressions. Practised all day yesterday. I practised until I could play with my eyes closed using the shapes in my head. I nearly cried it felt so wonderful I am actually playing music. My husband cannot believe how good I sound. Today I move on to this lesson. Thank you so much. I cannot express enough gratitude. I feel musical. It is beautiful 😍

I played piano with lessons reading sheet music age 5-16 and then stepped away until 32. When I picked it up again, I was saddened by how much skill was lost. Then my friend showed me how to play using chords and it was life changing! I wish I would have started this way…. It allows the musician to tap into their creative side so much easier and takes the brain out of it. What a service your teachings are… thank you! 🙏🏻🤠💗

OM GOSH! Don't send Zach a hat cuz you just inflated his head beyond production designs (laughing). Truly though, you're right, the chord shapes not only sound great but teach the shapes you'll be using in most non classical music.

That happens to so many people! The "conventional" way is to start with sheet music, but the reality is for most people who want to learn their favorite songs from the radio, learning chords is a way better way to start. Then you can always learn sheet music later on *if* you want to

Just improvising over a nice chord progression is what I (a total beginner at the age of 45, coming from the guitar) love and what I do when I'm on a dead end with piano lessons. Helps me alot in just keeping the Instrument alive and fun.

I have been a working musician and guitarist for years. On my day job I work a late shift where I'm by myself and often have hours of downtime. Sometimes I'll get lyrics and chords off the internet for working up new material. It occurred to me that I could get a small roll up keyboard and basically sit at my desk learning piano. I've played one-octave bass pedals for years along with guitar and harmonica. Now it's just a matter of applying myself. I'm 73 and I still perform guitar gigs when they come up, it's never to late to re-invent yourself. My thoughts.

OMG. Thank you so much for explaining these different patterns. I took piano lessons as a child but didn't return to playing again until 30 years later. I was taught on classical music, but I never learned any chords! Fast forward those 30 years and now I can play chords and I've written several songs for the piano, but it is always just me playing full chords with the left hand and the melody with the right. Now I can start to jazz it up with these new playing techniques. Thank you so much for posting this video and sharing your knowledge. I really, really appreciate it! ❤🎹

Ok, I got my first keyboard 2 weeks ago and am a complete beginner. I have watched your video on loop and have practiced for about 2 hours now and I think I am at Level 2.5 (ish - lol). So loving your cheat sheets. I started practicing and found that in your ultimate beginner piano cheat sheet, the C major is played with CEG, But in your Iconic Songs Cheat Sheet the Taylor Swift C Major is E G C, same notes but different fingers. Why are they not the same.?

    • @ВиталийДомогацкий-д8ф
      @ВиталийДомогацкий-д8ф 25 днів тому

@@Constantinesis nope! Inversion is when you take a root note, and put it higher an octave - first inversion. You can take a 3rd note also and put it higher an octave. For Am you can build your xhord as A-C-E, C-E-A and E-A-C.

this is probably a stupid question, but how do you know where the A Minor, F Major, C Major, and G Major start? I know you said the D key is always between the two black keys, so i've been trying to figure it out like that, but idk where it starts at if that makes sense. Or does it just start over after G major? I'm not sure if any of this is making sense. I think i just need to see someone play it with an overhead shot of the full piano so i can really learn.

Do you have any videos showing how to play the chords by finger? I just want to practice playing and building muscle memory with C D E F G A B obviously triad chords. I need to know/visually see I'm playing each chord correctly. Don't want to memorize wrong finger technique. Hope this makes sense. A 3 part vid would be cool. One showing the major chords. One minor. And the third showing rhythm exercises with the chords. 12 123 1234 1-12...3 if this makes sense. All this with just chords and correct finger positioning for all chords: CDEFGAB
