Okay here we go. This guy was a unanimous 5 star recruit coming out of Houston, TX. He selected Kansas but after one year he transferred to Houston. He was selected by the Knicks and in his first year got a lot of minutes from Coach Thibs. Known for not giving rookies minutes let alone starting them, Thibs gave him starter's minutes after Fournier faltered. But he fell out of favor in NY after just two seasons. He's been swapped twice and is now in Dallas. I thought sure he had all-star potential. What happened? Next Stunted Growth: The Curious Case of Quentin Grimes
When he was with the Clippers he was the best kept secret. When he was with Phoenix he was playing at an All Star level. When he got to Milwaukee he started declining.
I lot of players would have killed to have the career of an Eric Bledsoe. Even with his injuries. But again it's the old adage, "A jump shot adds years to your career."
Eric Bledsoe just never became a better 3-pt shooter, and that's why the Bucks traded him for Jrue Holiday. I always liked Bledsoe's game, and he was nicknamed "Mini-LeBron." What's funny to me is that Eric Bledsoe is my player comparison for LeBron's son, Bronny James Jr., but Bronny has a better jumpshot.
Idk about this one man a 18th pick that averaged 20 a game three times was a borderline all star 4 times and played 13 years and made 140 million? Think Bledsoe exceeded expectations
I think what killed his potential was when Terry Rozier cooked him in the playoffs in the '18 playoffs (when Bledsoe played for the Bucks); he even trolled him wearing the DrewBledsoe Jersey!
You talking bout the money but he's giving people a breakdown analysis on why someone's career didn't pan out the way it should to people who may be wondering like. Damm what happened to stormwile swift or what happened to Darren collision ? It's not hating it's just adding perspective .
Ive never heard anybody refer to Bledsoe as a mini lebron. Always been a fan of his game though, that UK team that had EB coming off the bench for John Wall with Demarcus Cousins was lit as hell
Great vid. My favorite Clippers teams were when Bledsoe was coming off the bench in this 3rd year. I think Matt Barnes was in that bench group too. They'd often extend the leads or bring the team back (when the starters sat) and for a huge number of regular season games, most of the starters wouldn't even play the entire 4th qtr. Bledsoe was a monster.
He had a terrific career in my opinion. If you last over 10 years. You’re the real deal. Could he maybe reach another level? Sure but the level he reached was legit.
Aside from consistent 3pt range his reputation got damaged from him underperforming in the playoffs once he finally got on a serious team and them winning a championship the next season after trading him kilt his value
I said this a long time ago. Once he left his wife for the ex NFL player jump off and was having an affair/infedelity issues. He was never the same. I think that played a lot in his mental during his bucks tenure and threw him off to the point he wasn’t able to recover. I was a big Bledsoe advocate and I was excited when he finally got out of Phoenix. I think it was his personal rather than his game. I heard his personality was trash during the time he was on the pelicans/trail blazers
Bro i went to that hs championship game he turned up he really fouled out over a wrap pass 😭 remember it like it was yesterday and i didnt really know em back then
I thought he lived up to his potential,he was a barely 6 foot score first guard with a spotty jumper that could play decent defense at times. Incredible athleticism as well,i thought he had a solid career and lived up to expectations
@@MatthewKonvict I ain't talking bout play style or mentality D.rose a killer. I'm talking bout the physicality he brought to the pg position in his strength and speed.
They called him mini-lebron cuz he had a good-run of chasedown blocks, was super solid going downhill, and had a physical profile that resembled a super small bron
Solid career, some can even argue he overachieved seeing where he came from prior to Kentucky, were expectations too high?

12 years is a good run in the league.
Right 👍
That’s damn impressive for someone drafted 18 overall
Especially as a guard I do think their may have been another level bledsoe could have got to but all things considered he did pretty well for himself
Yes
Injuries and lack of a jump shot killed him when his athleticism started to go away
plus he was god awful in the offs
He had a Ight jumper
His athleticism never went away he was just conservative with it now
Injuries and age will do that to you.
@@cameronpalmer401 injuries but not age

I’m from Alabama just like him. Trust me he’s a state legend down here regardless what he did or didn’t do in the league

that’s all I could think about towards the end of this video, rozier embarrassed bledsoe in that series 😭
I'm not sure if you've done one or not but we need one on David Lee
I remember Rivals having him as a 5 star….dont think he was stunted. Stuck in the league long enough.
Wow. This is the exact player I've been comparing Bronny to.......
@stuntedgrowth Thanks for the Shout Out!! 💯
12 years,over 120 mil made,bro did good. Fams be nitpicking players😮

That $120mil isn't what u think bruh when that's all he made hus entire career.......Better go look at how those contracts stipulations
It’s about not reaching your ceiling
Hence the name of the series "stunted growth".. not "money in the bank"
BRO I 100 PERCENT AGREE, I ROCK WIT BRO BUT HE BE REACCCCCHINNGGGGGGGGG 😂😂😂😂😂 LIKE COME ON BRO
Ive never heard anybody refer to Bledsoe as a mini lebron. Always been a fan of his game though, that UK team that had EB coming off the bench for John Wall with Demarcus Cousins was lit as hell
They did but it was a playful nickname,he was never considered the mini lebron,it was more of a nickname than a title if that makes sense.

Eric Bledsoe was nice. You should do Ramon Sessions next.
it’s funny cuz kinda reminds me of Bledsoe. bronny jumper looks more consistent but Bledsoe was a better shot creator .
I checked out when you showed a picture of Thanasis instead of Giannis
Growth wasn't stunted. Bro went the distance..
That shit is crazy, for the COMMISSIONER to have that much power to block a trade? Thats when i knew the nba was full of slaves and Stern was the owner
I mean , a 12 year run and I’m sure some more Time overseas.20 point scorer . Not too shabby . Family should be set for life .
I can see Bronny James career being similar to Bledsoe's
Was just thinking about him, good video
Can you my favorite back up PG do DJ Augustine?
Do a video on Thon Maker!!!
I loved this guy on the suns! Still rock his jersey!!!
Let be fr terry rozier retired bro 😂. The bucks lost to the heat in the bubble was the last straw 😭😭
This is a great one ❤

I don't think you've ever done one on Darius Washington out of Edgewater High School in Orlando Florida, he was a legit hooper back in the day.
Bro i went to that hs championship game he turned up he really fouled out over a wrap pass 😭 remember it like it was yesterday and i didnt really know em back then
Nice content appreciate it man watch your stuff all the time. How about Chris herren Fresno State
can you do BJ Young? He played for arkansas and was incredibly athletic and fast, one of the best transition players I’ve seen
My guy BJ shoulda been in the L !.. loved the 2011 class ..
That was my guy, muscular shorter brotha, and super athletic, tried to mirror my game after him
I never heard him called mini Lebron
And that Kentucky club was stacked.
A bunch of stacked Kentucky teams.
D. Book coming off the bench soon after.
Out of Birmingham Alabama
Stacy Augmon “Plastic Man” please sir?
Great content ❤
He had a solid career
i love this channel 😂🔥
Do a video on sherell ford
70th video in a row asking for summer league legend Qyntel Woods please
Scary Terry came for his soul lol
This man was different in high school. At only 6’2 a real problem
My boy eb was tuff it was that jumper that held him back
Mini lebron is crazy work.
That Kentucky Team was real OP.
Dunno if 12 years played means his growth got stunted. If it does then 90% of role player’s growth got stunted fr
Have you done Josh Smith yet?
yeah he did josh smith years ago
@@NCOMBHOODIE appreciate that. Gonna find it now

wait a minute, you said the Suns waived him but then said they traded him to the Bucks. which is it?
They traded him to the bucks
Jimmer fredette JJ Reddick Gordon Hayward Chase budinger Ik you ain’t got all of them yet. Let’s see 🤔just in case Miloš teodosić
*dude a beast in 2K19* 👌
Was that Terry Rozier that called this man Drew Bledsoe and showed up in an old school Patriots jersey at TD Garden?
Can you do a stunted growth on Chris Carrawell
If LeBron James played the PG position??? Nah,that would be more like young D.rose🌷⚘💯
Nah Drose wasn’t scared of taking game winners. His whole career lbj been scared an passes it up.

Terry Rozier called him Drew Bledsoe. That’s what happened
My dawg bled
Hello can you do michael foster class of 2021 he was better than Paolo banchero back in highschool
🔥🔥🔥
Do Keifer Skyes and Jahii Carson Arizona state
them years in phx was empty stats didnt mean anything cause they was so bad
Eric Bledsoe never played like bron
They called him mini-lebron cuz he had a good-run of chasedown blocks, was super solid going downhill, and had a physical profile that resembled a super small bron
I thought the clippers wanted strictly to backup paul
Drew bledsoe 🤣😭
Dennis Shröder looks like a healthy crackhead version of him
Coming from Birmingham he did great bruh he made it far and he was not a mini LeBron he was blesoe
Bro had to carry them suns teams through out the mid 2010s before Devin Booker
Scoonie Penn
Labradford Smith
Damon Flint
Stacey Augmon
🏀🏀🏀
Reggie Williams from Georgetown
How’s it a “stunted growth” if he played a whole ass decade in the NBA?
Him and Jrue was the same person to me. Bucks would’ve won the 2021 finals with Eric Bledsoe or Jrue
Definitely not the same, jrue is much bigger and has better playmaking skills.
Bledsoe was not a bad shooter. 34 percent for career is average.
Ouuu Pat Bev
I always liked him!! I wished he could have landed in Philly!!!!
Tyler ulis!!!
Terry Rozier ...simple lol
Jesus Christ is God❤
You're running out now.
" I don't want to be here ".
