I fully understand why he doesn't like playing that level, but that level is put together extremely well, though it could definitaly use some checkpoints.
I get sad when Ryu doesn't beat the levels that killed his run or he had to skip. That long speedrun level was what I was waiting for and then the video just ends.

@Jeff James even Ryu is human...that speedrun is very long, difficult and energy draining. But I know for Ryu it's like a personal challenge between him and that level right now. He just needs some rest then he will finish it for sure in another video, don't worry

As soon as I saw Ferpy I knew Ryu stood no chance. Also If I had a choice between you attempting the Ferpy level and the 300s speedrun, i'd definitely choose the Ferpy speedrun.

That 300-second-speedrun level was one of the most legit things I've ever seen. Although it had no indications, it sure was un-claustrophobic and diversely maxed-out. Hope Ryu will take it out for us someday :)
Life hack for Ryu: Whenever you encounter a hard level and having trouble with it, just imagine, "Would I rather play this or Emilia's Terrible Life Decisions?"
Mario is one of the only games that can get away with shitty hitboxes without too much backlash from the playerbase, only because sometimes it works in the player's advantage when Mario's head goes through fireballs XD
The 300s speedrun gave me serious vibes of when Ryu played Kaizos. The pacing of how he progresses through was really similar. Made me all nostalgic. I get that it's a pain to deal with it when it randomly happens in a No-Skip SMM2 run, but in general, watching Ryu read and progress through hard levels like this is so fulfilling. =3

That 300 second speedrun level is the perfect example of why checkpoints are so important to a lot of good levels (barring short ones of course). It seems like a lot of the individual challenges are not too unfair on their own, but they become unfair when you have to restart the entire level every time. A lot of them seem like mini speedruns with the P switches and all, so the level wouldn't lose very much by axing the 300 second speedrun part of it, in order to put some checkpoints in there.
