coming along nicely, your a patient man, to many times i have seen things destroyed by people who ran into the first problem restoring a machine and damaged things in there rush to just get it apart. well done
Thanks Adam! Time and patience are a must when it comes to restorations. In fact, I bring up the same thing it part 3 ... Slow down and take your time or you'll end up breaking something. When I first started restoring I would knock out a machine (drill press, tablesaw, lathe, etc.) in less than a week. I then learned to slow down and think things through before diving right in. This machine www.shanewhitlock.com/images/fwwm.jpg took me almost 6 months to restore.

..Nice job Shane !! I use ATF, Kerosene with a touch of motor oil. Slow and Steady is the way to go...!!
Thanks James!
Good progress.
Jim
Thanks Jim!
I like that you have penetrating oil in a squirt bottle. I hate that when ya spray it out of a can it goes everywhere and waste most of it.
If you add Kerosene and Mineral Spirits you have Ed's Red.
Ya sure do, good stuff for cleaning firearms! I've got a bottle of it mixed up in my gun cleaning supplies.
Yea, used it for awhile but switched back to Hoppes...addicted to the smell.
The acetone don't mess the sqwert bottle up
It will some types of plastics, but not this one. I've been using this bottle for 10 years or more.
