Yes there is a procedure for the idle relearn , do not expect to succeed on one try. Here the procedure Do not perform this procedure if DTC are set Start and idle the engine in PARK for 3 minutes . With a scan tool, monitor desired and actual RPM. The ECM will start to learn the new idle cells and Desired RPM should start to decrease. Ignition OFF for 60 seconds . Start and idle the engine in PARK for 3 minutes . After the 3 minute run time the engine should be idling normal. IMPORTANT: During the drive cycle the check engine light may come on with idle speed DTCs. If idle speed codes are set, clear codes so the ECM can continue to learn. If the engine idle speed has not been learned the vehicle will need to be driven at speeds above 70 km/h (44 mph) with several decelerations and extended idles.

I did the same thing, @ 6:20 but at the end when i was putting the black side throttle sensor, i used a screw driver to move the inside of the pin insert to match the throttle body pin.. now my truck seems like its pressing to much gas, as soon as i put it on drive, it goes foward a bit fast, how can i fix
you need to reprogram the computer. for the new part. It will relearn the correct idle rpm. MOTOPOWER MP69033 is sooo cheap, like $26 plus shipping. and can reset the code, but I honestly dont know if it will help you reprogram the idle positions.
I am having all the same issues of a bad tps that I had before I replaced the tps with a new one. I am asking Whats is the differance when putting the new tps on if you open or close the flap when you line it up to put the new tps on.
chris good when I say flap I am talking the flap on the throttle body when he lines it up to adjust for new tps. He opens it to put new tps on. Well what happens if you close it to make that adjustment
chris good good to hear! I’ve got a P1516 and thought I needed a reset after replacing. I get that reduced engine power especially during cold weather! Thanks for the video and tips.
honestly you can reset the idle two ways, let it work itself out, in about 20 miles or so, or a few days of driving. or use a computer (which is how i did mine) it has a really simple setting to reset the idle. so if yours starts off at 1900 idle rpm, and wont go down to 550-650 rpm you can reset it. the ecu relearns pretty easy though. most aftermarket throttle body/sensors will cause incorrect idle rpm, afterwards.
No more codes, hard to say if its snappier I don't drive this much and it always feels sluggish compared to the duramax. For the fuel mileage its better now but also hard to say cause of the bad throttle position sensor being replaced.
Great video, you just forgot to show how to calibrate it.

I put this comment up, for anyone who doesnt have a scan tool, to reset the idle on 2007 yukon. hope it helps, cheers
To any one watching this video yes you have to have the tps relearn process done by dealer or buddy with capable scanner
Willie Chestnut not here I just plugged in put back together. Light went out and got my mileage back
Should the old o-ring on the throttle body be replaced ?
Im having so many problems with a 2007 tahoe, I'm never buying a chevy or ford ever again.
06 tahoe owned for 5 years only replaced water pump at 200k miles and knock sensors....works like a champ 💪
Hey can someone tell me what's wrong with my gmc Yukon denali 6.2 engine no codes coming up after driving for awhile
Ty
I cleaned my throttle body and now it has a high idle... any idea what is going on i have no vacuum leaks and no check engine light on
MrHector817 get a scan tool at a reputable garage and have them reset the idle in the computer. Probly takes 15min

Did this clear the trouble code ?
Do you disconnect ground? Or what?
I did mine 2weeks ago and it’s idling kinda rough. Any suggestions?
I noticed you opened the flap to put the new tps on. What would the affect be if you close the flap to put the new tps on?
you wouldnt be able to put the tps on. The arm from the flap wouldnt line up into the tps.
Mine went on when I closed the and lined up. Now I am experiencing the same issue.
what is the issue you are having. they way this was all put together everything worked fine.

did the sensor work. no more code?. hows the response with the spacer
15 seconds into the video can you please tell me how to unplug the connector that is connected to the plastic air hose housing thanks
mase202 sorry was quite a long time ago and I don’t remember. Can you not look at the new tps sensor and see how it clips in
I see you put the gasket on wrong, may be leaking. Paper gasket should be at throttle body and spacer.
I have the gasket between the throttle body and the the spacer and from the engine to the spacer is the o-ring. Cheers
I had put the new sensor and it was working fine but then it started to accelerate by it self ?
Need relearn process done by dealer
Willie Chestnut mine is doing same this I put a new throttle position sensor and it’s accelerated? How do I stop it?
hey whats up guys. im gonna change the tps on my 07 escalade tomorrow. is it true i might have to reprogram the idle??
Not sure never had any problems with 07 yukon idle after i changed the tps
I changed mine and my light is still on I cleared the light but it came back on so yea I have to reset mine I have a 08 silverado
Computer should relearn idle after 50 miles or so
What was the symptoms.
colas solorzano was an error code
Do you have to reset the computer after replacing the throttle body sensor?
Chill Vibes I did not and the error code was gone once replaced.

what brand was the sensor and where did you buy it? Thanks
Just off ebay, not sure what the brand it is. The yukon is running great
Did you disconnect the battery?
No I didn't and had no problems
Cole Kennedy porque mi carro Quema mucho aceite
Why replace the sensor
The fuel mileage became brutal and was an error code ( can’t remember the code number )
What was it doing for u to change
Shawn Twonine fuel mileage became brutal and error code
brutal fuel mileage and a tps error code
What code was it throwing?
can't remember, was a tps code though and the fuel mileage went brutal
Do you have the part number I can't find one
Johnny Ramirez sry took so long to get back to you but I was unable to find the part number
Th445
What code did you have?
TOP ADRENALINA can’t remember the code but the mileage was brutal
A whole month went by, how is she holding up?
No more codes, hard to say if its snappier I don't drive this much and it always feels sluggish compared to the duramax. For the fuel mileage its better now but also hard to say cause of the bad throttle position sensor being replaced.
Was it smoking a little before you changed it
K
Drive it 60 miles it will recalibrate itself don't believe mechanics
Worked all good fuel mileage came back. No issues. Slid a long time ago. Cheers
I know a mechanic tried to charge me 250 to reprogram it🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your hand covered most of what you were doing and you didn't have very good information.
Looked more like a cave man working on a car.
He made so many many mistakes..ive done plenty of these..
Takn bolts out..nope
Gasket in wrong..
Trust him if u want to
Im out
