Hi Ben, me and my son (sxd)are usually up at clay on practice days, nice to see you having a go, rotax 125 are quick compared to rentals, good vids/explanations, i am the only one using a 100cc watercooled kart 19 you are doing good getting out there and getting laps in/experience ,will hopefully see you again at clay 🏎🏁
Thank you Edward, really appreciate the kind words! It’s definitely a bit of a different beast to tame compared to the rentals (which feel like they’re in treacle in comparison 😂). It’s really cool that you’re down there often and hopefully we will be down there a bit more in the future for some more track time, as I think it’s lacking a lot at the moment - I look forward to seeing you again 😎🫶🏾
That’s not bad at all to be fair on a pre evo engine! 💪🏾 I’d love to be able to find a bit more pace and be able to have a few little battles, must be really enjoyable to go toe to toe with people on track at high speed! 🔥
Great driving Ben, just one question , apart from the obvious difference in appearance what are the main differences between a rental kart and a rotax kart and how fast were you going in the rotax? Thanks.
Thank you very much! The Rotax is far more powerful and lighter, meaning the kart gets to 70mph quite easily and accelerates a lot quicker than a rental kart. It also tends to have more grip in the tyres, meaning that you are able to take corners a lot quicker too. This makes it all-round faster each lap and a bit more physically demanding on the body too.

I can't see very well as I'm watching on my phone ,
But it looks like you are running the front spaces very wide,,,
Good driving 🖖🏻
This is probably very true, still have a bit to tamper with on the setup and lots to learn through driving but I appreciate it a lot thank you! 🫶🏾
