Shenandoah (with apologies and gratitude to Buddy Emmons) performed on the pedal steel guitar by Susan Alcorn live at the home of Arty Hill in Baltimore Maryland. Video by David Lobato.
Ah! This is SO beautiful!!!! Slowed my heartbeat right down. Calmed my mind. Better than perfect, it's real. I fell in love with the player on the spot. THANK YOU!
Nice version of this classic. I just came here for your post on FB. It must have been a happy moment, between friends appreciating the steel. Thanks for sharing
Oh. I didn't realize you lived in Baltimore. I suppose that's why I've seen so many mentions of you on fb recently from people like Rupert and other Normals crew. Thank you for your music. It always makes me feel something. Always. Wether it's an improv or a rendition of music by another artist.
Brought a tear to my eye.
Susan, that is so incredibly beautiful. Steel away my heart!

Very nice Susan. You usually post different music that traditional country. You are definitely a talented lady.
Amazing
Awesome!
Dare I say it? I find this better than Buddy's version. Great job, lass.
Hermoso!
Put the recording device somewhere so it doesn't pick up her pedal mechanism.
It was in a small and crowded room and he was (my husband) recording off the mic in his camera, so he didn't have much choice.
@@sus453 I see. Well otherwise you did a very nice job.
