So I just started using the product a few days ago and it had the opposite affect on my hair. No flakes at all and it gave me the definition that I was looking for
I started using the freeze gel a few weeks ago and I LOVE IT!! I dont have the flakes that I have w/Eco Styler Olive oil (my fave). I use the 3 minute miracle and the leave-in spray (MUST HAVE). I don't have the build up. I dampen my hair w/water and I dont have to use much gel to achieve defined curls and they are OH SO SHINY!
Your hair type is so interesting. It's loose curls at the ends and the roots are almost tight waves. Very interesting. Loved the video!

Y’all. I’ve been using this for years. I would say 4-5 out of 7 days. Try not to put heat on my hair anymore so I curl it everyday. As far as the hold on curls, yes it’s perfect. The long term damage is not worth it. My scalp/hair is ruined. If you have the old formula you should be fine but this new product ruined my hair quality and scalp.

I love this stuff for my hair honestly, my hair is more of a loose curl though. I tried using it on my boyfriends hair and it did the same flakey thing yours did. It’s a good product for certain hair textures, but hey everyones hair is different and reacts differently.
I have wavy hair and we have very different hair but I also got super bad flaking with this gel too! It’s weird because a lot of wavy haired people love this gel but I absolutely hated it.
FYI for my cheap sisters, as like myself, Family Dollar has the WHOLE Aussie Moist line, Shea moisture, Cantu and whatever you could think of for ten dollars and less y’all! y’all know they be over charging!

I tried the Aussie gel multiple times, on the first day it looks incredible, super defined and shiny and 95% frizz free I would say. But starting day two, curls start looking super dry and stringy and I always thought my hair was the problem. This formula just works for people who are able to maintain moisture within strands, unlike me, as the product is so drying you must have a very good hair condition and super moist leave in so that it works well for you. I hated it so much but I did not throw it, now I use it if I want to do sleek hair styles only, it holds great if you push your hair to the back!
I mean it is a gel called “instant freeze” it means that it’ll slick it just like edge control
I'll definitely be trying the deep conditioner

Vannette Robinson depends on if I have the time to re-wash or not. In this case, I had stuff to do so I couldn’t restyle till the next day. Even in the puff it looked terrible so I had to wash ASAP

Although my hair is straightened in my main pic, I have 3b/c hair and Aussie is the only gel that clumps my curls and leaves it frizz free. However, the only time it does not play well and has some funky flakes is due to the leave in I've used underneath. Curls had a really great leave-in at one time that worked so well with it way back when. Don't think they make it anymore.

Y’all I’ve been wondering for months WTF was wrong with my hair. I’ve changed shampoos 9 million times. Tried all the deep conditioning in the world with no luck. I’ve used this for years and it’s been the ONLY thing I could find to work for this mop of mine. UNTIL recently I found out they changed the product ingredients. I thought it was just the packaging. I’m biracial. (black dad/white mom) I have EXTREMELY curly hair. A mixture of 3c&3b. Complete shrinkage at root and long S curls at bottom. My hair a year ago would curl beautifully. The gel would make a little dandruff on hair(not scalp) but wash right away after a good shampoo. Not my hair is like the SAHARA desert. Even after washing and scrubbing .. and I mean CLAWING my scalp till it bleeds with my nails, a comb, any item I could find. Still flaky, still ruined. This may work for a while but don’t continue to use. I’m so sad. Never going to get to wear my curls again because I literally can’t use anything else that actually holds for me.
I think Aussie products are more for non ethnic people. Ethnic people got they own stuff. 😂😂
