Take me by the scruff of my skin
Pull me from this fever within
Dragged down by the blight of my kin
Painted with the seed in my sin
And it's so lonely
Give me the key to the pipeline
I need to drown out these white lies
Dropping my own-brand ego
Keeping it Spartan now that we know
There's peace in crossing that line
A stroke that paints for my kind
I think I'm losing it all
Insane I'm finally free
It makes me grind on my teeth
A way of keeping control
Split to quick to make it to your paradise
Not quite fixed but hanging on my sacrifice
Words don't stick but sting with every compromise
What's the point of it all
Scream don't shout, devout, you aren't a deity
Grin don't pout, the crowd is just a speck to me
Dripping, draining, tripping on my own two feet
Raise the bar or you fold
Lighting fires just to put them out
Tasting the embers with my cotton mouth
Circles and squares trying to force it
Tying the tide inside a corset
There's peace in crossing that line
A stroke that paints for my kind
I think I'm losing it all
Insane I'm finally free
It makes me grind on my teeth
A way of keeping control
Fooling the gods 'cause I'm Promethean
Separated from oblivion
Letting loose until I'm losing grip
Clenching my fists until my knuckles split
There's peace in crossing that line
A stroke that paints for my kind
I think I'm losing it all
Insane I'm finally free
It makes me grind on my teeth
A way of keeping control
You make me grind
