- In 1995, DC and Dark Horse Comics teamed together to create the crossover SUPERMAN/ALIENS. In calling back to previous Superman arcs such as "The Supergirl Saga" and "Superman in Exile," this new story found a unique challenge for the Man of Steel as he encountered the deadly Xenomorph species.

It's actually kind of interesting, seeing how someone with absolutely no experience in being afraid of physical threats reacts to the presence of a xenomorph.
True, but I’d like to think that after Superman has been around other human heroes like Batman, the Robins, Green Arrow, etc. for years, he would have picked up some hand-to-hand combat skills and combat sense lol.

I love that Superman's first instinct is to attempt to speak to and reason with a xenomorph even while it's covering him in acid and trying to bite his head off. edit: Xenomorphs are not stupid, and canonically they have a kind of psychic connection with each other. If Superman was at full strength and demonstrated that there is absolutely nothing the xenomorphs could do to harm him, I wonder if the xenomorphs would adapt by trying to negotiate with him. They're the ultimate survival machines; maybe the reason they've never negotiated or communicated with another species is because they've never _had_ to.
They would probably try to find a way to impregnate him...as they know his DNA would strengthen their hive. Well, maybe not "know", but instinctually they would be compelled to make their hive stronger with his DNA.
The queens are smart. The drones are dog-level IQ unless being coordinated by a queen.

LOL aside, I thought it was a neat touch, having Superman go through this morality arc, and not just "Boom Pow kill some Aliens". Added more depth to the story.

The graphic novel version is the book that my dad got at Christmas time just before he died. After he died the book disappeared, I was glad to see this site's version of it. This version took me back. I wish he were here to see this site's version.

@@weldonwin This is actually the thing that has always bothered me with Supes, just his ridiculous adherence to this moral high ground of his. He jeopardized the entire planet of Earth, even his refusal at the end to kill a Xeno after seeing how much suffering they could cause was just stupid. What if that Xeno manages to get away and into a vent shaft and somehow gets down to Earth? I still remember him and Batman giving Wonder Woman so much crap for killing Maxwell Lord when the alternative was to let him run wild with a mind controlled Superman taking over the world. I suppose this is what made his turn in Injustice so extreme, after trying to adhere to this code of his for so long and finally snapping.

I remember, in the 90s, my dad calling me into the hall and just holding up the cover art of the chest-burster through the Superman symbol. I just kinda stood there with my eyes open and silent for a few seconds. I'd mostly read Batman and Catwomen comics but holy cow was I suddenly needing to read some Superman.
The hyper-agile, born to hunt and devour xenomorph, moves closer and stops in the presence of Lois Lane, utterly confounded by her God-like plot armor. I still own these comics, and that section is still ridiculous to this day. Great job bringing the arc to life with your storytelling!
It's her metagene. Situational convenience. Ps. It's not the first time the Xenos have stopped for dramatic purposes. It usually just ends badly.
My issue with this story is superman doesnt lose his powers that fast. Hes fought away from earth many times and for the most part he maintains most of his power and hes fighting Darksied and other powerful beings. Superman would had tohave been fighting the xenomorphs for weeks before it would start effecting his power level.

It was established they we far from a sun, the farther from the sun the quicker his powers drain. Regardless, it was nessicary for the plot, if superman was at 100% this story would be 5 pages.
Personally, I’m still waiting for Winnie the Pooh versus alien but that’s just me.

Wow, just...wow. This is a crossover written by someone who understood both Superman and Alien, and did them both justice. Was expecting more of an alien rampage aboard the Lexcorp space station, but I won't complain since pretty much everything else in the franchise does just that.

@Alan Pior True. Many years ago, Superman traveled into space after finding out he became Gangbuster during his sleep. He became weak only after many months without the sun.
Yet, looking at the old Alien movies Superman would still have easily defeat them.

would've loved to see the inside visual of that!! like a chestburster thinking it has the upper hand by almost breaking thru, when suddenly his insides get stronger and more impenetrable, eventually crushing and mashing the thing to pulp! If this is a post doomsday Superman, and he really is 20% strength during this, then despite the people of Argos not being kryptonian, these Xenomorphs must be extremely powerful, far more powerful than a normal xenomorph (as I'm assuming a majority of the xenomorphs encountered are birthed from Argonians, which is weird to say considering Argonians of elder scrolls)

Ah! The 90's. When every comic book had to have a character with a mullet. Even Superman.
I grew up in the 90's reading Superman comics and there was a short time when I was a child that I thought the mullet/ponytail was cool and would draw my own heroes with said mullet/ponytail. My friends said they looked stupid and I disagreed. I see now that they were right.
I'm 36 said I'd never have a mullet.....it's 2021 and I now have a mullet.

Great reading "Alien Theory" dude! You made it sound really creepy, especially with the music. I remember reading this comic book in the bookstore a long time ago. I always thought that it was cool to see Superman fighting against the soldier aliens and using use dwindling powers. This made his limitations more interesting when fighting the monsters.
I think I also remember reading this comic in a Border’s Books when I was a young teenager...I read it once then, and now this comic is feeling familiar...😁

Wonder Woman travels to an ancient temple to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a team of archaeologists, and, unfortunately, discovers what really happened to them. Now Wonder Woman must prevent the swarm of Xenomorphs from spreading across the planet

For me, most Alien-related content by itself ranges from 3/5 to 4/5 stars. Everything read by Alien Theory somehow elevates it to 5/5. I just enjoy it more. This video makes me think that all horror/action+horror narration is just AT's gift. I hope for more in the near future!

@@memesarekeem It basically was in "Legion Of Super-Heroes". Eventually, The Time Trapper was deleted from history and due to that every thing he did was also deleted...including creating the Pocket Universe.
That story was still in continuity at the time of the crossover.
Killing the alternate version of Zod's group (who wipeout out all life on Earth) made Superman paranoid ,insane and he left Earth for a time.
But the "no kill policy" was not only dumb but inconsistent ,Jurgens who wrote the Aliens crossover made Superman kill Doomsday and tried to kill the Superciborgue a couple of years before.

In their natural form, the different types of DC Martians look shockingly similar to the xenomorphs, so it's perfectly logical to try and reason with a similar looking species.
Phenomenal work bro. I read this in 1995 knowing both the bright optimistic world of Superman and the dark deathly world of the Alien series. What you created was a movie fully complete with music and sound design. Great work. :)

The writer planned to use her in the main continuity as a revamp version of Supergirl (wihtout the Kryptonian past) but DC editors blocked him.
If I remember correctly, there was also a Alien/DC one shot both featuring Batman and Superman!
Judge dredd also had an encounter with the xenomorphs

There have been Alien crossovers with just about everything. I remember there was a comic called Stormwatch, which had a event comic where the Xenomorphs wiped out an entire major Super Team

Dan Jurgens AND Chuck Dixon wrote this?! I have to get this book. Chuck Dixon is my favorite comic writer of all time, for his work on Detective Comics, Nightwing, and Robin.

Plot twist: the chestburster Superman coughed up? It didn't die. Being spawned from a Kryptonian, the new Queen was also able to absorb the Sun's power. She rapidly grew, developing super strength and speed, x-ray and laser-vision, and worst of all: the ability to fly, even through hard vacuum. The queen still could not match Superman's power, but eventually her new brood of Kryptomorphs would. With that, she turned her hungry eyeless gaze towards Earth...

I LOVED the Batman vs predator comic ! You're VERY good at this. You should try to do a channel/playlist ala comicstorian ! You have a unique take to the "audio comic".
I could just imagine Superman ripping the face hugger off his face with no problem and the acid doing nothing.
Even Superman has to take a minute to consider if these monsters need to die.
Sadly, the boy scout still tries his best not to kill any of them, despite what they would do.
I sometimes think that his invulnerability makes him subconsciously forget how different some lifeforms are to him. Are the xenomorphs smart, logical, sentient? Maybe so. In fact, probably. But that just drives home the fact that the hive mind set wouldn't rest until nothing was left but the hive.
Zod would never stop, Brainiac will never stop and Darkseid may never be stopped. It's a sad truth, but when a terrible force decides not to stop until everything is destroyed or conquered, even in defeat: then the choice must be made, before its made for them.
This is one of the best crossover stories I've ever read, and does both franchises perfect justice.
It also helps that I grew up with both. Alien was my first horror movie (when I was 7, no less, spying from the stairs when I couldn't sleep, and my parents were watching it.) and the first three Reeves Superman movies were a staple of our VHS library, and watched often.
This comic is fantastic.
Even reading the female parts, his narration is legit and keeps my attention. Great voice for this type of content. Kudos.
Spoilers:
The murdering of the 3 kryptonians led to superman having a mental breakdown that led to him developing D.I.D(dissociative identity disorder). His alter was that of a vigilante named Gangbuster who laid heavy hands on criminals he was attacking. When he came to realize what he had been doing during his blackouts he decided to leave earth. He left because he considers himself a danger to the populace.
This was just me filling in the missing story arc that lead to him leaving earth. Now to continue listening the always awesome narration.
Henry Cavill sort of gave up Superman but he is VERY willing to come back.
I dont know/think Batfleck will come back. I wish he would return but he let the haters chase him off. I liked his Batman. And Snyder cut is badassed!

I remember one comic where he swore to himself that he wouldn't kill any living beings, including xenomorphs. I think that he was saving one female colonial marine in one planet or another. As he was fighting his way through the broods, he kept his words as a mantra until he had no more choice but to kill his way out.
So wait, does this story take place in the main timeline or is it an elseworld story? I’d be every shocked to learn of kara being introduced in this story as fascinating as it is.
Today I learned that all the comic book fans who were upset with Man of Steel because it wasn't true to their ideal comic book version of Superman had no idea that Superman killed Zod in the comics.

As a true comicbook fan, I honestly love Man Of Steel because of The Superman I always wanted since I was a kid.

The ideal and proper superman doesn't kill. His his moral code. In whatever happened to the man of tommorow superman accidentally kills mr mxy and because of this he goes into a gold krytonite cell. When Lois asks him why he did it he said that someone who calls themselves superman should never kill. That's how superman should be. In what's so funny about truth, justice and the American way or superman Vs the elite superman says that he isn't judge jury and executioner, no hero is or should be. This is how superman thinks and some writers won't get that so you do get fuck ups here and there.
Oh yes, I recall reading this back in school. There was a dude who got the whole book. It was very enjoyable.

You should consider doing more of these comic read throughs. Was like watching a movie. You put alot of personality in each characters voice and even more effort with the video editing
