Spears should've read what actually happened at the Battle of Rorke's Drift, and the preceding Battle of Isandlwana. At Isandlwana the Zulu slaughtered a large British force which had the support of artillery and cavalry. The Zulus accomplished this because they were, in fact, *very* well trained in the art of war. You could consider them an African analogue to the ancient Spartans. They were capable of and indeed excelled at fighting in organised formations, modelled after a bull's horns. One formation formed the head of the bull, supported by two formations on either side forming the horns, and one to the rear making up the bull's flank. Zulu warriors were exceptional runners and would literally sprint into battle, and so the head would smash into the enemy at speed while the horns encircled them. In this way the Zulu conquered many rival kingdoms in southern Africa and posed a real threat to the British. Rorke's Drift was really a miracle for the British. It was a small encampment and field hospital comprising an old farmstead and a very small garrison, many of whom were wounded or sick. When they were attacked by the Zulu army they were outnumbered considerably. The Zulu were in high spirits from their crushing victory at Isandlwana, and by no means fatigued by the battle or the march to Rorke's Drift. The British forces that day were incredibly fortunate, saved by the favourable terrain, their world-class training in rifle drills, and the courage of the men present. They were atop a hill in a valley, giving a clear line of sight to the enemy who would be funnelled to their position. They had what we're at the time state-of-the-art Martini-Henry rifles, single shot breechloading firearms which could be fired to an effective range of several hundred yards at maybe a dozen rounds per minute by a skilled operator. The rounds were over half an inch in diameter and could kill a horse a quarter mile away. The British Army in 1879 was the very peak of military technology and doctrine, and yet they were only just barely able to force the Zulus to withdraw after extensive fighting which deteriorated to hand-to-hand combat between spear and sword and bayonet. If Spears knew this, maybe he would've been more apprehensive, and wouldn't've died like a bitch.
He could have made this work if he alterted the genetic code. Much like the genocide red aliens. The xenos WOULD have fought if they had a different genetic area and thus impure.

Me: "I know... do it."
Cn20 nerve gas the whole damn nest
"Terraforming exists, we'll buff out those scratches."
Exterminatus is the best way to deal with any Xeno filth.
Just have your "Ravens Teeth" Take em Out... With your Thousand Eyes and One! ;) lol. Oh wait that's Planetos..
It's the only way to be sure
I was waiting patiently for a new video in the series, and I was not disappointed. Although I do wish i could have seen some xeno on xeno combat, but oh well, at least Spears got what was coming too him, if only he had realized he had been played like a finely tuned fiddle.
Your videos never disappoint, great series and keep them coming!
This is what the directors should have done a movie of instead of Alien 3. :P
Hicks and Newt are the two most neglected and underused characters in Sci-fi history
Yeah Thx, A3
This was probably your longest Earth War video, but I loved every minute of it.
I live for these particular videos, and the wait for the next installment is always excruciating.
Good work!
I love these Earth War videos. The narrator's voice, as well as the music really emphasize the sense of hopelessness that pervades the atmosphere. You really get the sense that winning, or even potentially surviving, feels like a lost cause. Everything humanity has ever created or established is now only an empty shell, overtaken by the xenomorphs. I almost hoped that the General's attempts would work, if only in part, but we knew that it wouldn't. Anyway, keep up the great work!
Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoy the videos!
Really a treat to have such high quality readings and presentations. Thanks, and what a cool comic series - sucks I missed this one.
Love the blinking edits. Makes the story feel so surreal.
I love this series man, you're doing such an amazing job. Cant wait for more!
Great work there on the soundtrack! Especially from 25:00 to 29:00
Subtle in the background and that's what makes it awesome and emotional.
This is just pure awesome.
Words cannot express the amount I enjoy your videos, thanks for the on-going great videos even though this hard time on youtube. Cheers man
So glad I found this channel about 2-3 months ago, honestly you are amazing at story telling!
Chilling on a Saturday watching this 32min long video, Is there a better way to spend my Saturday?
I don't think so.... ; )
I cannot wait for the next one!!!!
This is the best work I’ve listen to in a long king time.
You did a great job on this video. I've always wanted to do this, but you did better than I could have. Keep up the great work!
One of the best and most satisfying videos I’ve ever watched on YT
in a time before alien 3 ruined everything lol
Nope !!
Alien 3 was a good movie, outside of killing Hicks and Newt.
@@djay6651 ...and Ripley
Alien 3 is wierd to me. Its a good movie but it isn't Aliens. At least for a trilogy (not including Resurrection) at least they are quite different to each other. Most trilogy movies cannot say the same.
Please...
more.....watching this on a rain/hazy morning, great stuff.
Spears finally got what he deserved. I only wish that Hicks and Newt were there to see it. Great video.
yeah he used innocent women, men , and even children as bait for the aliens , he even burned the alien queen's children (the eggs)
Don't worry. Remember them cameras that Spears had readied to broadcast live his "grand entrance"? Newt and Hicks will definitely see that recording. XD
@@MrDibara: In that case, I can't wait to see the next video in this series.
Excellent narration, great subtle use of sound / bgm, and the content.... I don't even know what- speechless. Thank you very much that's a sub for sure
