What a wonderful person Yanis is! He puts himself into jobs with such enthusiasm and interest. He has a wonderful atmosphere with you all helping him to learn so much. You are all such wonderful people.
Yanis has quickly become a valuable member of the team and his willingness to learn English is just one example of his ability and eagerness to learn new skills. He won my heart immediately! ❤️
I am totally blown away by the intricacies of this organ. Michael and Nick are so patient and meticulous. Alex’s abilities with camera and music are superb. Thank you, Billy, for bringing this channel to us. Hope the Out of Order is taken down fairly quickly. Maine USA
Just think, someone had to envision all those parts, how they will work, where they will all go, precise measurements, spacing…. True craftsmanship. Great job with the reassembly. ♥️🇨🇦
I know! If anyone has a disassembled vintage pipe organ laying around, you should sign these guys up to come put it together for you now that they’ll be Masters of a truly niche craft! 😂😂😂
All human knowledge is built upon previously gathered and treasured, human knowledge. If we were required to think up everything from scratch before we manufactured it, nothing would ever be invented and nothing would ever be built, because we'd have to invent every process along the way. Humans are unique like that. This is why Apes aren't playing with rockets, much less going to the Moon.
Only a few minutes in, & first the COOL technical talk, then the "brotherly" bickering, between Nick & Michael (brothers from another mother) already has warmed my old heart!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I so enjoyed that also! They are funny together and you can feel the bond developing. Nick is not only very savvy but funny. (Extrusion it is, Nick!) Michael, the multi-talent, seems so happy in the company of the convent and his new projects. It's truly heartwarming to see all this unfold.
Dear guys, another extraordinary vlog. Thank you for sharing. Michael reminded me of a job I used to do in my spare time. I used to make sea fishing rods and would whip the eyes onto the rods. I too was a Beatrix Potter fan and used to visit the Lake District and visit Hawkshead regularly, this was many years ago. Now I live in Arizona have 4 rescue horses and have Blue Moon Barn and used to work at Red Moon barn. I sat next to the organ as a young choir girl and always wanted to know how the organ worked. Now you guys have piqued my curiosity and I love your attention to details. You make me feel like I'm at home once more. ❤ you guys including Mr Moon and his lovely family. Best wishes from Arizona 🇺🇸.
Lots of things going on. And so many talented people involved....... The organ, the kitchen, mowing the grass, clearing for the library, etc. And everything goes hand in hand. Yannis has become a channel favorite, and easy to see why. Hard worker, and does anything asked of him. With a huge smile........ And you can tell he loves the camera. Not shy at all. Got to keep his fans happy. :)
Today's video is amazing on so many levels. Nick, with his ability & skill set to turn his hand to anything; Michael, who is an incredibly talented, artistic artisan; Billy, who is relentless with his commitment to this beautiful old convent; Billy's Father, who impressively works harder than most men much younger; Yannis, who works like a machine whilst showing such touching respect to Billy's Dad & last but not least: the cinematography of the smoke & the light was exquisite.
I've just got over battling thyroid cancer. These videos give me strength. positivity through younger people is the most positive medicine. You can't buy it.
I've always loved this channel but have to say, these episodes with rebuilding the organ is so interesting and the surroundings, the music, the filming, the people, it is just amazing content, you are all doing an amazing job, all of you!
Yanis, your English is really good! You’re a real study in self improvement, hard work, persistence and you have such a lovely disposition. In fact, all the Pethericks (such as Nick, Alex, Simon, Michael, Sadie, Gwen, Mick, etc) have the same ethics. All are charming.
I am enchanted by this project, the intricacies of the parts, mechanisms, leather pieces, wood, metal. I have so much respect for Nick and Michael working together and piecing it all together. Alex, your filming and music is mesmerizing. You should win an award for this. The intelligence of the person to create and build the very first organ must have been a genius. I cannot even begin to think what that was like and to then hear the sound coming from it after it was built….wow! Yannis is everywhere with a smile and a positive hard working attitude. Love you all. xx
Well done, Michael & Nick on continuing to restore the organ! Hope Billy is able to find the little wire replacement you need so the organ will no longer be OUT OF ORDER! Congratulations to Yanis, Mick, & Billy for cleaning out the "soon to be library"! Another awesome video, Alex! Your perspective and choice of music is outstanding! Well done to EVERYONE!
Thirty solid minutes of cool, extremely interesting content along with Alex's incredible cinematography & lovely music just turned my crap day around... I needed this. Thank you to everyone, you *all* are so appreciated. 🙏
Time .. patience .. & passion .. watching you guys work on this project is just incredible. I’m in awe of all you’re doing .. a true labour of love 🥰 Bravo, bravo 👏
Billy, i am very happy your channel has survived and is flourishing. The chateau programme you first appeared on seems to have disappeared. you are doing great work Billy and co.
Michael the Man - jewelry maker, writer, illustrator, organ restorer, roofer, ect., ect. You put any more notches in your belt, it'll fall apart 😅 And always works with a smile on 😊❤
Oh Nick you have such patience!!!!! Your humour is such a lifting joy,so great having you in the Petherick process.Crack On lads you really help put energy into life
There is always a learning curve when working with something. Everyone has a job to do, whether it's carrying, loading and unloading, sweeping, cleaning, it all has a purpose in keeping an organized work site, making certain that everyone has a safe work environment, take breaks, have a meal, etc. Everyone is compensated for their hard work. Yanis, Nick and Michael have been very instrumental in the restoration (tedious and meticulous craftsmanship) of the organ stickers, bits and bobs, and still have a lot to do. Billy, you're the band leader, keeping everything all in check. Billy, your dad and Yanis have worked well together as well. Your dad has done a wonderful job with the clearing of the garden area with the digger too. North Carolina, USA (retired)
I have fallen in love with your convent. Everyone is so busy and dedicated to your renovation. Billy and Michael are so different but their work is so brilliant. Billy with his hard work plastering, painting, fitting trims and tiles, and Michael's intricate works on the beautiful organ. I love these videos. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
Yanis just fits right in. God bless him. In years to come, he will be a part of history and be able to tell his story to his children, grandchildren, and so on🙏🏼
Love the catchy phrase, "Job's a good'un! "👍 All of you have made some remarkable achievements in getting the job, the projects, done. 🥰 It's all swell!
OMG! A double height library! I’m soooo jealous! I love the smell of libraries. The mix of wood polish and leather bound books and the mustiness of old books brought down through the ages. My idea of heaven! Next year is going to be epic. Thank you Billy. You’re the best you tuber ever! 😊
It would help enormously if you got a stock of tapped phosphor bronze wire from you organ material supplier. You may also need more of the leather buttons and felt washers which fit on the tapped wire. I say this because you may find more breakages and you can't afford them once you have closed the windchests. When restoring my organ here in the Auvergne, I replaced ALL the pull-down wires with new to ensure long life. You're doing a great job, don't let a few wrong bits spoil it.
This project has been fascinating. A friend from my youth was (still is) organist at a large cathedral in my city, and once let several of us walk through one of the pipe lofts while he played Phantom and Procol Harum songs with all the stops out. Almost blasted me off my feet. This one isn't nearly as big, but still I wonder where on earth in that chapel the guys can find spaces for all those pipes they've got waiting because it seems like there's a lot more than would fit in back of the console. The workmanship as always on this channel is meticulous and creative, but what they are working on right now is new and different from anything we've seen in any of the chateau channels. The photography and editing on this episode has been the best yet and made me wonder if Alex was doing some film courses while away. But maybe a fog machine is a bit over the top dramatic, and possibly not so good for the organ, the painted ceiling vault, or Michael and Nick's lungs?
I cannot find adequate words to say how much I am enjoying this series on the rebuilt of the organ. The beautiful rich photography the detailed work, enhanced by age lyrical piano sonata! Alex that was a sublime combination!
Just mentioning, when I had to replace broken parts of an organ that that had been made with a wood that thickness was no longer made, I had new ones made up with a lazer printer using a stronger materiel than the wood, worked really well.
Yanis has changed so much since he came on. It's wonderful to see such a helpful person. He never hesitates to do what he is asked. He is always willing to help anywhere. I love this group and their unity.. Many could take a lesson or two 🥰
I hope you will save those beautiful wood panels. Micheal, I can tell you're such a perfectionist! Great work Nick & Micheal. Same Billey, your Dad and Yannis.
Those protection symbols (like the one you found in the organ) are really common here in Pennsylvania. They’re called hex signs. You’ll find them on barns all over Amish country and in the deeply-rooted German areas of our commonwealth. We even have them on our wedding licenses here for good fortune! The one you have looks like it’s meant to be a petal rosette.
Hello everyone!! Billy, what a visionary you are, to see these ideas turn into reality, even if it will take time (and money!!) the results will be wonderful! Best wishes from Lincolnshire
As a maker myself I am saying, Nick is quite right. EXTRUTION is technically the term for squeezing the wire through the grooved part of the press. (Not that anyone is keeping score lol).😜 Another brilliant engaging video with truly skilled crafts peoples. And I am amazed that so many creative minds can work side by side with such minimal differing of opinion lol. Keep up the great work guys and looking forwards to the next instalment. 😁❤❤
Well done billy your vision is amazing and can’t wait for the library you just never stop working and hope your giving yourself time with your lovely Gwendolyn and boys ,Alex great filming and music and lovely to see your dad again he is such a worker Thankyou.💖🙏💫
Putting together the organ has been fascinating to watch. You would never think so many pieces bho into such a work of are. All of the repairs, so intricate. You all have brilliant minds. The Puzzles I would never be able to put together.
Billy, these videos are just so interesting, fun, and exciting more each day. Alex is doing such a great job! Good On Michael and Nick with there technical expertise in replacing broken bits. Yannis is a treasure to have on your team, the Jack of all trades. w! Billy, I have to say, when your dad is in the videos, it is my favorite part, (he is so cute) and you know, I love that he wears his NY Yankees hats! LOL Don't tell your mom and I won't tell my husband of 53 years! LOL😂
I would rather have to do The New York Times Crossword puzzle in under 20 minutes in INK than try and figure this thing out. My hat is off to you gentlemen. I'm enjoying this. Including the good-natured bickering between Nick and Michael. This reassembly is quite the challenge.
Michael & Nick together > 2 perfectionists...lol it. ❤️ 🎉😅 I love all of this >As an American - because everyone is so polite & respectful to one another as a rule of the day subconsciously > but this group is extra so 👌 with a pinch of humor > always. Much appreciated & loved ❤. Alex your touch is amazing as always & Yannis is so amazing how eager he is to learn & stretch himself to learn anything! Thanks Billy for bringing all this to us . 😉 Can't wait for this library to get started. The Kitchen completed & this organ to be played. 🎉🎉❤
Who would ever think watching people clear out a room would be an art form. Alecs ability to chose music to match is an art. I think musical directors could learn a lot watching these videos.
I am in awe at the skill and mental aptitude it took to originally design and build this instrument. All done without the aid of a computer. The abstract thought process involved is amazing. I would have loved to meet the mind involved in the creation and assemblage of this organ. The skill set you men have in the reassembly and fabrication of replacement parts is beyond words! Crack On and best wishes from a Grammy in Central Texas 😊
I am amazed at all the detail and expertise needed to disassemble the huge organ and actually put it back together, repair, make new pieces, etc. You all are very clever and hard working folks. Between Billy, Michael, Nick, Mick, the camera guy, Yannis, and everyone in between, you are doing such a great job. The chateau, cottage, grandparent's place, horse stalls, greenhouse, etc., and the convent are works of art. The woman's contributions are also wonderful.
Nick and Michael you can pencil the date on your knew wooden sticker. It’s such a joy watching this magnificent organ getting renewed and rebuilt. Truly fascinating.
You very clever lads are putting your own personal touch along side the other craftsmen that have been before you. Having the point of distinction between new 2023, old and older still is just wonderful and you are keeping history alive! Looking so forward to hearing music not just sound emanating from this wonderful work of art. So enjoying watching and wishing I could be there to help!
The organ deconstruction and reassembly has captured my imagination, I can hadly wait for the new vlog every day! Congratulations to everyone involved. And now the library, how wonderful! Crack on, guys!
I am totally amazed of What Michael Can do 🏆🫵 Nick and Michael are doing a great job on that old peace of Music instrument ❤️🫵❤️ Looking forward to Next year and the new project All of you are just amazing guys 🏆
I am so excited about the library! After the kitchen, library’s are my favorite rooms in the house. I will bathe in a creek in the winter and use a outside privy with a toilet seat heated over a fire as long as I have a good library to come inside too. I have seen the old library you bought some time ago and have been watching faithfully even since. Yah January!
Yannis is great! He's coming on leaps and bounds with the English! He does make me chuckle when he says 'let's crack on' Looking forward to hearing the organ play.
When I viewed you ( and many helpers) dismantling the organ, I thought, “amazing idea, but I can’t imagine it will ever be reassembled”! That wasn’t even considering the old broken and non-functioning parts! Great job. I look forward to the daily progress. The original builders of the organ and the convent would consider you equal craftsmen.
It is amazing how all of you have come together as a team to put the organ back together. With the skills and equipment necessary to replace broken and missing parts. And Billy pulled that metal press out of nowhere from an old project. The happenstance is to much. Nothing short of a God sent project. The knowledge and life skills among everyone coming together for this project is truly amazing!!
Loved the explanation Nick gave about the inner workings of the organ, absolutely fascinating! So excited for the start of the library. Actually, I think Pip wanted to go on holiday so he forced you to put the “Out of Order” sign on the organ! Or, he could be out searching for a new wire to replace the broken one.
Unbelievable the amount of detail & workmanship that your team has put into this restoration!… great minds working together, Nick is so dedicated, know it’s been hard leaving the family but what a legacy you creating with this organ….Congratulations to Michael, Nick & Yanis! The best talents!
I was telling a friend about this vlog and how much joy it brings watching the whole effort to get and restore the organ. Also the anticipation waiting to hear it play. Crack on indeed, love it.
I hope you realise what a talented team you all are, Billy you are like a magnet drawing in the best of the best, each with their own unique specialty’s. 🙏🏻
You really need to be at peace with yourself to do the tedious precise work on rebuilding the organ. Kudos to you guys. I never realized all the necessary components to this instrument, and I play the piano. I can hardly wait to hear Michael play it.
The operation of your metal press reminds me of a pasta machine. My daughters and I helped my grandmother with this tool when she made ravioli for the family. Johanna Maine USA
According to the Oxford Dictionary, extrusion is the correct word for pushing/forcing something through a die: "to form (metal, plastic, etc.) with a desired cross section by forcing it through a die."

YES Yanis, is such a learner and all around nice person. You are so fortunate to have him, as he is with you all.
Everybody loves Yannis 😊
Yanis needs to just follow Mick around and learn every single thing that he can. Mick's forgotten more than most ever knew in a lifetime.
Yanis has quickly become a valuable member of the team and his willingness to learn English is just one example of his ability and eagerness to learn new skills. He won my heart immediately! ❤️
I love the way he says crack on .
I am totally blown away by the intricacies of this organ.

I feel the same way. Well said! Also, I’m from Montreal and I ❤ Maine.
Just think, someone had to envision all those parts, how they will work, where they will all go, precise measurements, spacing…. True craftsmanship. Great job with the reassembly. ♥️🇨🇦
It's amazing to think that someone figured all of this out and built the machine that make such beautiful music. Wow!
yeah, i was thinking of this the other day. the mind that even invented/created all of this...wow

So happy to see Michael involved in a project that suits his skills, you’re a legend mate ❤
Thank you Alex for your creative, video ,music , editing, music.👍🎶
I had absolutely no idea of what it took to move an organ, amazing how much work and patience, and intricate work. Two artisans you are, ❤
I am amazed at all the detail and expertise needed to disassemble the huge organ and actually put it back together, repair, make new pieces, etc.
You all amaze me with your energy and endurance and your ability to work harmoniously together !
The organ deconstruction and reassembly has captured my imagination, I can hadly wait for the new vlog every day! Congratulations to everyone involved. And now the library, how wonderful! Crack on, guys!
I am totally amazed of What Michael Can do 🏆🫵
Nick and Michael are doing a great job on that old peace of Music instrument ❤️🫵❤️
Looking forward to Next year and the new project
All of you are just amazing guys 🏆
Even more splendid filming than usual. Congrats Alex!
Everything is just beautiful. SO excited about the library! ❤
Fascinating stuff ... and Kudos to the newly returned cameraman for the many beautifully framed and atmospheric moments.
Not your average 'handymen' here. And that weepy guitar background was perfect. 💫👏
Yannis is great! He's coming on leaps and bounds with the English! He does make me chuckle when he says 'let's crack on'
Looking forward to hearing the organ play.
Love the banters between Michael & Nick. 😅😅
I am so excited for the new project! You always have amazing plans. Can't wait to hear the organ.
With Alex's amazing cinematography skills, he could make eating a sandwich look like a piece of art . I believe the nuns are happy.
Is there nothing these guys can't do
what a great team of friends working together
this is the best channel i have seen yet
keep it up guys
I love the passion that each of you put into everything that you do. ❤ Plus fantastic choices for the music.
Happy Birthday Yanis! You are amazing and you are such a special person in the Petherick family. Crack on! 😊
MICHAEL is the ultimate Renaissance man. Genius…. true sense of the word…no cliché. Just ❤Michael.
Loved the explanation Nick gave about the inner workings of the organ, absolutely fascinating! So excited for the start of the library. Actually, I think Pip wanted to go on holiday so he forced you to put the “Out of Order” sign on the organ! Or, he could be out searching for a new wire to replace the broken one.
...So let's crack off! 😉😂 You are all doing such a marvelous job. Well done boys! 👏👏
Unbelievable the amount of detail & workmanship that your team has put into this restoration!… great minds working together, Nick is so dedicated, know it’s been hard leaving the family but what a legacy you creating with this organ….Congratulations to Michael, Nick & Yanis! The best talents!
Michael's machine looks like a pasta maker. How intriguing and cool is that?? This whole video was mesmerizing to watch. Thanks to all involved today.
You guys are so talented! Love seeing you all working together, using your skills and knowledge.
I was telling a friend about this vlog and how much joy it brings watching the whole effort to get and restore the organ. Also the anticipation waiting to hear it play. Crack on indeed, love it.
I did the same! Shared info and a screenshot of them working on the organ. I look forward to this channel every day!
I hope you realise what a talented team you all are, Billy you are like a magnet drawing in the best of the best, each with their own unique specialty’s. 🙏🏻
Ooooooo....the library! How exciting 😊❤🇦🇺
Fantastic to see such minute attention to detail from Michael and Nick. You are doing such a great job.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, extrusion is the correct word for pushing/forcing something through a die: "to form (metal, plastic, etc.) with a desired cross section by forcing it through a die."
Soooo, basically a pasta machine for wire! 😄 Everything is coming together so beautifully!
The Painstaking time, effort, and skill that goes into refurbishing. This organ is just astounding! I applaud all of you.❤
