Michael and Nick are definatly in their element, both look so happy and pleased with themselves, as they should be. This is a most exciting time in the life of the Convent. Enjoying every bit.
Every thing is coming together nicely, love seeing everyone so happy with what they are doing 😊it’s a pleasure and privilege to be able to watch 😊thank you all ❤️
The organ project is just flying! So incredibly impressed with the momentum of the team in the run-up to the holidays. She'll be ready to sing in no time - well done Michael and Nick, the work is really commendable
Here in the US we call them back splashes behind sinks and stoves. All your work on the kitchen and on the organ in the chapel is wonderful! Bravo to everyone!
We also use the less colorful term "lower cabinets." At least I'm assuming that's what he's referring to when he said "carcasses." Not going to lie, I had a vision of two sides of beef hanging from the ceiling on either side of the stove.
@@loganbutler1016Haha! It never occurred to me to think of that. When he refers to carcasses he basically means the framework of the units minus the doors and bench top.
This channel just gets better and better...so enjoying the incredible kitchen restoration..... stunning choices and hard work Team Billy and the organ rebuild......gripping stuff.....Nick and Michael......what an achievement. There will be carols for Christmas in the convent chapel!!
I agree! I have followed every day since the beginning, never miss an episode. I like this channel because it is HONEST, no fake story lines. All the people are fun too! Favorite channel!
I could not agree more. I so look forward to getting on You Tube seeing what is happening every day. It has been a very difficult year for me this year. The Pethericks are a calm port in a very stormy sea for me.
I love the fact that Billy not only getting through the renovations of the convent, but helping so many people along the way with their own channels, Billy you are an amazing human being & a great friend, you have so many blessings coming your way for just being you. Love & Light from Australia 🇦🇺,🍺🍺🍺🍺. The grand old lady is looking beautiful, after the love & attention she is receiving, looking sharp after being cleaned & repaired. Such a talented & hard working & passionate crew you have there Billy.
The kitchen and library are worthy projects but the organ rebuild takes the channel to a whole new level. How lovely that the first sounds are just in time for Advent.
The kitchen is a stunning transformation. The vision Billy has for it is all falling into place. What a bloody brilliant team you all are, to hear actual music from the organ is wonderful.
When I was just out of high school and broke I restored a 1930's bungalow. Reclaimed stone to fix a back wall, reclaimed beams from a house teardown, reclaimed floor from ripped beamd, tile from a dumpster, pieces others would say"too small to save" nicks, chips and scratches tell the story of the journey. Blessings forward.
All I can say Billy is that the permanent residents of the convent must be more than happy with what you have done are doing at the convent. I guess that once the organ has it's voice and is being heard throughout the convent they will in no doubt be rest assured that it is now a happy place to reside.
I keep thinking that whoever invented the pipe organ was a mad genius. But now I'm realizing that everyone through the ages who's been able to repair - not to mention rebuild the whole thing from the ground up - is equally a mad genius! I am truly humbled at your abilities Nick and Michael, mad, mad geniuses both!
I can't help but imagine different pieces of gorgeous music that could be played on the organ. Of course, because of the season, I think of "The Messiah". Whatever is played, it will be soo exciting and beautiful. 'Can't wait to hear the loveliness and majesty from such a grand instrument. Thank you so much for your rescuing, rehabbing, reconstructing, and putting new life into the organ, so that we all can appreciate and enjoy the wonder of it all. Thank you Mummy Moon for our little furry helper and friend, in fuzzy little Pip.
It would bring tears of joy if I heard Adeste Fideles. However, anything coming from the grand lady after all the hard work will probably bring tears of joy and celebration.
The organ is beautiful, people should really question why the controllers of this world changed the perfect healing music frequency from 432 to 440 mid-20th century. See how 432 vs 440 affects the cells within our bodies.
I loved this video. Between Mick and Yanis dancing under the umbrella (singing in the rain?) and Michael and Nick's camaraderie with the organ I couldn't stop grinning. The kitchen, Billy, is gorgeous and appropriate. Did you see that absolutely stunning chandelier that Ed and Anna found while antiquing? I am already picturing it in the kitchen. HugZ All !!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Yes, enjoyed every minute! I too loved Yanis and Mick’s umbrella dance. I’m thinking Yanis is an honorary Petherick son by now. And the kitchen is looking more fabulous every day. Paddy is a brilliant carpenter. Has he had a chance to look at the organ rebuild? I imagine he’d be fascinated with the woodwork. Well done everyone 🫶🙏🏻🎹🎹🎶🎶❤❤
Such important and noble work, Michael and Nick! Excellent progress! It is SO lovely to see your smile, Michael! Really have missed that! Well done, Billy, for all of your efforts to bring these historic properties back to life. I appreciate seeing every moment of the transformation! Be blessed.
Michael's laugh is way too infectious. His reaction to playing the organ. I want to hear the rest of the second song he began playing! I want closure on that most delightful tune.
So many wonderful moments in this video, love how cozy the kitchen is becoming, got the biggest smile with Yannis sharing his energy with Mick under the umbrella, the beautiful cinematography, and my most favorite part, seeing the raw, uncontainable joy from Michael as the organ begins to be filled out. All that work is paying off. It's growing my joy and appreciation for this amazing instrument. Thank you for bringing us along for an experience we could never have had without seeing so many of the steps along the way. Also, best of luck bringing the smaller pipes with fewer overtones into tune. Having played the piccolo, I know it can be challenging. Thanks again all!
Thanks Billy, for getting the convent and especially the organ. And for letting us watch it get broken down, moved, put together and even played some! Having someone watch me do something for the first time or that requires deep thought is nerve racking for me. I can hardly imagine the intensity of putting such an old and precious thing together let alone having anyone watch. So thank you, Michael and Nick for tolerating each other and the eye of the camera staring at you while you put the organ together and thanks to Dad, Billy and Yanis for letting us watch their support in the build. Enjoying where the kitchen is going. Oak counter tops sounds lovely as long as they are pretty waterproof. However, maybe the countertops around the new stove might be nice in stain resistant stone, maybe something with some or all black, on top of the oak cabinets. That would be more heat resistant and give a good spot for hot stuff leaving the stove. It's beautiful Billy. All of you, remember to take time for selfcare, which includes rest. And wear masks and eye protection more often (Yanis and Dad) when working with old, dusty stuff. You are bad about it too, Billy.
I enjoyed seeing Michael and Nick having such fun. We say it all the time but that doesn't lessen the fact that you are all incredibly talented and remarkably good people. A joy to me to be a little fly on the wall watching it all.
Phenomenal to hear the organ. I don't do puzzles of any kind. The organ build seems like a 50K piece puzzle. Such patience, skill, grace, as you build, Michael & Nick!! Love to see Mick, Billy & Yanis assisting, too. And Mick & Yanis did a great clearing out. Well done. These longer videos bring me such joy. Admire ALL of you. & many thanks to Alex for the excellent quality, & for freeing Billy up for other "duties." Finally, Billy, the kitchen is both more magnificent & more inviting as each day progresses. Blessings.
I’m absolutely floored by Nick and Michael’s knowledge and skill. I’m not surprised Michael had a bit of a flat spot, that’s some monotonous work. Well done 👏👏👏
It’s coming on so fast now. Michael and Nick are so knowledgable thank goodness for childhood piano lessons. So wonderful to hear all these sounds coming out of these old pipes. What a journey it has been from Norwich to France, roll on Christmas when I am absolutely convinced that we will be listening to a few Carols on this great organ!
Mick must be overjoyed to see how talented his kids are . Yes ….and spending all that money on music lessons. Mick seems so happy working with Yannis . Nick you are one special person that fits right in with Micks family . What a great experience it has been just watch you all .😊
I can’t help but wonder if when Billy first saw the convent, overgrown and neglected, if he envisioned all of this talent, skill, and camaraderie coming together to help him make this a reality. It’s amazing to watch. Thank you!
Love hearing you play the organ Michael and I imagine when it is completed, and you play your first recital to us all, there will be a flood of tears from your many thousand viewers. ❤❤❤
Very interesting Organ project, We, my husband and I are watching each video as it progresses. Tuning is a sensitive challenge. I tend various hertz which create magical effects to our bodies, other negative and are in the sacred geometric measurements in sound which resonate in harmony with the vast majority of harmonic natural frequencies of universal construction
This is just so overwhelming! It's hard to believe how absolutely gorgeous the kitchen has become. I never knew a thing about how an organ is put together and this has been fascinating. Michael, Nick, Billy, Paddy, Dad and Yanis! The work and craftmanship by everyone involved is amazing. What a team of people are gathered at the convent. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Alex your professional video work and choice of music makes these the most wonderful videos to watch. I absolutely never miss one of these!!
Gosh! It's great to see how you are resorting this wonderful instrument! Open all the doors and windows in the spring, when the weather is warmer. Ring the bell to let your neighbors know something great is about to happen and then play, play, play!
Nick and Michael are really knocking it out of the park! So much amazing knowledge between the two of them- perfectly aligned to rebuild this incredible instrument! Billy’s gift of bringing the right people to the table, his leadership and project management - not forgetting the capable hands of Mick and Yannis! This is the dream team! Really great stuff! Thank you!
If the sound of the organ could fill that beautiful cathedral just imagine the sound coming out of the chapel doors for the village to hear 😄. Wish I was there!
Thank you Family Petherick and all the wonderfully talented beautiful friends and others helping in this awesome restoration of not only an old building but of an ancient historic organ to boot ! I truly believe that even though the Convent has been deconsecrated it is still, and will in the future, be divinely blessed. 😇😇😇😇Can't wait to hear Christmas music being played by he wonderfully talented Michael 😍Love you guys 😁
I have enjoyed this organ build so much that I have watched these videos twice. Can't believe how much I smiled today when the organ played. So, so happy for you all.
Taking that cold cavernous ruin of a kitchen and making it into a cozy inviting space was phenomenal! You are a superior decorator ! Congratulations, Billy, on the actualization of your vision...you're nine tenths there!😊
SUGGESTION Perhaps when the Organ is completed you could host an event at the Convent of music presented by Michael for the dignitaries of the village. Also Michael should record an album of Organ music and proceeds could go into restoring the convent. Michael and Nick are an amazing team. Billy I love ❤️ you and your family you are doing a fantastic job. God bless you 🙏🏻
You all are working on the ultimate Christmas puzzle. As a kid there was always a puzzle on a table to put a piece in as we walked by....your organ is fabulous! Love the music choices too
WOW! Amazing work on the organ Michael and Nick. Yanis and Pop Petherick doing a great job and Paddy did an awesome job on the windows too. Watching the progress on everything is very satisfying. Alex splendid job in video work. Love the longer segments. ❤❤❤ OMG it’s so good to hear the music beginning to hear and Michael so very happy. You guys are amazing. Mick is so happy all that money he spent for music lessons has paid off big time… there is divine intervention with the organ being restored and minus dust and grime from years of being played in its prior cathedral. ❤❤❤
What a labor of love! Michael and Nick are... what's the phrase Nick used yesterday? Oh, that's right~ _Diamond geezers!_ Paddy did a smashing job on those oak window sills. They are truly gorgeous. Billy! I'd Ozmo the living daylights out of them before the first time some numpty leaves the window open in bad weather. They would be a perfect spot to grow some small pots of kitchen herbs.
The organ is sounding so lovely in that space! It is amazing seeing the re-construction with all those pieces and how you're doing it. What a fabulous app, too, to be able to use to tune the organ and get the pipes in the right places. Pip is such a wonderful overseer, too. The kitchen is looking more and more amazing, too. The Yule party you'll have there with the organ and the kitchen done is going to be an incredible event.
I wonder what the local residents think of all these improvements and renewed life at the convent. They must be so curious and also quite proud of your progress. I hope you have a big party for the village when the time is right!
Great work on the rebuild. One suggestion going forward, you’ll find it much easier to put the internal pipe work in with the front golden pipes out. When all the other pipes are in then refit the golden open diapasons last. Blessings to you all. I’m really enjoying seeing it all come together.
I love the window sills! They are beautiful! And I just love all Michaels giddy laughter hearing the organ play!! I can feel their excitement and its just grand!
The kitchen looks magnificent. Brilliant intricate work done by Michael and Nick on the fabulous organ. Such rnjoyable videos. We'll done Billy, Michael, Nick and all concerned. Watch every minute.
The filming is so wonderful and the music is perfect ! I love watching Michael and Nick at work- they’ve gotten her to sing again ❤ The excitement is riveting . Billy - your family and friends all working together on such a remarkable convent restoration, with all that entails, is nothing short of magical!!!
I don’t often comment but I have to say how fabulous the kitchen is. The organ I find fascinating and felt quite emotional to hear a few notes. Looking forward to hearing Michael play when it is finished.
Michael, when you struck those two chords, as you held the tuner, the sound was so warm and rich!! This magnificent instrument cries out to be resurrected!! Chuck in Northern New England
Michael and Nick are doing a terrific job bringing that organ back to life ! Billy, as usual is cracking on in the kitchen ! Yannis and Mick are the definition of team work !
It's me again! In order to save time, if you lay all the pipes of a given stop (the 8ft Open that you're working on now) on a flat surface, you can rank them in size order. Then all you have to do is plant them in the same order - no need to check each pipe with your tuning gismo until they are all in. Good to see that you got all the trackers & stickers in - well done.
Does everyone see the excitement on Michael's face? I just know he can't wait to play an entire song for us on that grand organ. I hope he plays Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah!" I think it would be beautiful! What song do you all think should be the first song to 'christen' the organ?
The kitchen is looking more magnificent each time we see it, and the organ rebuild is actually going faster than I expected. I’m glad the boys are having fun with it, and each other. Yanks appears to be having fun too.🖤🇨🇦
Michael and Nick are definatly in their element, both look so happy and pleased with themselves, as they should be. This is a most exciting time in the life of the Convent. Enjoying every bit.
Every thing is coming together nicely, love seeing everyone so happy with what they are doing 😊it’s a pleasure and privilege to be able to watch 😊thank you all ❤️
They definitely are on the same wavelength.
Its all amazing, such talented and extremely clever people you all are. Absolutely love watching. Thank you x😊
Nick is enjoying pressing Micheal 's button s😅
Music ❤❤
Alex, your camera work is stunning. The kitchen shots and your use of the light were so beautiful. The music didnt hurt either.
He has great taste in music and it fits the videos.
@@jamclay Roger that.
Loving the bluesy guitar that accompanied Dad and Yanis loading windows into the truck. Alex, you’re making the action look like a fine documentary.
Enjoying all the different things going on, with Alex we get to see them. Have a restful weekend gentlemen. Great progress in everything this week.
Loved seeing Mick’s lighter side come out with Yanis. It was very endearing.

Michael's enthusiasm playing the organ made my day 🙏👌🏻😃
The organ is not only getting rebuilt but it’s having a massive overhaul so will be better than before ❤
The carpenter does beautiful work. Things are progressing rapidly now. Michael is enjoying this so much. I love his pure joy.

I wonder what the local residents think of all these improvements and renewed life at the convent. They must be so curious and also quite proud of your progress. I hope you have a big party for the village when the time is right!
I think it sounds wonderful and can't wait for the completion of placing the pipes.
Lots of patience needed for such tedious work BUT really worth it ! Great effort guys!
The kitchen looks magnificent. Brilliant intricate work done by Michael and Nick on the fabulous organ. Such rnjoyable videos. We'll done Billy, Michael, Nick and all concerned. Watch every minute.
Billy, the kitchen looks fantastic already and the music its great 👍.
The kitchen is getting more stunning by the day, and so is the organ. ❤
Billy, this will be a wonderful event space. Concerts, dinners, wine tastings, meetings, something for everyone.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the organ & kitchen Reno's the whole team has a lot of patience the hard work is paying off thank you for sharing your reno
4:20 In the U.S. it's backsplash. 😉
10:08 Those deep window sills could be great for growing kitchen herbs in pots!
Michael, when you struck those two chords, as you held the tuner, the sound was so warm and rich!! This magnificent instrument cries out to be resurrected!!

Wow when Michael started playing it was fantastic 🎹🎼 what a great team .
Such a talent to play the piano. I can’t play so I love seeing the fingers going across a keyboard.
Does everyone see the excitement on Michael's face? I just know he can't wait to play an entire song for us on that grand organ. I hope he plays Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah!" I think it would be beautiful! What song do you all think should be the first song to 'christen' the organ?
