The white azalea bush brought back a memory. When I was 11 we moved to a new house. In the front were lots of red azalea bushes a one little white one. I called it mine and loved watching it get bigger each year.
Thrifting Is one of my hobby’s too. Last year I lost 24 lbs, I donated all my clothes, and started to thrift my new size clothing, I think my closet is now 75% thrifted. I really don’t see much I like in the regular stores, but thrifting you can find great labels, and every article of clothing is different from the other.. I added up my receipts, and I thrifted a whole season of clothes and accessories for $75, and the brands are Ralph Lauren, Loft, and some designer labels. I pay between $3.50-$4.99 each piece, you just can’t beat it. It takes patience, sometimes I walk out with nothing, and sometimes I find a true gem. I love your thrifting videos Hillary, and you also always do so well when you thrift… I always love what you find❤😊 loved all your recent finds
That’s what I love about thrifting , name brand for cheap, I was told once I would not accept hand me down clothes because I buy name brand & I look high class but they had no idea I had paid 5$ for everything I was wearing 😂
Hi Hilary, great finds at the thrift store! The tuna patties remind me of the ones my Mom used to make growing up . I don’t think hers had cheese in them but I bet that tastes great. ❤
I have been on the hunt for a rolled bolster pillow ever since I watched a decorator’s home tour. He had them on the cracks of the cushions on his sofa so that “everyone gets an armrest”. MIND BLOWN! I have a long sofa with two cushions (so only one crack😢) but I’m still going to get one for when I sit at the end.🙌🏻
First of all I must say you are very talented at decorating your home.I am amazed with four kids everything is so clean and organized. Normally with kids people become minimalist in order to maintain a clean home.
"Hillary," you have definitely found some beautiful things that are so useful for your home, and I love the ideal of that couch pad. Now I'm interested in getting a couchpad as well!
Our family loves tuna salad and patties. I was recently informed that only one can of tuna per adult is recommended for staying under the limit of mercury toxicity. Alternating with salmon and chicken is a great idea!
As soon as you held up that basket, my mind immediately thought 101 Dalmations. I've always wanted a dog bed like that too. It's just so charming and cozy. How fun that that was also your reasoning for wanting the bed too. Love the gingham couch pallet too.
well, had NO idea about the sofa pad! Thank you for that tidbit, I will be looking into those. I love azaleas, I miss being able to grow them. I am from back east and always had them in the yard. I moved and cannot grow them here. I had to laugh about bringing in the flowers from the garden. I am now terrified to do so! MANY years ago I taught kindergarten. One student brought in gorgeous flowers from his yard for me and I put them out on my desk. Came in the next morning....there were HUNDREDS of praying mantis babies!!!! It was like a horror show but with really cute little praying mantis babies looking at you. Ever since then, terrified to bring in flowers!! LOL. Thanks for the great tips!
I cannot believe your thrift haul. Awesome! You know where that bolster would look good? In my bedroom, lol. And that Ralph Lauren bag.....I would stuff that sucker with something and decorate with it, lol. What a find. Like that Pendleton skirt you scored a few years back. Honestly, you got good prices. Hollie over on Simply Lake and Lace was talking this morning about how high thrift stores are now! Our's certainly are! She said she goes to antique stores and gets items just slightly higher than thrift shops. And, looking at the prices, she is right! I haven't been thrifting in forever. I just don't buy, I have donated so much stuff that has been a load off my mind and heart to Salvation Army. Gosh, that table is awesome. It would look good down here in Texas too!!! Hilary, thank you for always having a video that makes my day. It includes so much and is heartwarming. xoxDeb
Thank you so much Hillary. After watching your thrifting haul (great one!) I want to go thrifting. I find so many treasures, it's really like a treasure hunt! I often find brand new clothes or items for my home with the tags still on them! Your living room is so lovely, and the touches you have added make it even all the more welcoming and cozy. I'm definitely going to try the tuna patty recipe, they look delicious! See you next Thursday, take care!
I make chicken cakes. Eventually I took shortcuts and started putting them in the oven. Then even shorter, I don't even make them into patties anymore. We scoop up a spoonful or two onto a base of slaw mix or romaine.
The tuna patties look scrumptious! I will definitely try this. You are so blessed to have such a great thrift store in your area! You found some amazing things!! Love the table especially. And I love your shades!
We have a beautiful plant stand for a side table as well. Ours is a little too big, and a little warped in one spot from time and heavy use over the years. But my grandfather made it for my grandmother, so it is precious. And also really beautiful.
Score! You always find the best thrift items, you have good stores in your area. The RL bag, how perfect for you and your style since you're a fan. The little table is adorable, it works so well there. Nice haul! My mom used to make Salmon patties when I was a kid, they look similar to your tuna ones.
Love love the blinds, I finally broke down and purchased these blinds also, I’ve always loved the look, makes any room so cozy. I bought them for every room, I think they go with many different styles. Love them on your windows🌻🌻
Wonderful video! You are such a magical homemaker such a gift to your family. I am long past this season of life...getting into retirement age now, but I enjoy seeing how you have made such a lovely home, and I am a huge thrifter, so I live your thrift hauls. Enjoy this time of life it goes by so quickly!
Is it just me or did you do lot more voice over this time? I really like it! I always felt like I was interrupting your day when you stopped to describe or explain what you’re doing as you’re doing it 😅.
I love thrifting, I've been doing it for many years! You found some nice things. The shades look so pretty! The azaleas are beautiful! I love salmon patties, my mom made the best ones when i was growing up😋 TFS!
Thrifting isn't what it used to be with pricing, but it can still be so worth it and you always find the coolest stuff! Our town had a town wide yard sale, last month, and we managed to get a few things I flipped for. One specifically made me think of you. It's a barometer that hangs on the wall and has a ship on the water art at the top of it that has the colonial flag on it. I didn't even realize it was the colonial flag until we got it home and it catches my eye whenever I walk in or out of my living room. ❤
Hilary I love those thrift finds. Your home looks lovely with the new blinds. I love the color. My husband wants to make the tuna cakes after seeing you fry those. Have a good day. ❤
We have a big dog and she loves to curl up to sleep. We our cats a round cushy bed and our dog curls up and makes herself fit, lol. I would see if you set out that bed with a cushion or blanket if he snuggles up in it. Give it a little time before selling.
Great thrift finds! I love Azaleas, we had tons in our yard when I was a little girl. My Dad was quite the master gardener and we always had lovely flowers.🌸🌺🌷💚
Geez that Ralph Lauren bag was a great find! Dog beds are so expensive! I splurged once on a 'Harry Barker" bed because I was in love with the Toile fabric but gosh, expensive. That little table is so sweet, every chair needs a place to set a drink I think, the one you found is perfect for your space. Great video as always, I might steal your couch pad idea :)
You got some fantastic bargains, a lot of people including myself are trying to save money Hilary, on home goods and meals, disappointing about the wicker dog basket, hopefully one will pop up for Finn, loved the vlog Thankyou xx
I love tuna patties - I make them for dinner occasionally. My mom used to make salmon patties when I was growing up. Great thrift finds Hilary! I love your new roman shades. Your videos are my favorite. God bless.
Couch pad is a great idea I think you can wash them and they do help so much. Also the sun will hit the back of the couch and discolor it :( happened to me once long time ago. Love the Ralph Lauren bag and table darn Finn did not fit that bed it is really lovely ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙋🏻♀️
I love the white “artichoke” vase holding your violets…I’m getting some at Trader Joe’s today because of your inspo! Also love the tuna cake recipe. Can’t wait to try. As always, your videos are always such an exciting treat! Thank you Hilary😊
Do you think you could do a short video on how to sell or give away things on Facebook marketplace I've never done it before maybe you could walk us through it and tell us about some of the pitfalls. I'm not interested in shipping just for people to come pick stuff up and pay cash or get it for free. Ty💕
I really like the sofa pad. At some point could you update on whether the silicone dots on the backside cause any issues with the fabric on the couch? I’m interested in something like that and like you, have been using a throw blanket on our couch. I’ve used a chair pad with those little sticky dots before and it left a residue behind. Your living room looks cozier every time you show it. ❤
Your home is just so beautiful, Hilary! You make it look so effortless! Also…..I have to try those tuna patties and banana muffins! Yum to both! Have a blessed day! ❤
It's not "cognac brown" (although I know that's the current marketing) It's Newmarket Tan, or more accurately in this exact shade, London Tan if you want to describe old world/equestrian inspired leather colours 😉
I know exactly that Ralph Lauren bag it came with a cologne purchase so it was one of those gifts with purchased so probably was never used by whoever had it
I put all of my thrifted baskets in the shower, spray them with 50/50 Murphy’s Oil Soap and water, rinse with hot water shower spray and let dry in the shower. Actually, I also do this to dust and refresh ALL of my baskets occasionally, because the oil soap cleans AND nourishes the wicker.
Was this a specialty thrift store like in a church because goodwill prices are just wayyyto much. Love the tuna Pattie’s going to try and make it for Daniel see if he will eat. Please keep praying for us
Salmon patties were a favorite growing up with my grandparents in the 1970s and 80s. I think the recipe using canned salmon was a post war carry over, possibly?
Did you get your hair cut?! It looks really nice! You’ve mentioned in the past cutting your own hair. Do you still do this or do you get it done professionally?
Good morning! :) A while ago, you were promoting earbuds. I am interested in learning more, but can't find the video for the link! UGH. Can you please provide it for me? Thank you!! Have a great week! 💜
The red and white pillow actually makes me think of summer- Memorial Day, July 4th, and a summer picnic blanket come to mind.
The white azalea bush brought back a memory. When I was 11 we moved to a new house. In the front were lots of red azalea bushes a one little white one. I called it mine and loved watching it get bigger each year.

@@arobichaud40 today my whole outfit cost $8.99 all designer labels
Yes, your thrifting hauls are some of my favourite videos!
The tea towel in the basket is just perfection 😇😇

I love that your thrift stores have designer items for sale - at reasonable prices & they don't gouge you thank you for the 2 new recipes
All your thrifty additions are lovely. You have a great skill at creating an inviting home.

I absolutely love thrifting. It’s the best way to get that collected, inviting look for your home. Loved this video! ❤

Hi, Hilary,
I'm surpised that the dog bed is too small for Finn. Dogs usually like to curl up small into a cozy bed. I know mine does!
Hi Hillary. I was just gonna say that wicker basket you put the muffins in looks to me like it could be used as a pie plate holder too.
The tuna patties look scrumptious! I will definitely try this. You are so blessed to have such a great thrift store in your area! You found some amazing things!! Love the table especially. And I love your shades!

I wonder if you could make a large stuffed pillow to put in and make sure it is to the top of the basket, he may then be able to sleep on the pillow ?
Hmmm that’s a good thought, since it does taper
A sewing project for your daughter and her teacher?🤭

I make a coffee cake with sour cream. I agree: it really adds an extra richness and dimension of flavour.

The recipes look wonderful! Love the tuna patty idea!
Beautiful video, Hillary! Great finds, style and I love your azaleas 🌺
Tuna Patty; would be yummy to use as a 'hamburger'...in a brioche hamburger bun, with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, pickle...
The curtains are great. They finish the space.
I love tuna patties - I make them for dinner occasionally. My mom used to make salmon patties when I was growing up. Great thrift finds Hilary! I love your new roman shades. Your videos are my favorite. God bless.

in college u thrifted quite often, and now to this day will still go occasionally and it’s a great treasure hunt😆

Yes, the wicker pet beds are quite pricey. IKEA has one and it’s $80. That was a good find, too bad Finn doesn’t fit.
I know nothing about saving bacon grease. Would you mind doing a video on it?
Love your sofa pad! If you put it on your amazon list - I would look out for it. Thanks for sharing these great finds.
It wasn’t from Amazon, but i did link it below 💛

Hilary where did you buy your tuna? I rarely find tuna that looks as good as the brand you used.

Your thrift shops are so cheap compared to Australia. They would charge around $100.00 for the Ralph Lauren bag.
That gorgeous Ralph Lauren bag was a huge score!
You would be surprised how he will curl up and use it. Have two toy dogs and 2 large. The large dogs curl up in the small dogs beds. No joke. Crazy.
Really enjoy your channel. Do you have a link for your living room area rug?
Wow great price on the pillow

Hi Hilary could you please share the recipe for the tuna patties? Thank you!
Sorry I realize that you already said it in the video 😮whoops

This is Amazing are these thrift shops near you or facebook marketplace?
I want the doggy bed!!! 😂❤new to your channel
You always find such amazing thrifted items. Can you share how you clean them initially: pillow and basket?
I put all of my thrifted baskets in the shower, spray them with 50/50 Murphy’s Oil Soap and water, rinse with hot water shower spray and let dry in the shower. Actually, I also do this to dust and refresh ALL of my baskets occasionally, because the oil soap cleans AND nourishes the wicker.
I tumble thrifted pillows in the dryer to refresh and kill anything.
This is an excellent video. Can’t wait to try the tuna recipe.
Where oh where can I find your recipe for sour dough in the bread maker? I have searched to no avail. Thank you😊
Beautiful video! 😁

I've been trying to find a basket like that dog bed one!!! When or if will you be selling it? Could you ship to California?
Honestly I think the shipping would be astronomical to send something this large that far
Salmon patties were a favorite growing up with my grandparents in the 1970s and 80s. I think the recipe using canned salmon was a post war carry over, possibly?
I make chicken salad with canned chicken all the time and it's delicious and shelf stable (the chicken...not the salad).
