Thumbs up 👍if you think Spotify should reverse their new revenue policy!

Every time we get to about 20k listeners, they claim we have bots.

I refuse to use spotify and instead create my own music library. Which means the artist label get their cut. Plus I appreciate the music more.
Bandcamp was a much better model for discovering new music, but not sure how long that will last.
However I think the problem is peoples attitude to music needs to change, music is a luxury not a human right. Streaming services has made music too disposable and it now has no real value.

This is a great point, and I completely agree with you! Streaming platforms have allowed everyone to release their music, which is fantastic, but the lack of moderation makes it really complicated to discover new music. Bandcamp is great. I also remember SoundCloud being an amazing tool for music discovery until they became their own label, and now the platform is a mess.

I think at some point there will be a new platform that will overshadow Spotify, maybe even TikTok music next year. I think it's just not really fair that Spotify is demonetizing everyone with less that 1k streams instead of just helping upcoming artists via algorithms
