Grey beard here, I have never cared about mission snipers in my games. I would have an issue with it if it detracted from my xp and minerals but it doesn’t affect me. If I have my mission open for 15 minutes and no one joins, then oh well these spots are here for people that need the xp and minerals. In a way I’m just helping green beards get the stuff they want and that’s really what I’m trying to do when I open my lobbies anyways. Helping to community. Make us all stronger and better at killing bugs as a company. Aside from that, you should almost never be mining gold (if all you care about it getting credits/xp) and sometimes it’s a good thing to skip the relay hacking events. The time investment to xp gain is rarely worth it, unless you’re in a double xp mission.

Please join missions that have been going for a while. I'm always happy to get more backup and I've never seen anyone complain about it. It costs the current players literally nothing and can help secure a win that might not have otherwise happened.
Sometimes, having someone join a mission can hurt you if the person who joins sucks. Enemies health and damage is based off of hazard level and player count. If someone joins a mission above their skill level, then they are just making it harder for themselves and everyone else. On easy missions like a no warning on-site refining, then it's not going to make too big of a difference. But if it's a lethal enemies swarmagedon 2 stop escort duty, then it's time to hit the kick button. But most of the times having someone join your mission helps you, and it makes it go faster. It's also more fun to join an early mission so you can play the mission more.
@@DuskcosmogI literally can't even remember a time I've kicked someone lol. A no star can join my haz 5+, We'll carry his ass, let him go down ten times and rage quit, but I never kick them lmao
@JoshuaJames604 if you have the raw skill to just carry, then kicking would just be a waste of time for you. But for most people (including myself) we just don't have the skill to do that, so instead of risking the mission, we just kick. Another very valid reason to kick is when someone abruptly starts something. No matter how skilled you are, if you don't have time to prepare for something, and it's activated, then you have a high chance of failure (I've lost too many missions from this bullshit happening).
@@Duskcosmog Sure, but someone trying to punch above their weight class is not a problem with late joining - it can and does happen just as frequently before the mission even starts. One huge thing you've missed: different mission types have different base XP payouts and those have a huge variance, as seen on the DRG wiki. Egg hunt for instance pays so little that it's never worth taking, not even with the double XP modifier. If we exclude sabo as it's an incredibly obnoxious mission type to cheese, the mission types with the best XP/time payout are in fact escort duty (considering you get it done in 20~30 minutes) and point extraction (considering you get it done in around 10 minutes). Additionally, different warnings also give different XP bonus modifiers, and if memory serves right, lithophage corruption gives +50% which is huge!
One thing that's worth noting if you're grinding for promotions is that each level between 1 and 25 requires more XP than the last one. This means that the true halfway point towards a promotion is not between levels 12 and 13 but between levels 16 and 17. So if you get to level 13 and notice that your credit balance doesn't seem to be on track to afford that promotion, fret not; you're not even halfway there yet.
Remember, there's a 1.278% chance that a driller blowing up their team with a C4 will be funny to those teammates. But it will be funny 98.722% of the time for his teammates if the driller only blows himself up
I once joined a server like that with every single secondary objective present. I had just promoted my scout and was level 1, but had to promote him again after the mission completed due to the ungodly amounts of HP My global XP increased by 8
That is how you get high level, high ranked players that don't know how to play the game because they got their level inflated by the cheated xp servers. They join high hazard level games and just be absolutely useless because they didn't earn their levels. The skill and knowledge of knowing what to do in the game is more important than the levels. The levels are just a number or give players a feeling of progression.

Gunner can instantly finish the core stone season event. Climb on top of the core stone pillar and drop your shield on top directing at your feet and dig straight down to release the core stone, that's it. It has some kind of collision with the shield and completes it before the health bar even shows up.
How reliable is it? Because that would have been good to know on a haz4 lobby where we got 10 aquarq, antenna nodes, double contagion spike, and a core stone on one mission. Died after the core stone because it went into constant wave mode.
@D3X_Ze_Proto I have been able to do it 15 or so times and it never failed. There is a video in UA-cam called "DRG: illegal core stone crimes", if you need a visual, it's really easy
@D3X_Ze_Proto I've done it 15-20 times and haven't had an issue. The randos I've shown on xbox are like "what? how?" Apparently, it's exploiting a failsafe for when the core stone can't spawn rifts it automatically completes, the things it shoots out are considered an enemy projectile, and the shield blocks enemy projectiles triggering the failsafe.
Other tips for getting the most amount of xp an hour: 1. For xp purposes mining gold isn't worth it. Your time is better spent elsewhere. 2. Get used to playing quickly to help with this play scout so you can go through the mission even quicker. 3. Either play with friends who know what you're doing, create a group post stating that your xp farming, or put it in the server title so people know that they need to play quickly. And if they're not playing quickly, then just kick them as they're just going to make the mission slower and harder. 4. Select a mission as quickly as possible. Every second spent in the spacerig is xp lost. 5. If there aren't double xp missions, go for double trouble missions. If you don't want to do that, then do a sing hazard mission. You can join a mission right before it's about to end to reap the benefits, but it's best not to. Doing it doesn't affect anyone else, and kicking people who "mission snipe" is just embarrassing as you're wasting your time. The main reason you shouldn't do it is because it takes the game out of the game. Part of the fun of grinding is playing the game a shit ton and watching your reward collections grow. If you mission snipe you're just hurting yourself as you're making the game not fun at all. At that point, you might as well just hack rewards in. Also, another xp tip is just no-life the game. The more you play it, the more xp you get.
@leeperhapsbased.9057 The only tip I follow from this is tip 5. Otherwise, I just play normally. Some people will want to maximise their xp per hour, so these were just more tips for them.
@@gamingjunkie707 wholeheartedly agreed! Be sure to not become a shitebeard (not a typo). Leave no dwarf behind, rock and stone, pet lootbugs (save at least a few)... But most importantly, be kind
@gamingjunkie707 reread tip 3. I specifically state either playing with friends, creating a group post, or putting that you're xp grinding in the server title. Doing this let's people know that you're xp grinding, and if they can't keep up with the fast pace, just kick them so they can find a regular mission. The only time kicking is toxic is if you're doing it for no reason. Every time I've been kicked and kicked, people have been for valid reasons. Like: Someone punching above their weight class; they start stuff early; they're to trigger happy, and they're shooting their teamates before the dropod; or a friend wants to join. The button is there, for a reason, use it
My list of tips to get as much as you can get: 1) If you have swarmer mutation - take Gunner with ricochet bullets or Driller with napalm puddle flamethrower. Optionally, Engie with Breach Cutter with Whirling Death and Arc Turrets can do the trick, but you have to play more like a bunker or tower deffender (look how repellent platforms work). Scout are less suitable for clearing small bugs, so focus on mining instead, while your team kills everything in sight. 2) Snipe for Dark Morkite beer for Morkite mining and Pot of Gold for Gold rush. Take Hazard 4 missions, because it has best chance against risk of generating (yes, GENERATING not SPAWNING) Golden Bulk Detonator on this type of mission. That way you get money and exp per mission as much as you get from Deep Dives. Yes, you'll have to dig a lot. But nothing goes too simple, doesn't it? 3) Fastest type of mission is Aquark Mining/Morkite Mining with Dark Morkite Beer and Liquid Morkite, if you are skillfull enough. Oh, and make secondaries... well... optional, if you can say that. Don't waste more than 3-4 minutes on them per mission in total. See what you need while running? Yoink it and run further. 4) Double Exp is very good with swarmer or parasite mutation for a mission, because every bug is 1-2 exp each. So, make some work on infestation, if you see this kind of missions. Golden bugs can work too, but you'll have to deposit all that gold. And it takes time. 5) Switch between your classes during Promotions. 6) And remember - time is your worst enemy, if you waste it on movement and don't even shoot something you get EXP from. So be mobile and efficient.
If you want to get your first promotion for each class asap then double xp missions are definitely the way to go. Sometimes there won’t be any available but they are pretty common
One of my favorites is a Gold Rush with Pots of Gold. You can get crack tons of creds and exp it seems. Sure other ways might be more efficient but I like the greed run. Gives me that feeling of raking in a big win, making it rain, or mc' duck diving into a swimming pool of riches. Can play it hyped where you tag spam gold for more voice lines. Yeah resources give you exp. Nitra and gold give you exp, 2 exp for every 1 nitra or gold. So, even if your team doesn't NEED it or you don't NEED the credits. You still get exp for it, and nitra is easy as f to mine so might as well just grab as much as you can as long as it doesn't really hold the team back. For that reason 2 scouts for something like extraction is nice. I often seen an extra scout in those missions and I don't think it bothers anyone because they know it should only make the mission faster. For 'mission snipers' I don't really care so much. It is lame to have a new guy show up like right at the end. Sometimes though making it back to the drop pod can be pretty hairy. I know I've come into some longer running games and basically bail out the team. To me an open spot on a long running game may mean sh1t hit the fan and someone dipped, me going in with full ammo and ready to kick azz and take namez could be really helpful.
Regarding eliminations, i'd like to add, you can clear eliminations very quickly on solo missions, due to dreads having a much lower health pool. It is very possible to beat elimination missions in less than 10 minutes. Also with the introduction of conductive thermals OC for scout, you can easily trivialize eliminations in general. Just be sure to only use that OC when playing with friends. This OC is not suited for public lobbies.
Bonus tip regarding Machine Events: to get the XP you only have to start them, so if you encounter an OMEN, start it and run away, as long as its timer ends you will receive the XP (you wont receive any matrix core rewards tho)
i dont think mission sniping is a problem for other players (from what i can say) but it whould pose a problem for yourself, your character gains experience but YOU dont get experience, by leveling up a character you get familiar with that charatcers kit, their tools their weapons and when or how to utelize them best, if you mission snipe a charater all the way to first prestige you haave little to no personal experience on how your charatcer even works. Basically i see it as a do it on your own risk. personal example i can give is i got my driller to prestige 2 and know driller by heart, now i am trying to level up scout (who is level 1) and it feels like i have to relearn the game XD
I believe cave length and complexity also add to this. So getting one of these with double xp and an easy hazard is nice experience. I don’t really xp farm. I just play and let it come normally.
Your observation for late joiners is something that never crossed my mind. I will admit Im a late joiner sometimes, but my thought proccess from MMORPGs and other is as: "are they struggling with something?, maybe they need some guidance/help". Mind you, I play on haz4 and i always bring the dwarf class the team is missing as it might be the issue (extraction, or liquid morkite missions are the ones I see more offten than not). Am I unintentionally being a bad player in the eyes of others?, its a genuine. question.
I've noticed that in the "mission sniping" technique mentioned, I've done it myself on multiple occasions. (only to get an annoying mission I don't enjoy off an assignment) The timer isn't accurate whatsoever, I've joined a mission with 35 minutes on the timer, as I join they have literally just left the starting room or in other cases they haven't even started the mission yet.
machine event doesn't need to be a success to get xp from it. you can fail it, and you'll still get the same amount of xp. just be sure you exit after timer runs out.
honestly the best way to get exp fast is to have fun and play the game normally because you wont notice how long it takes since you aren't focused on efficiency or whatever
I'm at about five hundred hours of playtime and I have to say it's not a big problem for me if someone joins my mission very late and wants to farm a few exp, I've got used to that by now. however, I play the game in my own pacing and it's extremely annoying when people join super late and then rush through the mission without communicating with the team. Sometimes even sidequests are not completed, which I also find a bit annoying. if you are already very late, it should actually be a matter of course that you adapt and follow the host instead of making decisions on your own. 😊
Never had any issue with anyone "mission sniping" you're finding a problem where none exists. If I do it, I usually apologise for rocking up late for the fun.
Why did you call elimination missions slow? If youre solo with the right build you can kill normal dreadnoughts under a minute, twins possibly faster and then well hive guard is what it is.
If you don't want people to mission snipe then why you still mention it in the video? A lot of people don't care, it'll make more people do that instead of preventing people from doing it
@@Direbeetus Extremely heavy single target builds, spawning them while you explore the caves so that swarms don’t spawn and they dig tunnels for you, dropping a resupply on them
Since you only need a single promotion for the perk slot I kinda wish I stayed on max level bronze 1 with every char. Would be funny not leveling up anymore and being a low level dude with all oc unlocked and super skilled
I genuinely don’t see why “mission sniping” is seen as a bad thing, sometimes deep rock for the casual players have long matches especially if you’re getting matched with newbies, sometimes you need some XP and credits and when joining a mission I’ll try and join the one with the most time just to save on time from playing the game, some missions I play in last 30 minutes up to 40 or 50 minutes. I work full time and have a girlfriend that doesn’t want me on the game all night and only get to play a few days out of the week while I’m still setting myself up for financial success. I would also assume that if someone has been in a mission for a while they would like someone to join them and speed up the process and assist them with the rest of the mission. I myself have been in a mission as gunner when I was solo and probably spent 17 minutes in the mission it was a liquid morkite one, it was getting late and I was hoping people would join and finally a few people joined me and I felt really relieved when before they joined I even was considering quitting and abandoning the mission, those people joined me and helped me complete the mission and get off for tonight with peace of mind and I appreciated them for it, I didn’t assume they are in my lobby for the XP and if they are I really don’t care they simply are trying to make the most of their time, not everyone can play deep rock for hours and hours multiple days a week and I respect that and others should too.
What the hell is wrong with joining a mission late? I've waited for people joining late before, literally doesn't hurt you in any way. It's the same logic as players getting mad at Elden Ring players that uses summons 😂
Mission sniping would be bad if somehow there was a limited amount of XP given out, but everyone earns the same amount at the end. At worst someone helps you get through the final wave and the escape sequence. Nobody I've seen mission sniping has been a dick or doesn't contribute to wave clear or the last of the objective. It literally doesnt matter
I'm here because i want to promote my enginmore than my scout main friend so i cam play scout and gunner without worrying about them getting their scout a higher level than my engi
While I agree with you on mission sniping On the other hand, the DRG doesn't give a shit about you, nothing wrong with getting one over on them from time to time 😉
U dont have to care about mission snipe. More peope = more xp bonus. They get to do a mission in 3 players difficulty and recive a 4 players bonus for nothing. It cost them nothing.
What color is that warthog and how do i get it? 0:20 Also, this will help me GREATLY getting the final 2 achievements of this game, silver and gold all dwarves... My dear its a grind... Nearly there though, left with driller bronze 3 and spy silver 3
Extra tip for events. If you really cant stand omen towers, or any other event. You CAN have your cake and eat it too. Start the event and let the timer run out so it fails. You still get full xp
If someone joins on mission end to take the xp without doing any work if drop pods called you cant kick them i usually abort mission as we get to drop pod to spite them lol i put the work in not you mf 😅
Whose gonna tell bro about the mcr mod and infinite double exp rerolls.. not too mention the elite mcr missions.. sure take a while but efficiency wise... 😂😂😂😂 mfs sleeping

@leeperhapsbased.9057 The only tip I follow from this is tip 5. Otherwise, I just play normally. Some people will want to maximise their xp per hour, so these were just more tips for them.
Why kick players. Maybe make your server private and match with people through discord. Toxicity should be avoided at all cost.
The button is there, for a reason, use it
Whole comment section are members, that's kinda funny
Gotta get gold promotions on all my classes for the achievement. It’s a slow burn but hopefully I will get it done
My list of tips to get as much as you can get:
1) If you have swarmer mutation - take Gunner with ricochet bullets or Driller with napalm puddle flamethrower.
What skin / framework are you using on your minifun? Looks so cool
If you want to get your first promotion for each class asap then double xp missions are definitely the way to go. Sometimes there won’t be any available but they are pretty common
Got gifted a membership, idk how or why, but thats really cool! Also you make good videos!
You did a good job customizing your dwarves
This OC is easily abusable in solo with nishanka electro bolts, it buffs EVERY debuff on the enemy
Great vid 👍
I also thank the person who gave member. very random but thanks!
Same here. I watched a SINGLE Javarak video (Helldivers 2 Exodus) and I got a membership
Me 3, I almost didn't click till I remembered someone gifted me a membership. The DRG community rules! Great vid Jav!
Wait how do you get a membership?
The amount of matches I’ve been kicked from was weird at first but now it kinda makes sense I was just random Joining matches
Anything we should focus on to get the Performance pass done ASAP?
My only issue with sniping missions is if they come in and call the drop pod. Don't touch the button. Wait five minutes so I can finish exploring
I think the best mission is the egg hunt for 8 eggs. It has the highest chance of spawning a machine event in the game and is relatively quick!
I usually do the opposite of mission sniping. Always try to get mission at the start. I'm here for the journey 😅
Thanks, This is so helpful
I believe cave length and complexity also add to this. So getting one of these with double xp and an easy hazard is nice experience. I don’t really xp farm. I just play and let it come normally.
Great video! Thanks
We're going fast and deep with this one
Sorry to ask, but I have a question: what is the name of that weapon paint job for the warthog at 0:19? it looks sick and I want it.
That would be the Bubblegum skin and it is incredible!
By the way, the crazy mission control mod is called Google translated mission control
Thank you Kind person for giving me membership
Seen you have google translate mission controll
Did you activate the dwarf GT mod as well? If yes, do you have a video whit the mods on?
Whoever gave me that random membership when I wasn't even in stream, thank you.
honestly the best way to get exp fast is to have fun and play the game normally because you wont notice how long it takes since you aren't focused on efficiency or whatever
last time i watched a video like this the video was 2 years old, so i looked down to see if it was old. 2 hours old
answer - save editor, or just download save from nexus mods - 600h hours saved for nonsense grind of overclocks
How do you get that heat level for your minigun on your reticle?
use mods that make molly and bosco fast and grind easy missions like egghunts, eliminations with scout and extractions
Is it worth it to go for secondary objectives or just the primary ones?
If you can you should always go for them yes!
The omen comment felt like a personal attack 😂
Never had any issue with anyone "mission sniping" you're finding a problem where none exists.
If I do it, I usually apologise for rocking up late for the fun.
Why did you call elimination missions slow? If youre solo with the right build you can kill normal dreadnoughts under a minute, twins possibly faster and then well hive guard is what it is.
Is that crosshair heat meter from a recent patch update, or is it just a mod?
It is a mod
@@javarakgaming That's what I thought. Thanks for replying, but it would be neat if that can be implemented in the XBox One console version.
just raw dogged an elite deep dive. no overclocks, no cosmetics, no guns. just swinging my pickaxe with a junk out. truly i have lost my mind.
What about that cheese way using mods to spawn lootbugs on double xp missions? 😢
If you don't want people to mission snipe then why you still mention it in the video? A lot of people don't care, it'll make more people do that instead of preventing people from doing it
But Then again: WHO Cares really? If thats how some ppl want to lvl Up that was let em. U can Always Host Friends only or Just Deal with it
Hi, hey just wondering how you get the dps to display?
It is a mod called dps numbers. Its only available on the steam version sadly.
Dreadnought missions are actually really fast once you know how to abuse them
how do you abuse them?
@@Direbeetus Extremely heavy single target builds, spawning them while you explore the caves so that swarms don’t spawn and they dig tunnels for you, dropping a resupply on them
personally i only grind xp when there's only one or two level left from lv25
Since you only need a single promotion for the perk slot I kinda wish I stayed on max level bronze 1 with every char. Would be funny not leveling up anymore and being a low level dude with all oc unlocked and super skilled
Thanks to the person who gifted me member
Thanks to a person who gifted a member
Most XP - late join, the later the better. No exceptions or comparison...
What the hell is wrong with joining a mission late? I've waited for people joining late before, literally doesn't hurt you in any way. It's the same logic as players getting mad at Elden Ring players that uses summons 😂
Kicking em is fun
I should probably play Hazard 4 more often. I’m not that good at it though. XD
How do you make the heat meter show up on your minigun reticle? Is it a mod?
It is a mod! It's called Weapon Heat Crosshair
@@dary3 Thank you!
1hr member gang
While I agree with you on mission sniping
On the other hand, the DRG doesn't give a shit about you, nothing wrong with getting one over on them from time to time 😉
U dont have to care about mission snipe. More peope = more xp bonus. They get to do a mission in 3 players difficulty and recive a 4 players bonus for nothing. It cost them nothing.
Rock and YAWN
Pro Tipp if you want your fun ruined: Play with XP mod people
Tip 6 was too confusing, I broke my controller and threw my TV on the lawn.
What color is that warthog and how do i get it? 0:20
Also, this will help me GREATLY getting the final 2 achievements of this game, silver and gold all dwarves... My dear its a grind... Nearly there though, left with driller bronze 3 and spy silver 3
Bubblegum, I believe it's in cosmetic matrix cores
don't chase xp, just enjoy game
Yeah, if it’s past the 10 minute mark, I don’t join. I think that’s pretty reasonable.
Just join modded runs. More fun more battles more exp resources and money.
a comment to boost the activity
Kicking people who join late kinda sounds like trying to force other people to play how you want them to
Aww, someone has to grind his own levels?
Extra tip for events. If you really cant stand omen towers, or any other event. You CAN have your cake and eat it too.
Start the event and let the timer run out so it fails. You still get full xp
If someone joins on mission end to take the xp without doing any work if drop pods called you cant kick them i usually abort mission as we get to drop pod to spite them lol i put the work in not you mf 😅
Lmao I wasn't even subscribed and someone gave me a free membership
i'm not starter
Whose gonna tell bro about the mcr mod and infinite double exp rerolls.. not too mention the elite mcr missions.. sure take a while but efficiency wise... 😂😂😂😂 mfs sleeping
Ngl I'm trying not to gain exp too fast at this point.
These promotions are bleeding me dry man!
