Cyber Troopers Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram - Sega Dreamcast - Ajim playthrough [HD 1080p]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 жов 2024
- Playthrough / longplay and ending of the penalty boss Ajim in arcade mode, unlocked by defeating him in arcade mode on the Dreamcast version. Ajim is one of the hardest characters to play as, due to his incredibly weak defence and the fact that his health slowly decreases. To counter that however he is one of the strongest characters in the game offensively, just so long as you can avoid taking damage. Not a one credit clear run, but deaths have been edited out from the video. This video was of the Dreamcast mode which is revision 5.45 of the game.
Not released in Europe on Dreamcast, Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram is now available on XBLA for the Xbox 360 in all regions. However the 360 is the 5.66 revision and includes additional characters and stages.

Swapped my spare MVC2 game for this back in the day. Still havent got the twinsticks. lol
Had to watch this to wash the stupid Index crossover I just saw out of my eyes. Thanks.
Indeed it wasn't the game anyone really wanted, we did a Raiden playthrough on VOOT as well: ua-cam.com/video/UltVe7L1-WA/v-deo.html
Should get round to doing a video on the Xbox 360 version using 5.66.
Randomised Gaming I'm a Cypher girl myself.
Our editor who does the videos is mainly a Raiden player, but I know he has finished the game with all the robots in the past.
dreamcast hands down favorite consol. great times. great games. better graphics.
It's a firm favourite console of many SEGA fans, our team has a soft spot for the Saturn.
Too bad Sega won't release this game on Steam....
Wolfedge75 With the success of Valkyria Chronicles on Steam you may well find that Sega release more of their games on PC in the future.
TheArcadeStriker Buy it on Xbox360 and show your support for the series and Sega. Don't pirate it when it's only a few pounds to buy. The Dreamcast release is also very cheap and affordable to buy.
+Randomised Gaming Do you know how to enable the versus mode on the Dreamcast version? Even with two controllers plugged, the versus option is grayed out.
Sounds like you have a faulty Dreamcast or joypad. Check if your port two is working on other games, versus mode should when when two controls are plugged in.
That is really weird, since on Practice mode using 2P Controller on the dummy makes the Player 2 able to control it, and it works, but no idea why the Versus mode still wouldn't work. (And rumbling/force feedback wasn't with PuruPuru pak? Because I don't have it enabled)
I wouldn't say Ajim is one of the hardest to play as, If you know how to play as Cypher, Angelan or Fei-Yen Kn then the strats roughly transfer over.
Basic strat with Ajim is to play mid range keep aways and mind games. LW and LTCW have great homing and longevity. Use them to relentlessly pursue the opponent and continuously apply pressure on their movements and placement. Then use RW to punish every opening they make.
Use dash>RTCW to always have the upper hand in mobility as not getting hit is your only real defence (although you can use LTCW as moving cover as it will absorb any direct attack on it). Top up your offence with Aerial Dash>RTCW when you're going in for the the kill.
CW is only useful at the beginning of the round as it has diminishing damage the lower the opponents health goes. But if you want to be frisky, you could always throw out a dash>LTCW to send out more orbs to increase area saturation. However, it could backfire and you could end up healing your opponent.
When you're saying that you already need to know how to play as another character then that's not as easy character to master at all. The main thing with him is due to the low health you have to play fast, attacking and defensive gameplay to win. Long battles are not something you can do as him that well as his health is always draining.
quite a quirky game(unlocking this character requires completing the first two or three matches then running out the timer) I miss this game and like the mechanical designs, the music, stage design, really all of it. VOOT showcases some of sega's best work in my opinion. Specineff is the reason I still use scythes in games today.
It is a superb game, currently SEGA have done a collection on the PS4/5 of all the three arcade games, but have yet to release it in Europe and America. So all we can do is nag them until they do.
that intro lol
Does Ajim's battle cry sound like it is screaming geometrically?
this looks great, I'm still yet to play the Saturn one
best. mech. game. ever.
Only now am I realizing that Ajim is a clone of Cypher...
I still can’t believe sega finally was able to get a pixel perfect arcade port of a Sega Model 3 arcade game on to the Dreamcast lol cuz back when the Dreamcast was out and still fresh I remember getting pissed cuz all the other Sega Model 3 port attempts on the Dreamcast failed but after reading an article at the time about virtual on oratorio tangram getting a pixel arcade perfect port to the sega Dreamcast I was screaming with excitement, basically the article said that Sega wasn’t going to let the Dreamcast die without getting the worlds first ever Sega model three arcade perfect port on to the Dreamcast, they basically went all out and went around every flaw they got in there way to make sure they took the model 3 version and slapped it right on to the sega Dreamcast
BackWoods Outlaw It was pretty goddamn amazing. Lacked online play, and had no split screen I believe.
Virtual On, on Dreamcast is a beautiful game
@@aegisreflector1239 yes I mean can you just imagine that if Sega literally got its Dreamcast hardware to run model three games literally arcade perfect I mean they showed a demo of scud race when the Dreamcast first came out showing that it was possible of doing the Sega model three arcade hardware perfectly but it fell through virtua fighter three though was actually pretty damn close then what people suggest, it gives you a pretty good idea of what model three was attempting to look like on the Sega Dreamcast it wasn’t an arcade perfect port but if was close enough to show the sega model 3 hardware screaming outa The sega dreamcast Lol
But again I did read in a Japanese Sega magazine from the time virtual and was released that they made sure that all the other obstacles they came across with all the other Sega model three ports on the Dreamcast they were not gonna run into those problems on virtual and they were going to legitimately make it Sega model three arcade perfect and they did just that lol

Hi there just wanna ask did you play the one with the index crossover? If so did you enjoy it was thinking of buying it
Haven't played it ourselves, but from all the mecha fans we know who have played it. Many have said it is the worst game in the series, hence why we haven't covered it.

Randomised Gaming hay quick question I have the Japanese version of this game on my sega Dreamcast is the Dreamcast mode the same as the arcade mode would be ? Cuz you have to unlock the arcade mode which is dumb so I can only use Dreamcast mode, so I’m just assuming that it’s the original arcade mode just under the name Dreamcast mode
So here's why you should never reply to comments on UA-cam and always post a fresh comment as, we only get notified about fresh comments and reply. We are just updating the pin post and this is the first time we have seen your question! To answer your question 4 years later (sorry about that), arcade mode is the older revision of the game and the Dreamcast mode was a newer revision and there are a few gameplay and stage changes between. There was a third revision with extra characters after the DC one which was the version released on Xbox 360.
Is Virtuaroid Customize unlockable or available from the start of the game?
Have a feeling it's one of those features that was cut from the North American release of Virtual On OT on Dreamcast.
Can You Tell Me How You Get Ajim?
A search of any good cheat site will find you your answer:
www.gamefaqs.com/dreamcast/256512-cyber-troopers-virtual-on-oratorio-tangram/cheats
The easy way to summon him in arcade mode is to win via time out fighting at long range after a few matches he will show up to fight you.
Who is this character i don’t remember himbst all
Ajim is the penalty boss who would appear, if the player was overly defensive.
What a shitty boss-mecha(crystal?).
Not unless you know how to use him right
This doesnt look any better than the Sega Saturn version
It was released on the updated Model 3. The predecessor to the Naomi ( dreamcast hardware). Sorta a in between of the Saturn and the dreamcast.
I have both, trust me when your playing one after the other. The graphical difference becomes alot more significant. This game is beautiful on Dreamcast
@@aegisreflector1239 I have the Sega Saturn and Xbox version of this
worst controls this game
It takes time because it's a mech game but once you get them down they're really good
You mean great controls face it you only saying that because you're bad at the game
@@otakuthegreat well I tried playing it with a Xbox control while emulating the game. I admit I am bad at the game but not a lot games are as tedious as this one.
This game was never meant for controllers. It’s a twin stick arcade game. With the twin stick on Dreamcast the controls are very fluid.
Kinda short, repetitive and lame game.
