Bought one of these a month ago 4 inch 9mm. Ran 200 rds thru it, no malfunctions but would drop hot cases on my forearm. At 200 rds replaced extractor, firing pin, firing pin stop, slide stop, and back strap with Wilson Combat parts and polished chamber, feed ramp and rails. Have 1000 rds. on it now and it runs like a champ. With the Wilson parts have about $1500. in it, will put it up against any $3000. 1911, love it, but it's heavy to carry with the steel frame.haha

The bobtail shape has nothing to do with ergonomics. It is for concealed carry purposes so the grip doesn't "print" as severely on your clothing like a traditional squared-off grip.
That bobtail grip saves the seat in you're vehicle.
The bobtail wasn’t made to fit hand better it was cut so it wouldn’t dig into you while concealed.
Just got one today...5". The mag seems a little chincy other than that I love this pistol!

@@Jc-js9uu The low end of high range starts with Wilson at $3500. and then you go up to 4,5,6, and 7 thousand from there. A two thousand dollar 1911 is a production gun. Less than two thousand it is a production gun with "mim", and "cast" parts on it.
