Wow! Thought I heard Iron Butterfly’s “ In A-Godda-Da-Vida” playing in my head! Good job!
Great show! Loved the computer generated view of the one quilt and would love to see this all the time. Thanks.
Yes, please!
The first quilt print looks like the hippy movement. Love it, as I’m a ‘60’s child.
I love your hair, Hannah. Very cute and stylish!
Loved the computer images of what the quilt looks like with the fabrics picked.
I love how you're showing the renderings.
Rustic Townhome fabric is so beautiful
*The Universe* brought this video into my sphere when I needed a pattern to reward an unsung hero who, behind the scenes had been caring for a beloved friend, literally keeping him alive until events unfolded to alert others, including myself.
Of course, how do you thank someone adequately?: Make them a quilt, right!?
The Good Samaritan color choice was burgundy, which presented problems because of its "deep/dark" components (dark and depressing).
Found this video and am almost done with the *Sew Quick Pattern (Queen Size),* utilizing a rich dark burgundy as a "focal big print" and softer ethereal green and complementing muted yellow to balance out the composition.
The interesting additional effect of the four patch green/yellow complementing fabrics is that it has created a shadow effect from the burgundy big blocks. It's quite amazing--and beautiful.
I've chosen an echoing free-hand quilting pattern resembling a woodgrain, which perfectly accents the burgundy, offering a masculine finish.
Interesting how coincidences can turn into miracles!
And, I must be ready for the lessons taught through this contributor because I'm beginning to hone my quilting pattern designs to three to five color selections--it makes sense and has changed my whole world view of pattern selection.
(For all the quilting shows I watch on UA-cam, learning the basics when I took up quilting four years ago now, I don't know how I missed this series. The "three color" fabic selection process, then chosing the pattern makes so much sense. I'll be saving so much money and shrinking my UFO collection substantually. This is an amazing system. Thanks.
That's not to say I won't attempt multi-color fabric quilts again, I just think I'm going to focus on this concept for a while and see what comes of it!)
I made a quilt for my grandson using the first pattern, my own fabrics. It is beautiful.
Sew Quick is one of my favorite patterns.
I love seeing all the new fabrics and combinations with different patterns. This was fun!
Love the colors from the Stay Golden.
Love big blocks. They allow so much of the focal fabric to be seen which if it’s your favorite, makes the quilt mor beautiful and appealing.
Very nice video of beautiful fabrics for beautiful quilts!
Love the Cardinals
I agree The Striped Magic was awesome
Loved the fabric on the kit called Striped Magic. Just beautiful!
Hi ladies! Great job again tonight! I like big prints and anything in the teal, aqua, and turquoise range is beautiful to me! Glad to see you back , Hannah! Tell Donna Howdy!
Big prints are so much fun, and those colorways are always stunning. Thanks for spending time with us, Sherry! We'll pass on the hello's to Donna! 😊
I love the colors in Free Flow. 💕 Actually, I think I like all the colors you showed tonight. 🤗
Great show of large print fabrics, Fran and Hannah. I liked all of the choices they were very beautiful. Looking forward to the next show as always.
Thanks Marion! 💜💜
I have watched several free motion quilting videos where they demonstrated circles/bubbles. When I saw that black fabric with the circles my mind immediately thought that would be good to try to learn making those because you could just follow the pattern on the fabric. 😊
Great idea, Cathy!
This is one of the best tutorials. you give us ideas and then reinforce and show us. My hang up is putting material together to get the right combo. You definitely help me
Thank you so much Connie!
Positively YOWZA. Love these feathers!!!
Beautiful fabrics
Great job Hanna and Fran beautiful 🤩 fabric.
🥰😍🥰 Beautiful Fabrics & Quilts❣️
Love that pattern
Watching you ladies always puts a smile on my face and a bounce in my step!! Love your videos!♥️♥️♥️
The first quilt fabric reminded me of “Horton Hears a WHO”
That's a great point! I see it now!
Love the pattern and the fabric chosen
Thank you, Mildred! Glad you like them! 💚
You are so inspiring! ❤️
Yowza fabrics, Ladies! 😃
Too funny, I have that first quilt design on the longarm right now. Made the twin size! Love it, was able to cut it out and piece it in one day.
Hooray! That's awesome, Cheryl!
Love watching your videos.
Can you do a small block wirh bigger print
Oh my.... when I saw this pattern (Stepping Stones) I was at first disappointed because I have a yard of stripe fabric and didn't think I could use it in making this quilt, have seen that I used a striped print was a game changer for me! Will definitely attempt this one!
Yay! Fran has another video where she talks in-depth about directional (stripes included) fabric and what to look for in a 3-yard quilt pattern when making your choice - ua-cam.com/video/08aZfPoSegI/v-deo.html
Was the Stay Golden focus fabric from Ruby Star? I didn’t think you carried RS. I love them and i love your videos. Very inspiring. Have made 3 so far.
I'm in the process of making Happy Go Lucky. When I lay out the first row of my 41 1/2" and then lay out the 2nd row, which is 6 1/2" pinwheels (with the thin plain pieces in between), only 5 fit across the 41 1/2 piece. The pattern calls for 6 6 1/2 x 6 1/2" pinwheels. What am i doing wrong? 😮
I can’t find the Joyful Cardinals set. I guess it’s already sold out. 😢
Unfortunately they have sold out 😢 Our Cardinal fabric always goes so fast!
Would love the quilt pattern instructions…and amount of yardage used. That’s what’s missing in your videos!
All of our quilts use only 3 yards of fabric, that includes quilt top, borders and binding! Only additional yardage would be for the backing of the quilt. All of the pattern instructions can be found in the patterns once purchased. 😊 Thanks for watching!
Where do I go to order books an materials.
Do you ever mix flannel with cotton?
We don't do it a lot for our quilt kits, but flannel makes a great backing because of the added warmth. We prefer to only use 100% cotton when making the quilt top.
I just like mixing textures. Why I saked.
