I believe it is and those that say it doesn't work fast up close it literally works the same as a red dot with zero magnification if you just keep the front flip cap closed and both eyes open *it's like an aim point with the black front cap and clear rear cap same concept applies
For me a SHTF optic must have an etched reticle or cross hairs. I have had powered optics fail me. Sure I sent them back to be repaired or replaced, but that iis worthless in a prolonged situation where that just won’t work. Point 2 is that on “this” ACOG, there is no electronics, battery problems, or anything else that can happen with this particular optic. On a 5.56 caliber or even a 6.5 Grendel caliber AR, you will never need more than what this proven battle optic gives you. You will be needing an optic that can get you out to 300 yards or less in a SHTF situation. Probably less than 150 yards. Many studies and professional soldiers will confirm this unless you need a sniper type optic on a sniper type rifle. That ain’t an AR-15. This makes more sense than most other optics, no matter how much you spend. Our military has done all the work and live combat testing needed to crown this optic king. You can learn to shoot these very accurately at near point blank range with a bit of practice.
Its of my opinion that you dont need a qd mount for an acog. Unless the mount doesnt hold zero while fixed to the rifle, why would you even need to take it off unless in the off chance that something hits it bad enough to put it out of action, at which point youre probably fucked regardless.
@Ricardo Rodriguez aim point all day. From what I remember the eye relief was not very good and there was too much going on inside the reticle. I prefer simple.
For what it’s worth the eye box is excellent The eye relief is short If you’re a shorter person and run your stock fully collapse it is an absolute non issue I love the ta31 I’m 5 ft 9
Wanted one of these forever, my dad got me one and I was so excited until I realized it was a fake and was nothing like the one I had used a while back. Obviously not going to get mad at him for not spending 1k on me but i was seriously bummed out for a few days. I'll make sure to buy an off brand for his next gift 😂
Have loved these ever since we were issued them, been trying some Primary arms which are great as well, but nothing compares to how indestructible these acogs are. Literally put them through hell, and out of hundreds of acogs I've only ever seen one break.

Yup. If the marines can go back home from iraq with this on. I trust it.

Cheap QD mount is better than the factory knobs? That’s complete non-sense. Factory mount is solid as hell.

I like QD because it returns to zero nicely
glad to see you're still posting! Always loved the format of your vids!
Used them in the Marines. I prefer aimpoint or eotech to be honest

@Ricardo Rodriguez no idea what that is. To be honest with ya I’m not really into the gun world too too much. Just a simple set up and I’m good
@@data9594 I went through that after getting out. Now as I get older I find myself going back to the acog more and more.

Im glad you got this video out i was wondering if i should get one eventually
Glad to see your doing ok I've been missing your content
The eye relief is just fine with the proper mount, ie. Larue LT681 for the AR-15A4 A2 stock.
What’s a cutie mount You mentioned in the video fairly new to scopes and mounts can you help with the link I have the same scope
It's called QD it stands for quick detach so instead of having to undo screws you can just throw a lever and take off your optic
do you still shoot in Snohomish? Im moving back to Seattle soon and im looking for places i can go.
I still think ACOG is awesome and it always works
Why is the ta51 ? Does it come loose?
The tritium will most likely go out before anything else on this scope
That odg lmt though 😍
Are there scope covers for this optic?
I want to take it hunting in the rain or snow.
It's waterproof

How do you like the LWRC?

My next purchase..

You’re one of those people who will sell a used product for the same price as a new one
Everything is worth what the buyer is willing to pay for it.
@@rampantcolt No it is not. That is just your excuse to take advantage of people.

If you're doing something that other people are already doing, do it better. This is not better and everyone's doing "gear reviews".
