- The PluginIndia team got an opportunity to test one of few mid drive motor based electric cycle sold in India. The brand is called Pedeleze and is based out Chennai. We also got to spend time with their H2 Plus electric bike. In this video, i give my thoughts on the company and the eBike.

Great job Pedalease team. We showed your eBike to cycling community here and usually cyclists dont like eBikes with cadence sensors and hub motors, but Pedalease which has a mid drive motor and a torque sensor, this makes it a very natural cycling experience and is a game changer for cyclists! We look forward to larger size battery and other options too.
@@pluginIndia We find people across all age groups and categories love Ebikes with torque sensitised mid drive as it is very akin to natural cycling experience. we have smallest foot print battery 5.6 ah which gives 35km range of standard conditions and have hicapcity 7 ah and 8.5ah and more as a configurable option. We are providing this optionally for user to configure for higher capacity as well to remove the range anxiety. This being mid drive we are able to leverage the mechanical advantage of crank and gear combo. So even at lower battery levels there is no change in assist levels.

How much cost
Very nice bike...proud to see Probably nations first production mid drive (BB mount) .this is a new benchmark love the touches of fine details like on the go angle adjusting handle stem, nice grips ..if there are more option on a seperate model like folding metal pannier basket, removable racks one can ditch the car for this bike on city rides..looking at the ease, comfort and carbon benifits i can get here

Looks like there is also an underseat suspension. It is important.
Yes there is an underseat suspension which can be adjusted to the required level. Major adjustment under the seat tube and finer adjustment too possible.
can you couple an internal gear hub to the mid drive motor?

Looks amazing. Torque sensor was the clincher. Was planning to import a bicycle from the US. Not anymore! How about a 48V version in the upgrade options?
@Jay, Can the H2 ebike be customised with Hydraulic Brakes, as I did not find this customisation when trying to place an order other than choosing the Battery capacity?

I was about to buy an bicycle this week and I came across this e-bikes concept and I’m very impressed and I have a doubt about e-bikes in general? Can they be used as a standalone manual bicycles? Without those batteries?
yes by all means can be used as a standalone bicycle. Most pedaleze riders switch off assist and ride like a normal cycle and use assist to travel farther and or faster. Here is the biggest advantage of electric bicycle. with battery charge running dry still one can reach the destination. this is where the gear trains come in very handy too

This is the only mid drive in production today...
I'm planning to buy an electric bicycle. I live in a village where there are steep inclines that I need to climb. A normal bicycle cannot climb these steep inclines comfortably. I am not sure if a 250 W motor will be enough. What's your opinion?
How steep are these inclines? Regular city flyovers are not a problem.
We also climbed a 11-12 degree hilly roads in Pune - like any cycle you have to pedal and set mode to highest assist mode.
@@pluginIndia the steeps here are definitely more inclined than a flyover. I think torque is what really matters here. 80 Nm torque seems to do the job. Anyway I'll be test riding before buying. Thanks.
@donythomas7 yes our motor can generate 80nm of torque.
