SURPRISE! We helped make a board game! Wilmot's Warehouse is a fabulous co-operative memory game from CMYK (Monikers, Wavelength, Daybreak), David King, and Hollow Ponds (Wilmot's Warehouse, I Am Dead, Flock) with a whole bunch of additional flavour and love by us!

In Wilmot’s Warehouse, your team will work cooperatively to organize the warehouse, using memory, imagination, and silly stories you make up.
DRAW product tiles off the stack, DISCUSS what they look like, and PLACE them somewhere youʼll remember!
After you place each tile, you flip it over and canʼt look at it again until the end of the game.
So your team has to remember where youʼve placed previous tiles as you decide where to place new ones.
At the end of the game, in a 5-minute rush, your team will have to match all 35 face down tiles with customer cards. Consult your performance review to see how well you did!

As an autistic person I absolutely love the video game, it has it all: order, routine, and sorting objects into logical groups! Imagine my joy when I find out its now a boardgame :)

Did you play baba is you? I only lump them together because I learned about them at the same time. I felt lika one puzzle game is probably enough and chose baba. It absolutely broke my brain. Half forgot about wilmot, is it less brain draining do you think? If you played both I mean. Thanks! ❤

@@Kufunninapuh They're extremely different games - Wilmot's Warehouse is very similar to the board game, except instead of being limited by the tiles being face-down, you're limited by your camera not being able to see the entire warehouse at once. It's an extremely open ended game where you're free to stock any item anywhere you like in your warehouse, with the main challenge being to be able to remember where any arbitrary item is when a customer asks for it.
@@Qualjyn I have, and it's an incredible game. It's much more similar to Baba is You, but I'd say Patrick's Parabox is a bit more focused on the core Sokoban mechanics than Baba is You is - stuff like how to get a crate around a tight bend or out of a stuck corner. However, it's still got an incredible core gimmick that it knows how to use, and like Baba it will constantly expand that gimmick and reapply it in ways that continue to amaze
Bought this and played with my 7 year old, my 5 year old and my wife, and we LOVED it.
The video game just didn't sound good in concept (get goods, put them anywhere but figure out your own way to remember where they're at and get it efficiently, and fulfill orders at the end of the day as quick as possible), but was a lot of fun.
Seems like this is a clever way to turn that concept into a board game.
Looking forward to trying this! I may also preorder a copy.
Whoa so cool! I saw Pip tweeting about her working on Flock (which is by the same team as Wilmot's Warehouse) so its rad to see the crossover fully head into the SUSD world

Last week we had a game party, and a normally-rather-proper friend mimed the most fabulous glamorous owl I have EVER SEEN.
I don't remember if that's their box or not, mine are shuffled together.
Of course that's one of ours! :D
My partner and I immediately bought this after watching this video! We both really enjoyed the original console game, and this adaptation looks like a really fun way for the two of us to spend an evening when we want something fun and silly, but don't have the brain power for something that requires actual tactics 😅

I loved the video game on switch and this looks like it plays something like story cubes plus memorisation through story telling is something I’ve wanted to learn.
That looks great. The graphics look great, and the gameplay seems very entertaining. I can't wait to play this with my family.
I played the prototype with the designer and we were blown away with how much we enjoyed it. During the game we were like “omg I’m so lost, we won’t get any of these” and then by the end we only had like 4 that weren’t even wrong, we just got them mixed up. Like “oh the noodle shop was ABOVE the hungry lady cause it fell on her, right! I thought she dropped the noodles”
And the silly story you come up with is absolutely ridiculous and it’s wonderful.

I loved the concept of the video game but always felt a little worn out after playing. The time management of moving and stacking, working by yourself, etc.
The board game looks like a tantalizing twist and a rollicking good cooperative experience.

I will not lie, I haven’t seen more than 1 minute of this video but it’s a cymk game about a video game I like, so my ass hopped out of bed and ordered it.

Wilmot's Warehouse video game was unreasonably fun to play with my wife. We absolutely loved it. Can't say I'm immediately convinced by this board game version, but I'm certainly intrigued.

You can order from the pre-order or next month it will be on Amazon as well, but we know shipping rates are the issue there, so they are working on finding those localization partners.

Funny höw some people just remember straight where things are, and some have a lexical memory (coming up with störies or mnemonics or other additional constructs).

$1000 is a blocker for big orders that would present problems in shipping. Just ordering the game to the UK is $10!

It sounds kinda funny to hear you say "We've worked on this!!" and then say nothing about the extent of the colaboration.
Like is this a game from someone else you did tweaks and worked on it together? I know it's kinda hard to quantize something as vague as "desigining a game" but I wanna hear more about who made this and the entire process!

The tl;dr is Matt and Pip did the original trailer for the video game years back and are friends with the developers. When they were pitched this board game they brought it to us to get our take, and to our surprise we discovered that it has the same "magic" in it that games like Codenames and Wavelength thrive on! So we agreed to jump on board and flex some creative muscles that we don't always get a chance to. Since then we've added dashes of flavour and refinement throughout the development process, a lot of the narrative design through the rulebook, and brought it to one of our favourite publishers who we knew were not only reliable, but create the very highest quality products (Monikers, Wavelength, and Daybreak, to name a few). They saw the magic too, and together we created THIS! A lot of stuff behind the scenes, but some front-facing too, like this announcement video, the how-to-play video (ua-cam.com/video/aIDl5suP_QE/v-deo.html) that we'll publish in a couple weeks when the game is available at retail, and some other fun, short videos that you can discover by playing the game.
