She talks about the accidental Downton Abbey reunion on the set of the film, and working with such a great cast and crew.
Starring in the film are Lily James (Juliet Ashton), Jessica Brown Findlay (Elizabeth Mckenna), Michiel Huisman (Dawsey Adams), Glen Powell (Mark Reynolds), Tom Courtenay (Eben Ramsey). Other notables include Mike Newell (Director), Annie Barrows (Co-author and niece of author Mary Ann Shaffer), Graham Broadbent (Producer), Paula Mazur (Producer), Mitchell Kaplan (Producer), Kimi Armstrong Stein (Producer), Peter Czernin (Producer), Thomas Bezucha (Writer).
Lily James plays free-spirited writer Juliet Ashton, who forms a life-changing bond with the delightful and eccentric Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, when she decides to write about the book club they formed during the occupation of Guernsey in WWII.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is in UK cinemas on the 20th of April.

LOL, I never watch Downtown Abbey so I never knew her. I was watching Castlevenia on Netflix and I heard her voice I thought who this woman with this incredible voice and so I google her and discover her. Her voice is incredible.

She is older now and thinner. Looking more and more like Elizabeth McGovern, who played her mother in Downton. What a shame we didnt get to see her explore the role of Sybil. Would hav add to more fun to that show.

She needs a new agent. Jessica's an INCREDIBLE actress, beautiful to boot, and yet no-one knows her. Ironic that her Downton replacement Lily James became the 'young' face of the show.
@@zbr76 Lily James rode the crest of the show at the right time, though she had nothing to do with its initial success. I like Lily, she's a decent actress and charming, but she isn't as beautiful or talented as Jessica. She's just more "Starlet" material in terms of her type and goals. And she's never done a role that wasn't ingenue or fluff, IMO. Mama Mia II was a travesty. I do agree Jessica needs a new agent, but maybe I am just being selfish because I love her so much. Who's to say what her own goals are? Watch "Harlots" if you can. She is amazing in it, her best showcase and role IMO. Not everyone's cup of tea but the acting is terrific. And of course she looks beyond gorgeous in it.
