The spins aren't unnecessary. They allow faster multi strike combinations without running the risk of hitting yourself with the blade. Most forms are based of from Fencing, swashbuckling, Eastern style swordplay (like Iai) which were all made for sabers with either no edge or only a front facing edge so they don't take the risk of cutting yourself into account hence all the added spinning to compensate for that since lightsabers while technically having no edge well yea they can't touch you 😅

Even as a child, I imagined two double bladed lightsabers to be too much. You can see how all of his power lies in only in his wrists, and their strikes have to be light. It would be ridiculously easy to parry someone wielding 2 double blades, and extremely dangerous for the person getting parried, because the blades on the reverse side of the attack would cut through you with most parry "movements."

There are definitely a few points where things slowed down too quickly. And as much as I appreciate the effort that goes into the coordinated fights like this, I still always notice that the strikes are always aimed at the opponent's weapon rather than their body. I think this specific choreography has a lot of potential, just needs a little more polish on a couple strikes and transitions. But it's really an excellent starting point, so well done!
I agree. The big thing I noticed is all the spinning was completely unnecessary. You always want your weapon between you and your opponent. Showing your opponent your back is asking to get cut.

Ironically, it is actually one of the most aggressive and violent forms, since it specializes in very aggressive movement and constant pressure against multiple duelists. Additionally, they could not have intended it to not mix with other forms if there were no other forms at the time. Makashi, Form II, was designed explicitly for lethal lightsaber to lightsaber combat by the Sith, which was quite effective. Source: I was, quite literally, taught the lightsaber arts. Form I and II, anyway, covid hit before I could learn Form III.

The double bladed light saber is unfamiliar and meant to intimidate the defender uneducated in them. But the double bladed lightsaber actually has less options in combat. You always know where one end of the lightsaber is opposite the other. Having two would handicap the wielder. Not make it better.
