- Today we are back with another AR & VR News video. The first thing we are going to begin with is background audio being back to working on the Quest 3 in the latest v64 update. If you have been using the feature for a while you might know it had issues with stuttering audio, this has been fixed in v64 on the Quest platform. We will also talk about the Quest Visual Positioning System, also known as the VPS. Meta has recently released a blog post explaining a bit more about the system as well as how you can turn it on to improve your Quest ability to recognize boundaries. Varjo Cloud now supports the Quest 3 and Quest Pro, allowing you to render super high-resolution models using cloud GPUs as well as Dyson apparently releasing a real version of that AR vacuuming app that we saw. Finally, Google is getting ready to give us their big AR announcement and WRC is getting a PCVR update allowing you to race in VR! I hope you enjoy this one :D

No need to sideload, just turn on the public test channel in the quest app on your phone, under device settings->Advanced settings, once turned on it will ask if you want to update to v64.

I find it crazy how it will sometimes still know exactly where the room i was in previously from the other room is like its able to see it through the walls which yeah of course it can do this if you set your boundry there and walk into the other room but no it was off and i went to my living room and turned it on to play some beatsaber(it was completly off) and i could see the boundry through the wall in the other room
they are definitely doing something shady that they dont mention in the notes, i also experienced a similar thing.
This has happened on my Quest 3 only, never my quest 2, but it makes perfect sense because I've allowed it at least once to map from the room I was in to the other room it was showing "through the walls" so it knew where that part of the boundary was relative to where I was. It did not show any areas I hadn't let it try to map before. I wonder if that's data you've also given it and that's why?
@@bucketfriend297 thats the thing that other room it was showimg is completly blocked off from this room and it was completly powered off before i turned it on and has not way posible to know im in the same house when it cant see anything in that room and this room hasnt been connected boundry wise in any way

I am very interested to see how a samsung vr headset turns out, if they will be doing different teirs, and if so, how powerful and feature rich the flagship "S" model will be.
I'd love to be excited for the Google/Samsung/Qualcomm announcement but I don't trust Google anymore. They lose interest after a few years and kill products off.

i have v64 on my Quest 3 and background audio does not seem to work for me. If i start playing something in the Browser (e.g. UA-cam Music) and start a VR app, the audio stops playing. If i then restart the playback via the Oculus button with the 2D browser in the background the music also stops playing as soon as i get back to the VR app.

I have a problem with my quest 3. A few days ago my quest updated and since then I haven’t been able to access any android data files for moding bonelab. This has never happened before and it’s like this on both cx file explorer and mobile vr station. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
How is your English so perfect? Only way I could even possible hear a tinge of an accent is because I both am listening for it and now what accent you should have, but even then I am unsure if I am not only imagining that I can hear something other than perfect English with a broad vocabulary.

VPS: let us scan and copy your room of your home regularly so that our device doesn’t forget the boundary that hasn’t moved or changed substantially in the last 3 years.
The quest series has sold a total of 20 million units, so perhaps that 100 million VPS recall number isn't so much.

I will never buy another google hardware product, they always and i mean always give up on them and stop supporting them a few years down the line, they buy companies, then just give up on the tech, not happening again.

Music should be removed from all video games as it's just annoying noise, it's the first thing I turn off on all games, the crap they class as music these days is like finger nails on a chalk board, you young people must have destroyed your ear drums with your earbuds being to loud and so think the crap you listen to is music.
Back ground music should be non intrusive and match what you are doing as it is in great movies, most times if the back ground music is done right, you don't even notice it as it adds to the movie, whenn they get it wrong like every game for the last 25 years, then it's just annoying noise in the background that thankfully can be removed.
