there is an advantage, namely that when you go back to your full suspension it is easier/lighter to pedal... I have the same configuration 34 on my hardtail en 32 on my full sus. good for the cadence.
So sick, we have the same setup then 🤘 I’m planning on staying on the Hardtail for a few weeks just because Ive missed it so much. But I am excited to see how I feel on the full suspension after a handful of rides with the Hardtail 🙏
I'm curious, have you ever tried shoes designed for flat pedals(5tens,etc)? After years of riding in skate shoes, i tried some and could not imagine ever going back. Incredible pedal grip and the soles last 6 months now, not 6 weeks.
I have, I’ve tired some ride concepts and I just wasn’t a fan. I think the biggest thing I didn’t like was how stiff they were, maybe that helps with the longevity of the shoe. But the vans give me ankle support and hug my pedals so well out the box. I grew up riding bmx with vans so I just feel right at home with the shoe haha. They have to have waffle grip bottoms though, that’s the best pattern in my opinion.🤘🤘
Yeah they are 38mm Stanchions. It’s been a beast dude, for the price it was worth it 🙌 I’d be curious to see how a coil fork would feel on this bike though, just because I love how the coil feels on my full suspension. But all in all it’s a great fork. It has 180mm of travel which gives me a lot of confidence on this bike haha🙌🙌
@ dang dude and I thought my hardtail was burly with a 160 (DVO Diamond D2) I may have to try some 38’s in the future! Nice riding too definitely using that beast as intended 🤘
sick video. where do you park when riding laguna beach? and do you have any trails to recommend? im based in altadena so lots of el p and sunset but looking for some other stuff
@@magnuss6147 thank you 🙏 I would check out Aliso, they have some solid trails and it’s a fairly easy to get around in that area. Canyon view park is a good place to park and from the street parking you can ride to the trails (lynx, 5oaks, rock-it, etc) hope that helps 🤝
I think I'm going to buy these cranks now... You convinced me 😂
Haha they’ve been good to me 🙌
Those cranks are being worked on! Good to know they can hold up well
Yeah, I’m not trying to hold back on these rides 😅🤘
IM BACK BABY!!!!!!!!! Great session and great video brotha !
Andrew hooked it up!
He’s the man! He’s believed in me and the channel since day one 🙏
@@GabeGarcia I’ve got one of those followers. Been riding together mountain biking brings people together! Take care out there hermano
34 at sone demanding climbs can wear you down quicker. What’s the biggest sprocket on the back?

Cooking on a HT!
Have you tried the oval front chain rings? I just tried one, and really like it!
Never tried on but I hear good things about them 🙌
@@GabeGarcia Just remember they are bigger in size, so you need to make sure you have room on your frame. A 34t is similar in size to a 36. :)
Hey do you have a video on your gopro setting? Your footage always looks good.
I don’t but I can make one breaking down my setup🤝🤝

Hey, is your drivetrain a 12speed? I saw online that the chainring is only compatible with 11 speeds
@@turtle6234 I have a 12speed cassette 🤘never had any issues with it 😁
@ awesome I might buy the whole set soon. Thanks for the reply
How is the domain on a hardtail? Has 38mm stanchions right? Was contemplating going that route but was worried it might be too much fork on a HT
