Georgia Cooking For The Soul I really did enjoy them. I have made 4 pans this past week since finding your video lol. The only thing I didn’t put in mine was the pecans...only because we forgot to pick them up. Thank you again for the video and recipe. Very...very tasty!! 😋 ❤️❤️
My grandmother (without the white sugar , she would use sugar in the raw).she would make them into a little cupcakes but they are something you would have to really watch they have a tendency to burn in the cupcake pan due to the fact of trying to get the middle done. there's no changes in the recipe it just may take you a few tries to get it down packed I'd ask her for tips but sadly she's not around anymore.

If you had a southern grandmother or mom from the south in the same room as when you asked about the butter if it had to be real or not they probably crack you on the back of the head. Trust me I only made that mistake one time, rolling pins hurt 😆

Do you preheat the oven? How much white sugar should I use? It looks like you did not use all of it.
You don't need to preheat oven. One cup white sugar.
I have made this over and over since I watched this a few months ago. It’s delicious!
It is good, some time it seems like you just can't get enough of them.
How long should I bake it?
I say about 45 mins, make sure you check your oven regularly while baking this; Because everyone oven bakes different.

I haven't tried it, but it might just work don't make them too thick.

It will taste much better with salted real butter. although any kind of butter or margarine could be used.
