    Chewy Bread
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
    Line 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper AND spray pan and sides with cooking spray OR butter and flour one 9X13 pan
    Hand mixer or stand-alone mixer
    Ingredients:
    *2 cups self-rising flour (recipe below)
    ½ cup butter or margarine (one stick/room temperature)
    2 cups light brown sugar (one 16oz box)
    3 eggs (room temperature)
    1 teaspoonful vanilla
    1+1/2 cups pecans (optional)
    *Recipe for ONE CUP self-rising flour from all-purpose flour:
    If you do not have self-rising flour, use this quick recipe to make self-rising flour using all-purpose flour:
    Please note the recipe here is for one cup if you need two cups or
    more adjust the recipe as needed:
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    Stir together until well mixed.
    This recipe will result in one cup of self-rising flour
    Preparation:
    Using a hand OR stand alone mixer, beat together melted butter, light brown sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time making sure to beat well after each addition. Pour in your prepared 2 cups self-rising flour making sure to add slowly and mix well. Fold in pecans and scoop out the batter and spread onto the parchment paper lined-pan making sure to spread over the entire bottom of the pan. Bake 350 degrees for about 30 minutes! The chewy bread will be golden brown when done! Let cool about 20 minutes then cut into squares and serve! Chewy and delicious!

    I’m so glad I ran across this video and YOU! I was just looking to see if anyone made chewy bread different than I do and what I found was way more than that! I pray more people watch this and see what a special woman you are! We need more people like you that knows that there are different types of people in this crazy world and we all need to come together! 🥰🥰

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this. My grandmother used to make this for me as a kid (she was from Macon, GA). I lost this recipe years ago and I felt a bit nostalgic today. Definitely making this for dessert to go along with dinner tonight.

    Hello I am glad I ran across your page my God son is from Statesboro Ga. And there is a lady who makes these for him when he goes home (we live in Bainbridge Ga.) I just told him I am going to find a recipe so I could make them for him, so thanks so very much going to surprise him tomorrow with them ❤❤

    Thank you for this recipe.... do you know if they're are a keto version using coconut flour and or almond flour and swerve brown sugar?...
