    Here is what helped me: 1) Have your upwind 360's dialed 2) A little stronger wind 4.2/4.5 seems easiest 3) Yes on small fins 4) Practice the Flaka at the same time or learn it first 5) Wind being a little onshore was easiest 6) Try in whitewater first 7) Knee high wave is enough. 8) Be patient with yourself :)

    Must be nice to have some actual wind for a change!!!! I've been sailing on my paddle board just to get me on the water! It's like being a beginner again! It's fun, for about 20 minutes...

    Great video. While it's great watching the super humans do the impossible, it's fun watching something I may be able to do.

    Nice effort Ben! Looks like your gear was trying to escape back on the water without you 7:40 lol

    Awesome! I feel that these types of videos will greatly improve my moves, thanks for that! A few sessions ago I was doing those same fin experiments and I will definitely ride with the twin setup much more now. I still feel lots of grip but it allowed me to do a spock with my 75l quad wave board for the first time. The 14 on one side and 8 on the other was too weird ahahah, too many spinouts. I don't have a single slot but I was waiting for you to try the 14 single fin setup 😂💪

    Great Vid! I always feel slightly worried for those people that seem to be chilling in the water though ;)

    i think board design helps a lot. maybe more than the fins. i have the goya custom quad 2017 which runs a single concave throughout the board, so i can make it slip very easily with k4 flex or leons, doesn t matter. the double concave is grippier and need the deepth of fins. clew first puneta, but also gecko to put the weight on the nose are i moves that will help for sure.

    Most people (me included) are hardly capable to do a poweful cut back to initiate a taka, which seems essential(?)

      Well I had a few people asking to do this.. but yes.. I will be doing more basis stuff in the future. But I fully believe this a Achievable move for a lot of people. Plus I’m trying to trick you guys into riding small white water and do more powerful turns.
      As trying to do white water Taka’s will really help your turns.. maybe you don’t do the Taka but your turns will improve as you’ll be more off the front foot and body weight over the board.

    Would setting up the mast base forward help ?

    • @WindsurfingTV
      @WindsurfingTV  3 роки тому +1

      It’s a good question... try it and let me know! 😁
      In theory it should help get the weight forward. But from my freestyle days the closer the mast base to the front foot strap the Quicker the spin. As it a closer pivot point.

    Wouldn't it help a lot to put both hands back after the cutback? That way it's easier to get the body weight and sail forward...

    Bigger wave. The fins don't matter
