    First-rate production and script for this video : straightforward step-by-step approach, simple explanations, visual aids (the broomstick!), great slow-motions and the interview of the top wave rider on the ocean :) THANK YOU! 🙏

    As previously commented, easily the best spin loop guide online and amazing camera angles/slo-mos.

    The best explanation of the spin loop I have ever seen. Explains how the loop rotates and how to get the sail forward, across and spinning downwind. Many of the other videos are too simplistic and don't tell you the right body positions assuming too much. "Just jump up and sheet in" gets you hurt. The smaller the wave or chop the quicker you have to be with all of it but the roadmap he lays out is spot on.

      You are correct, but on the other hand, a beginner can not think about five technique aspects in a split second.So just jump and sheet in is actually not that bad. As long as your feet stay firmly in the straps this is usually enough. Landing on your back tends to hurt and cause some headache, but I never seriously hurt myself. My first attempt I went too steep forward, broke my mast and it took me half a year to save money for a new mast. BTW I learned this jump in very moderate conditions. Just 20 knots of wind, small but predictable wave and had the manoevre in my head.

    The POV clips are what show me "how'z it" done.
    Plus the small waves that are used.
    Reminds me of that saying - "Start small and go tall."
    Thank you! Best wave tip video yet!

    Really nice video with different angles. Helps to understand the different levels of rotation. The tip on lifting the boom up is nice to see.
    Now onto kicking the front foot to the side, I heard it could interfere with the rotation. What is your opinion?
    And finally, I feel like the front leg should bend at the pop to promote forward momentum and raise the boom further. I find it not so intuitive to do, almost like a one foot jump only (back foot). I would love to hear you comment on this.
    Hopefully, I can learn to land then consistently and break all of the secrets to this move!
    Thank you.

    I’m always finding myself rotating but landing in water start position but much up wind! Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong please?

    • @tinus411
      @tinus411 4 роки тому

      If this is your current accomplishment you are actually doing very well! Try with a bit more airtime and a bit more power in the sail and you will get it perfectly round!

      @@tinus411 thanks for replying, can you also tell me why I’m also landing out of the straps 90% of the time in water start position up wind. Is that also to do with not enough power & height?
