This is great! After watching this I can go right out and try the first steps, even if I'm far off feeling ready to do it all the way. Good that it emphasizes the rotation around the vertical axis, making it clear it is a 'twist' not a 'cartwheel'.
Hi! I’m 42 years old, haven’t tried a forward since 2007. After watching this video I went out and did 34 tries (had my Garmin on to be able to count them afterwards) at the end of the sessions I was doing jumping attempts. It was completely onshore and horrible Mushy waves but thanks to trying forwards I had a great time!! This video got me back on the horse! Brilliant! Best video to follow and to get motivated, can wait for a mediocre day to get back out there! Thanks Josep!!!
Well it didn't go well, it didn't look that windy from the beach so I rigged my 5m. Turns out I could have probably managed with my 4m!! Mega overpowered!!
in 1990 i tried this for 2hours at 1bft the rotation of the sail, next day i went to the northsea with small sail was barely getting speed and tried my first, i was so surprised that everything happened as i thought in my head that i throw the stuff half way because the first you always remember and i new i could land my first real and as soon the wind blew stronger i took the first wave i landed it easy . next day back i tried speedloops on planewater to show my friends. easyiest of all moves.
Excellent advice and very detailed tutorial! I lived in Pozo from 96 to 99while studying in the GC university and also worked instructing forward loop lessons. This brought me nice beautiful memories.
G'day Josep, This video is great. I did steps 1-2 in one session then steps 3-4 the next day. Progressing through the steps is really fast and it feels really safe. I am off to Coronation Beach in Western Australia next week to hopefully complete steps 5.... :)

Josep is the king of teaching forward loops. Legend has it he learned to forward loop before he learned to walk!
Thanks for watching and to comment.
Thank you so much josep! Your video helped me learn the forward. Would you consider doing one on the push loop?
@@marie-evearsenault4357 I will

Hey Joe, any visit to San francisco? Where do normally give lessons? Would love to finally nail that forward loops
Not for the moment . But we can do a online coaching
I am 59 years old! Do you think it's too late for me😂😂😂?
Never is to late. It depends more on you. Is really safe if you do it on the right way and with a coach
Great tutorial. Can't wait for this ice to melt so I can get practicing.
